Winton Inn & Suites

The manager was irate that I was in town for a local event, turned me away by shouting even though I had a fully paid reservation. Extremely rude and upset from the get go because of the event. He said he was turning away anyone else in town for the event as well. And then of course all the other hotels are full with customers for the event. Don’t waste your time!

My family and I stayed at the Winton Inn in early November 2023. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff members were friendly and prompt with assistance. We had no complaints whatsoever. We'll definitely book another stay next time we're headed that way.

The hotel was a little away from the main part of the city but it was maintained and very clean. They had a restaurant there too that was pretty good. The food was good as they had a combination of indian, mexican, and american food.

Truly lives up to a 1-star hotel. Rooms are dirty & have a stench. Can't stress the roaches enough. Was GUARANTEED upon check-in there would be none, yet I had roaches crawling on the bed & my FOOD almost immediately. Stayed in the room no longer than an hour before trying to request another room. Clerk denied me, and became rude & combatant once I mentioned how bad the bugs were. Literally told me to show him a roach, as if I was supposed to bring one with me. Would have pictures but the hotel clerk and I got into an argument & I left the premises. The place already looks rundown; best wishes if you actually are fooled into staying here. TV didn't even work and roaches were nesting inside the entertainment center & DirecTV console. Also behind the headboard & nightstand. Literally not even safe to spend 1 night here. Grounds for decommission 👎

The hotel is very clean and nice, the family that runs the hotel is wonderful. It’s like a hidden gem. Really nice rooms and beautiful courtyard. The restaurant is amazing. Highly recommend their steak dinner. We will definitely be staying here again.

I chose this motel because the website photos showed room doors directly out to the parking lot. I use a cane to walk. He gives us a room as FAR away as possible from the parking lot in a courtyard corridor. Drove back to the office and "hiked" back in. Asked for a room directly opening to the parking lot. Was told they were all "smoking" rooms. Husband said that was OK. The desk clerk said we wouldn't want one because they were too cheap! Finally agreed to give us the first room in the courtyard corridor which was close to the car. Meanwhile, during all my trips to the office, he kept telling me I couldn't park in the handicapped space even though I have a permit Finally realized the spaces must have been for the restaurant. That's ALL he had to tell me! Tried for an hour to connect to the Internet with info desk clerk had given me.. Grew frustrated and went to dinner. Tried to use the room phone to call, but it was disconnected. Called office directly from my cell phone. Ten minutes later he showed up with new WiFi info, stating the other info was for the room I didn't want, implying it was MY fault for switching rooms. Beds are very high. Had to stand on my suitcase to get in and out of bed.
