Parkside House

The suite we stayed in was large, clean, nicely decorated and the the bed was very comfortable. It contained all the amenities required for a pleasant stay. Parkside house is located close to downtown Barrie but still in a quiet neighborhood. The parking was in back of the house in a secure area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. So worth the money; I will be going back.

A summer vacation was nicely crowned by a few days stay at Barrie's Parkside House. A large modern house with several suites very well maintained, comfortable. A charming garden to enjoy. Helpful owner. Price lower than one would expect. Worth trying !! Jan

We enjoyed our one night stopover at the Parkside Inn. Although we didn’t take advantage of the amenities such as kitchen, dining area etc we found the accommodations clean, roomy and located in a convenient and quiet neighborhood. The price was very reasonable and we will certainly stay here again when travelling through Barrie.

Easy to book online, find & park (a large parking area behind the property). Great communication, location and secure. Steve & Mark were the perfect hosts. We would definitely recommend staying here if visiting Barrie from one night to a longer stay.

Had a 1-night get-away at the Parkside House - Suite#4. Communication was easy, the place was spotless and we really appreciated the restaurant recommendations. So nice to see local small businesses supporting each other. We'll be back!

My Mother and I stayed here for a week while visiting family in Barrie. LOCATION: located near a park in a residential area in the heart of downtown Barrie. Walking distance to the Lakefront as well as restaurants and all amenities. ROOM: room is such an understatement. We stayed in Apartment #1. Upstairs and overlooking the street. It was very spacious, clean, and well equipped. Why rent a hotel room when you can have your own 1 bedroom apartment for less than cost for a hotel. GROUNDS: there is a gorgeous garden in the rear with chairs and loungers. A private oasis in the city. There is ample parking in the nack, as well. SAFETY: There are security-coded doors on the main entrances as well as each of the apartments. There are also motion activated lights in the back yard. CLEANLINESS: our unit was spotless on arrival and cleaning was provided during the week. A quick phone call ensured our needs were met promptly when needing supplies restocked. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Barrie, especially if staying more than a couple of nights.
