We stayed here the night before a cruise out of Baltimore Harbor. The hotel is an old bank with plenty of character. We stayed here specifically for the park and ride option. The morning of our cruise a van picked us up and delivered us to the ship without an issue. The return from the cruise 8 days later was a different story. We called the number on the card given to us at the port. The company is 5th Avenue Transportation (AVOID!!!). We were told to go to the pickup area and it would be 30 minutes. After 45 minutes, we called again and were told that the driver left without us because we weren’t there. We were exactly where all pickups were waiting. We were told 20 minutes. After 25, we called again and were told that they were on the way… 20 minutes. At this point, I said to forget it, we’d call a ride share. The guy argued with me, saying that he had stopped and called out, “Holiday Inn!” This was a blatant lie. I told him never mind and we took a ride share to the hotel. Upon our return, we informed the unhelpful desk attendant what had happened and instead of apologizing, he got defensive and said that the driver went to pick us up. So, not a bad hotel and the park and ride option is ok, even if the lot is VERY tight. Just factor in the cost of a ride share back to the hotel after your trip- this will save time and aggravation.
