I had the most amazing night away at Hempstead House. My husband surprised me for my birthday and I couldn't have had a better gift. Our room was unexpectedly upgraded and I was wished a Happy birthday and had birthday confetti on our table. The staff are so lovely and friendly, nothing too much trouble they all work so hard to please and they made my stay unforgettable. The swimming pool was so enjoyable as was my evening meal and breakfast. We had a few niggles which we pointed out at check out but they didn't ruin our stay. I can't wait to stay again!!

What can I say…. We got married at this lovely hotel at the weekend. From the day we went to enquire to the day we actually got married we were treated with respect, kindness, and care all with professionalism. The day itself was perfect. All our guests commented on how great the food was served by a group of young people who without exception were amazing. All the personnel in the hotel are to be commended. Special thanks go to Danny and Harrison who absolutely made our day. Thank you

This was our third visit to this wonderful hotel and spa.It never fails to hit the dmspot for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings Spotlessly clean rooms/comfy bed/Friendly staff from reception/kitchen/restaurant/ barstaff/housekeepers they all had a smile and a welcome greeting.The spa is so tranquil and peaceful and the towels and changing facilities excellent.We ate in the lakes restaurant in which the service and ambience is 10/10.The menu although small caters for all tastes( Meat/fish/vegan/vegetarian) and was nicely presented and very tasty(Thank you kitchen brigade)Again the breakfast options were good and service friendly and on point as in rhe previous evening.All in all i cant recommend this hotel enough.You may find cheaper in surrounding areas but i refuse to believe you will find better.Thanks again to everyone involved in msking our stay another one to remember.We will be back in the new year for sure 10/10

Very welcoming on our arrival. Coffee/tea provided. Clean towels,robes and slippers. All areas very clean. Only 3 lounging beds in the spa/pool area. Very noisy asthe room echos from people talking etc. Chlorine was quite pungent too. Chairs are also available around the pool. Lunch was just amazing. Quality and presentation. Just lovely. The massage was probably the best we had both had. The therapists were fantastic. It's a shame we weren't told about the relaxation beds in the treatment area. We would have used them as relaxing was very difficult around the pool because of the noise etc. We had a wonderful time and will return next year. Thank you to all the staff.

Made an overnight stay as a single person having pre-booked directly with the hotel. When booking, I set out several preferences for the type of room I wanted and my thanks to Linda and Martine on reception for sorting this all out for me quite perfectly. In addition, I was hosting a dinner party with several guests in the Brasserie that evening and they helped with all the arrangements for that. I stayed in a standard double room (room 8) which was comfortable and perfectly clean, with everything you’d expect from this class of hotel. The room was quiet and on the first floor overlooking gardens. Dinner with my friends that evening was a success with good food and service. Overall everything went very well. Finally, I have to mention that I rather stupidly left a shirt in the wardrobe in my room after leaving the hotel but, again, this time after speaking with Beth on reception at the hotel, she arranged for this to be posted back to me the same day. The staff at this hotel are really great.

This is the best hotel experience I've ever had the staff have all been wonderful and the room was beautiful and comfortable we have stayed here many before and we were recognised by many members of staff the grounds feel like a fairytale at night the only criticism is the gymnasium doesn't have much to offer in strength building so I'm a little set back on my routine but that's fine as it is a break and I hope the management read this as I'd like to mention Beth as such a sweet potato pie so friendly as we checked out and a massive help in booking our next trip what a star

Hempstead House hosted an event for us at short notice. The events team, the staff on the day and the atmosphere of the entire day was first class. I wholeheartedly agree with the reviews referencing the superbly trained and helpful staff. My family and I also stayed the night and the staff remained so engaged and so helpful. The breakfast was stupendous! I am delighted this little gem seems to be thriving. Thank you.

From the moment I walked in, the welcome I received was superb. Nothing could have been too much trouble. for the lovely lady on Reception. The welcome also in the bar / lounge area was also great and the breakfast the next day was delicious....well cooked and the waiting staff were so welcoming. Sadly I never experienced the spa, but next I will be that's for sure. A great stay and brilliant hospitality from everyone I came into contact with.
