I stayed at Grand Sovereign Hotel Kuta Bali from Jul 11th to Jul 14th. The hotel was great, the service was excellent, etc, with only one miss: I forgot my laptop charger and left it in hotel meeting room. After I flew back home to Java, I finally realized that I forgot my charger and immediately look a way to contact the hotel. Well, the response was quick and one of the hotel staff, Ms. ANGEL/ANJEL kindly help and sent the charger back to me (I include the pics of the charger and the receipt of the delivery service). What a great post service! With this kind of service, I really recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Thank you Grand Sovereign, Matur Suksma Ms. ANGEL/ANJEL. ๐๐๐๐

The accommodation is in the form of a hostel, but it's no less quality than a hotel. I was a little hesitant at first because there weren't many reviews on several platforms, but I became more convinced after seeing the hostel's Instagram account, which is often updated. The service at this hostel exceeded my expectations. I ordered some items, and the hostel was happy to receive them and put them in my room. I was also welcomed despite arriving at around 11 pm. The atmosphere inside the hostel was very homey, with many guests relaxing in the lobby, so I didn't feel lonely. I liked that atmosphere even though we didn't interact directly. The area around the hostel is very lively, as it faces a big road. There is a convenience store next to the hostel, and there is a mosque opposite the hostel. If you want to find food, you might need to walk for a few minutes. The hostel facilities are very complete, there is a swimming pool, a lobby room on the 1st and 2nd floors, a dining room for breakfast where there is coffee and tea that can be made by yourself, and a parking lot for motorbikes. The hostel rents out motorbikes, but unfortunately, I only found out after I got there. My suggestion would be to publicize it as a plus. I booked a private room even though I was alone, everything I needed was available in the room, from the en suite bathroom, air conditioning, a clothes rack, and a hairdryer. I had previously booked a dormitory-type room, but I changed to a private room. Other places might be cheaper, but I already love this hostel, and my decision to stay there paid off with everything I got. I hope I can come back to Bali and stay at this hostel someday.

Nice stay. The room (junior suite) is spacious, the breakfast was fantastic. They served good and varieties food and hot fresh milk. Only some cold bacon already rotten and they were apologise for it. Bathroom was quite slippery so be careful for the elderly. There is also an alley shortcut to the mall which is a convenience. The pool is amazing. Nice stay. Recommended.

our stay at Mega Boutique, room 502, was actually more than fine. the room we stayed in was clean and the staff was quite responsive. however, after we checked out on January 8 in the morning, we realized at night, that our 2 packages of frozen food were left in the fridge in room 502. I called the hotel immediately ... it was picked up by the employee who asked me to give time to check housekeeping . 5 minutes later we called back only to get an answer that they didn't find our frozen food in the fridge. we knew to have put it exactly in the fridge. however, miraculously, abracadabra... hocus pocus... the food disappeared without a trace. it's a shame, our stay experience was quite good, but leaving an unpleasant impression on the lost & found hotel service. hope the hotel management pays a close attention in their housekeeping team integrity.

Perfect! The staff was very friendly, probably the best Iโve met and they greeted us with a welcome drink. Our room was clean and the things folded every day without us asking. The pool was very clean and usually not busy. Car doors were open each time for us going out and coming in. The food was delicious and the restaurant staff was friendly and made sure we got everything we requested each day. I got sick on my last day and they were so concerned and wanted to take me to the hospital or call a doctor for me. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is perfect for stay. The location is very strategic, lots of restaurants and stores around the hotel. Very close to the beach, you can just walk there for 10 mins and youโre there. The room ia very spacious and clean. The service is awesome! The staff are very friendly and very helpful. And the price ia actually pretty cheap for what you get. Totally worth it. The only downside is thereโs no outlet for charging your phone or laptop next to your bed. But there are some around the TV in front of the bed. Breakfast is delicious, many options. The amenities are good, all there, but no slippers. I had a great experience here ๐๐ผ

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is convenient, being close to Ikea. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the WiFi worked well throughout my stay. The room was clean and comfortable; however, the bathroom cleanliness can be improved and the bathroom door wasn't very private, as shadows were visible from outside, which was a bit unsettling. Overall, it's a nice hotel and definitely will be my choice for my future visit.

Excellent hotel, good price. Clean, well fitted, good sized rooms, good service from staff. Would stay again. We extended our stay by one night when there and staff were helpful in assisting this process. The bathroom sink drain initially seemed to be stuck so water did not drain; we advised reception staff of this issue and it was fixed within 1 hr.

YYang Xun, GailLocation is a little far out but that contributes to the idyllic charm of the hotel. Everything was fantastic and all the staff extremely polite and friendly.
We were especially impressed that the restaurant staff assiduously recorded our dietary needs to make sure we were covered for the entire stay. Major props to the restaurant for the range of interesting vegetarian options available and the great cocktails!
Room cleaning twice a day is also amazing at a time when many hotels are cutting back to once every 2-3 days. The Black Sands spa lives up to its reviews and the massage and bath were incredibly relaxing.
We truly enjoyed our little slice of paradise and it was a perfect weekend getaway!

Initially booked for a pool access room, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to the Ocean View Pool Suite. The room, impeccably clean and beautifully adorned, featured a private pool with captivating views of both the pool area and the beach.
The staff's friendliness and helpfulness, coupled with twice-daily housekeeping checks, ensured our needs were consistently met. Our time here was thoroughly enjoyable, and a return visit is certainly on the horizon

Their kindness makes you feel welcomed and their readiness to serve you at every moment truly makes it feel like youโre on holiday. The rooms and facilities are clean, beautiful pool and water fountain. Great spa to get a massage at and breakfast was good. Shuttle service that runs to and from Ubud Centre (only selected times, so make sure you know the schedule).
Although I gave them a 5/5, the are still things I think that they can improve on.
1. Housekeeping is quite slow, I stayed at the pool one day and had lunch at the restaurant, after 3 hours I returned to my room and it still wasnโt touched by housekeeping. I also waited longer on the day of my check-in to get to my room. Although I arrived early and was patient and understanding to wait until my room was ready at 14:00 I still ended up waiting another 30mins to get to my room. This was a little annoying as they already knew I was waiting a long time and feel like they couldโve somehow speeded up the service. I understand they have their cleaning standards, especially for a new check-in. Maybe they need to employ more housekeepers to fulfil the hotelโs requirements.
2. On the day of my arrival the pool wasnโt open due to bad weather days prior to my check-in, which I totally understand and grateful they tend to the pool so well. I was however offered 20% discount on the Spa, outdoor activities etc. through a paper that was placed on my bed after I got into my room. However this coupon wasnโt explained to me and when I tried to use it two days later for a massage I was told it was only valid for the day the pool was out of service.
3. Breakfast - I understand itโs a smaller hotel and I appreciate any hotel that tries to contribute to the environment by limiting food waste by only serving certain about of dishes, however a better variety would have been appreciated, especially for guests that stays for a couple of nights. With that the buffet breakfast only came with a Balinese Coffee or Tea. This was not explained before booking the room and this information wasnโt given by Trip.com. It does however say the buffet breakfast comes with coffee or tea. But like many many other hotels Iโve stayed at and mentioned that the buffet breakfast comes with coffee or tea it usually means that there is a variety of coffee or teas available. And wanting a cappuccino or iced latte for breakfast would cost you extra.
4. The restaurant, drink usually came not as cold as one would expect it to be. I ordered an ice tea and it was more of a lukewarm tea. The beer they served was also not very cold and quite disappointing especially when itโs so hot and all you want is something ice cold.
5. The hotel entrance is a bit difficult to find, management can think of a better way to showcase the entrance/name of the hotel.
Overall I enjoyed the stay, it close enough to walk to Ubud Centre (about 15min walk) If youโre up to it. Itโs beautiful, clean and a little peace of paradise.
Some services however need more attention to details.

GGuest UserVery disappointed stay! Stayed in October 2022 loved it loved everything. This stay we were not told about the breakfast not being buffet style well at least being dramatically downsized and put out the front at Papas Beach Cafe. The selections were bland and mostly asian style nothing like it was in October and that was why we rebooked! The pool deck is a accident waiting to happen very very dangerous. My daughter room key was re programmed at least 20 time is 6 days very very frustrating with 3 little boys in tow to have to go from 1 end of the property to the other to report it. On the good side the staff are amazing so friendly welcoming and 10/10 to the chef at Papa's cafe for inviting the 3 boys into the kitchen to make and prepare and serve the best Pizza's I have ever eaten. The Alam KulKul is in a great position and the staff are worth staying for but quite a bit needs to be done to make it great

GGuest UserAmazing hotel 1 the best in Kuta when it comes to the location, standards and keeping the resort clean and in perfect condition. Rare in Bali! the rooms are extremely comfortable, with full amenities and extremely well maintained. Beautiful Balinese style with high end products, similar standards with any international Hotels. Amazing pool size middle of a beautiful landscape, just hard to believe you are at the heart of Kuta. Breakfast is one of the best around Kuta too. So much choice to accommodate large nationalities, from Balinese, Indian, asia, continental, international etcโฆ The staff is just amazing, extremely friendly and efficient. Nothing is perfect in life and things can happened! just address it to the front office and in the next 5 minutes someone will fix your issues, including technical issues you could have in your room. Ayu at the front office is a gem! what an asset to the Ramayana. She is so efficient and professional. Same with Endra at the Gabbah restaurant - what an amazing waiter! kindness and so professional with perfect English skillsโฆ. just another amazing asset to the Ramayana. The Resort manager is new and what a difference since he joined the Ramayana - he is everywhere, extremely friendly and really manage the property extremely well. My only negative comment will be the pool water temperature - too cold , the water should be heated same as any 5 starts hotel . Many guests were saying the same thingsโฆ. pool water temperature should be warmer. Nevertheless it is my favorite hotel in Kuta 15 minutes away from the Airport in front of Kuta Beachโฆ.

GGuest UserWe have just completed a magical 10 days at Wyndham Jivva Beach. We are long term Wyndham members (owners) and have stayed at many of their hotels and resorts. Jivva Beach rates at the top of the list for us. It's just far North East of Denpasar to be out of the rat race but still within easy reach of Sanur and other tourist attractions. Apart from its idyllic setting, the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. A special mention to the head chef Gusti who has a wealth of experience at 5 star international hotels. His leadership ensured a high level of cuisine at every meal. And Wijaya, the food and beverage manager led a team of wait staff which would be hard to beat anywhere. There are no shops close by, but we booked half day tours using local drivers at very reasonable prices (IDR 600,000 for 5 hours), so we were able to visit many local attractions. We also took the ferry to the island of Penida across the Badung Strait ~ well worth the time to do this. We were surprised that the beach (which is very close), is made of black sand ~ not a problem for us, but maybe for some. In essence, we love Wyndham Jivva and intend to visit again in 2024.

KKelly ShaunLoved the interior of the room, very Balinese style room with a bath tub, the room size is good and very affordable.. hotel location other wise is really out of no where, not close to any restaurants or convenient store. Luckily we can order grab.. but still not much activity available in the hotel except for massage and spa, pool bar is not open, no one actually goes to the pool. It's near to nature so quite a bit of insects.. Staff and friendly and helpful.. There is only 1 restaurant and price wise is not cheap and food is not nice as well.. we were given bread and butter before our meal but even our butter is tasteless,unsalted.. the curry is very watery.. I guess after trying so many nice food around Asia, our taste buds can be quite picky so for the price paid, the food does not satisfy our desire for good food.

Ppaulap007Ohana is a great place to stay if youโre coming to Canggu- itโs just a stoneโs throw away from all of the shops and restaurants, but in Pererenan you feel like a world away, surrounded by rice fields and calm. The building is super new, and built with a lot of attention to detail- the bed is like sleeping on feathers, and the showerโs one of the best Iโve seen in Bali. Everything is white with cute plant murals, and the pool area is stunning. The owners are incredibly friendly and have lots of helpful tips of where to eat and what to do. Looking forward to coming back!

GGuest UserWe stayed in this guesthouse for a week. We were looking for a quiet place to sleep, far from the chaos of Ubud, the bet is held. It's really isolated, in the middle of the rice fields. The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. They are always there for you and if you have a question or request, they will go out of their way to answer it right away. The room is large and very clean. We asked for an upstairs room and got it. The bed is firm but comfortable. The rooms all have a terrace where you can eat, have breakfast or simply relax. The included breakfast is very simple (choice between omelet and pancakes, fruit juice, and fruit), but sufficient. You can pay extra for extras. There is no restaurant or bar in this guest house, so you will either have to go to the hotel not far away or order your food on Grab/Gojek. We opted for this second option, and it went very well, a huge choice, delivery in less than an hour if you order from a restaurant in Ubud. The staff can also take an order and your money and go 2/3 shopping for you for drinks displayed on the minibar. Every day they gave us a bottle of water each for free. The pool is nice and clean. The air conditioning is very efficient, sometimes even too much! It has to be settled. Sometimes we just ended up cutting it off. You won't be hot. Now, the negative points, because a good opinion must also mention the points to improve: Daylight which passes very easily, the curtains are not very glued to the window so from 5 am we began to have light. It's true that we Europeans are used to sleeping in the dark. In the room there was also a pipe noise, quite sharp, when people were using the water, whether it was us or neighbours. I don't know what it is, maybe a pump, pipes... I don't know if the problem is common to all rooms. Since I'm sensitive enough to noise to sleep, I opted for earplugs, problem solved. Count 3 to 5 euros one way to get around town by ordering a ride on Grab/Gojek. We had the reservation at a very good price because booked early and before the lifting of health restrictions, so we will say that we are very satisfied with our choice. I hope they will improve the two points mentioned above because those were the two things that bothered me.
