"Pending review Reviewed The hotel staff and management were exceptionally helpful in ensuring a wonderful stay. We had trouble getting our rental car to start and the resort staff went out of their way to help us find an auto service (we rented the car in Florence and the rental car agency’s roadside assistance contractor was unresponsive so we greatly appreciated the resort’s help). The view from the hotel and rooms is stunning. Food was excellent. The breakfast included local breads, pastries, and just about everything type of breakfast item you could imagine. Simply a fantastic stay all around that was made even more special by resort staff and management. Hope to return often."

"Old building but well maintained We were given a very large bedroom/ mini suite with bathroom, separated by a small room. Bed looks old but actually is quite comfortable. Missed small things like complimentary bottle of water; box of tissue paper Nice shower Fabulous views and enjoyed the balcony Breakfast consists of a simple buffet from 8.30-11 Two floors of rooms. Lots of stairs with no elevators Owned by Beatrice. Answers questions but doesn’t really proactively offer advice. Real treasure is Nadia who looks after you at breakfast in such a cheerful manner Lots of free onsite parking Not too far a walk to the old town of Barga"

"Outstanding from the hotel service to the fairytale views. We had a wonderful stay in our balcony room. The resort staff Lorenzo, Alice and Guilio were truly customer focused outstanding employees and made our stay extra special the 6 days we started there. Guilio suggested the winery tour at Concori and it was so delightful along with the pasta making class. Thanks Guilio!"

"My husband, daughter and myself were visiting the area in Italy. Our friend recommended Rita's cooking class. We had one of the best experiences of our trip! Rita was welcoming , fun, and knowledgeable. After the class we shared the DELICIOUS meal we had prepared with the guests that were staying at her B and B. We enjoyed meeting new people , sharing a meal and the surprise ending topping off the day with karaoke! So much fun! Thank you Rita"

"The building and grounds are historic and beautiful. The service is excellent with the hotel staff looking to be as helpful as possible. The breakfast was what you would expect at a good Italian venue. Our room had an AC which is a must in August weather. We also got some beautiful views of the mountains from our windows. The hotel is not too far from some great hikes if you like being outdoors (about 25-35 min drive away) and is also walking distance from the main restaurant area. While we had a pleasant stay, we were surprised at how dated our room, furnishings and bathroom were. The bed was also hard. We also would have appreciated a heads up in advance that there would be a jazz concert on the grounds the night we arrived as we were quite exhausted from the trip only to find out we would be going to bed as early as we would have liked (to note the concert was free for guests so def a perk if you aren't tired and look fwd to some fun entertainment)."
