Serene Stay Villa by Doctors
4.5/536 Reviews
It's one of the most beautiful places i have ever stayed at. It's a bit away from the main city, but close to ******** market. It's only convenient to travel if you have your own vehicle otherwise you will end up stranded. That being said, we loved our room cum cottage. It was clean and beautiful and very very spacious and well maintained and had great facilities for a budget stay. It overcompensated us. The main caretaker imtiaz bhai is a rock star! he is an all rounder. He took such such great care of us, going out of his way to look after us. He even gave us lavender saplings from nearby garden. Little azam is also a very sweet boy, he too took good care of us and provided us good service. The owner, mehreenji was in touch with us to make sure we are safe and comfortable. I will surely revisit serene stay and recommend to all those especially the ones who want a slightly isolated and beautiful place to stay in their trip. Surrounded in solitude and utter beauty and gardens around. Food was available 24/7 with the help of the doctor's restaurant within the premises. They even gave a room for our driver to stay at night. We are very grateful. Thank you so much.

Nice place with beautiful view and just walking distance to gondola ride. The room is clean and quite cozy. The dining crew is friendly and very helpful. The only bad thing is the ***agement. We had booked for 2 nights stay. On the 2nd day, when we returned to the hotel after the gondola ride, we were asked to check out@move out. Reason they gave, they had redundent booking due to miss communication with our agent. Is that how the run business? We refused to move out since we had made the payment and we thought the issue was settle after they discussed with our agent but the staff kept on coming to oir rooms saying rooms service but at night they kept asking my son to move out saying that my son is young and Muslims can tolerate and they need 1 more room for their new guest which are from India. They dont even offer any option to us or pay us back. After argued and warned the staff then only they stop. On the day we check out, the ***ager was there but had never take the chance to apologize on what happen. Nice place, nice view but bad ***agement. Will not come again at the hotel
Gulmarg Resorts

Warning: Stay away from this hotel! The value for money is worthless. Our stay was extremely bad, and safety is a major concern with loose electric wires in the showers—posing a serious hazard, even a potential threat to life. No water both in the morning and later in the day after skiing, making basic hygiene impossible. The central heating does not work in the rooms (even if you are told it works, do not be fooled). The dining room lacks cleanliness, and the overall state of the hotel is disgusting. Questionable hygiene practices, such as cleaning used glasses with a dry towel for reuse, raise serious doubts about food safety standards. The room itself was far from clean, no cover over the blankets, imagine how filthy this is. Addressing these issues with the staff and manager only resulted in worsening the experience due to their arrogance. 8 peoples with complaints were waiting in the lobby for the manager who was hiding in his own room according to the other staff that lacks any responsibility to answer questions of these guests. A regrettable and unsafe stay overall in Gulmarg.

We stayed here for tonight with family. Overall nice experience but few points to be considered 1. there are many steps and no elevator facility so it may be difficult for senior citizens 2. room number 19 (so called suite room) had a very small bed which makes sleeping uncomfortable . 3. The breakfast buffet was average, paratha was hard and had to be eaten like chewing gum and the poha was too dry. The hot water facility, heater, room quality, ambience and location is perfect.

Hospitality thy name KHYBER...I with my wife and extended family went to this awesome hotel to stay for one night, but I wished we stayed more...we were welcomed by a very courteous gentleman Irfan at the reception...made us very comfortable...with a welcome drink...and staff helped us allot our rooms... That night in the restaurant Aamir looked after us so well that I am short of words..they say kashmiris are hospitable and he proved it...a very courteous *** who won our hearts by serving us with lot of love... Last but not the least Bilal (assistant manager F&B)..took an extra effort to help us celebrate my wife's Birthday with lots of cakes n excellent decorations... All in all an excellent experience at KHYBER..would love to visit again n njoy their hospitality n pamper ourselves...

I visited gulmarg 2 months back for one night stay and luckily it started snowfall so i could both enjoy snow and snowfall. Spacious rooms and bathroom with good view, room's are warm but if asked they'll provide portable heater. Service was nice. Food was also nice. Just the hotel location is a bit downhill other than that, all rounded was good. Cooperative staff. Would recommend and stay over again.
