Hotels Near Santisima Trinidad in Barranquilla

I just ended a month’s stay in Barranquilla as a Diamond member of the Hilton Hotel and IHG’s Diamond Elite. I’m utterly in awe of the service I received at Estelar Alto Prado Barranquilla. The attention to detail, and the care given to each guest makes them without a doubt number one in Barranquilla. A first rate service in everything, the administration, reception, the rooms, the pool, and the restaurant and the attention to detail as I Mentioned Before, makes them unique in Barranquilla. I want to offer my warm congratulations to Mr. Jorge Michaels the hotel manager for his excellent job and the reception manager Mr. Yheis for making me feel important and as if I were home.

The hotel is older. The shower room in the picture room is open, and the absence of a door causes too much moisture. The whole room was sprinted with moist odor, which was unpleasant in the long run. Do not really look at the so-called Ctrip, booking star standards. Many of the five-star hotels are pits! !! !! !! The rating is also pit! !! !! When choosing a hotel, you still have to choose a relatively new one, as well as a big brand hotel chain, at least not worse. The hotel barranqilla plaza next door is even worse, not even a few dozen yuan hotel. Booking is actually rated five stars, rated 8.4-9.1! !! !! Super invincible pit! !! Because it is not convenient to travel with products on a business trip, I stayed at the barranqilla plaza for one night and moved to this hotel next door. It is a little better but really not so good! !! Worst experience on a business trip. Please choose a new hotel, new! !!

Absolutely nicest place to stay in Barranquilla. Loved the friendly staff and Colombian breakfast. Good hotel for the price. Got a nice upgrade, never had a problem. People are friendly ,rooms are big and clean. Really nothing to complain about. Taxi driver wouldn’t find it…duhhh

After staying more than a week in mediocre hotels as a tourist this Ibis is a whole relief. Back to European standards with a modern designed hotel and modern rooms, buffet breakfast, so all you can eat, instead of the tiny breakfast at most B&B's. Location close to a modern big mall. Standard room is ok with a good bathroom, bed a bit too hard and the biggest downside you can't open a window, which is noticeable in the hallways as well, a particular smell as there is never fresh air coming in. Free indoor parking available, good wifi.

This hotel was completely disgusting, full of mould and damp throughout the hotel. The restaurant floor appeared not to have been cleaned for many months as the dirt was really ground in, the nets and curtains were also mouldy and filthy too. We had to change rooms twice due to the fact that my husband was struggling to breath due too the conditions. The gym was completely filthy and the breakfast was the same each day, and they did not have anything Vegan for me either. There was nothing nice about this hotel. The restaurant menu was dreadful, old and uninviting. The staff were slow to respond to any asks. The bath had obvious cracks in it, however they had just been painted over. This hotel needs a lot of money spent on it to firstly address the mould and damp issues. The replies to the reviews from the hotel stated that they were in the process of completing some maintenance work, almost 2 years ago, however this place has not been touched in any aspect for many, many years! AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU DON'T WANT TO POTENTIALLY BECOME ILL!! This hotel is down as a 3/4 star, but 1.5 at the very best. I have always been fair around my reviews, so for me to write this, it was absolutely dire 😔

We had a great stay at Movich Buró 51. Our flight was delayed and we arrived in the middle of the night, but our check-in agent was very friendly and professional. Breakfast service was wonderful, service was impeccable. Would definitely repeat, and would highly recommend.

The location of this hotel is good, the Extro supermarket is very convenient! The room is large but the facilities are a bit old, especially the toilet cover is turned over and it is blocked by the sink and immediately falls off! I live in an apartment, the air conditioner is too loud, and the windows are uncomfortable (Barranquilla is close to the river and the Caribbean Sea, the outside air is too humid) so I accepted it, and by the way, Barranquilla The airport is so small. There is only a single room with a locked door in the airport toilet. It ’s amazing!

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Hotel chain states that customer service is the most important thing—it is not. This lack of service was made evident at the start with Sergio at the front desk, who was not only sassy, but absolutely useless from a customer service standpoint. When plans changed and we needed to check out earlier, he proceeded to be unhelpful and tell me he could only honor the reservation for its entire duration. After discussing how often I had stayed at the GHL branded hotels and how modifying the reservation had never been an issue in the past, he went behind a closed door and came back offering a “great” solution: modifying my reservation to cut it from 9 days to 3 days for a higher price (and had modified it already without discussing any pricing with me. I kid you not when I say I spent 1 hour checking in trying to find a solution for both parties. Ultimately, Sergio told me the price wasn’t going to change and I would have to take it or leave it. The bed was incredibly springy and hard. Not comfortable. Room was standard. Not luxurious as website makes it out to be. One day for breakfast, I checked on their app which stated that breakfast ended at 10:30 am, and confirmed with an employee in the hallway at 10:05 am that breakfast went until 10:30 am, and then the lady at the breakfast location gave me a sassy attitude telling me that breakfast was over at 10 am and I could grab from what was left, but for my information it was over at 10 am. I tried to call the front desk using the phone in room to no avail over 5 times. When checking out, I called using the phone to have a bellboy come help with the bags, and no answer. I went to find help from the cleaning staff, who stated they had called down for me. No one came. I ended up going downstairs and asking Rafael at the front desk, who stated he would send someone immediately, but did not. I had to ask again five minutes after talking with him about my issues and he finally sent someone. During check out, I expressed the lack of service and the horrible experience to Rafael, who stated he recognized me from previous stays at the other hotel around the corner, GHL Collection. He stated he would try to help, went behind closed door and “spoke to someone” who told him that since Sergio and I had come to an agreement, there was nothing that could be done. When I asked to speak to the manager, he stated he would call him over and I waited over 15-20 minutes to no avail (when he was around the corner at the other hotel, literally across the street). When I asked for the general manager’s name, Rafael would not give it to me, stating he could not make that information public. As if it wasn’t the general manager’s job to address issues? He would only offer me the reservations manager’s name. I cannot express enough my disgust at the lack of service and care from these team members and their inability to help in any way. Place was clean. At first a small smell of like wet rug lingered in our room but the smell end up going away . Overall great experience . Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool has a great view of the city !

By far the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at. Front desk staff provide false statements and find ways to take advantage of those not from Colombia. To boot, the staff take your credit card number and share it out via unencrypted email.
