"Room was lovely and clean with everything you need during your stay. Room was serviced however the milk and coffee had not been replenished therefore had to go looking at reception to ask for more - there was no one around at reception area so just went to bar In restaurant and asked for some there.
At breakfast there was a good selection and the waitress ( I think her name was Terry) was very pleasant with nothing being too much trouble for her. Cooked breakfast was okay - think it was batch cooked then reheated , didn’t taste freshly cooked to order like it used to be.
Hotel looks beautifully decorated but feel the booths make it feel more like a pub surrounding rather than a restaurant. I also felt overall staffing levels are at a minimum and hotel is probably more 3 star than a 4 star.
All that said it would be a nice venue for a wedding as it is situated in lovely grounds - maybe that’s more who they cater for now."
