Hotels Near Rest Area Kusambi in Bali

My family stayed at the Baliku Dive Resort for a few days as a stopover on our way to visit family in Australia. It's a bit of a drive away from the airport, but worth the extra driving. Amed is a stunning place and the Baliku was a fantastic place to stay and explore. The restaurant was great (my son became obsessed with the beef rendang, and my daughter is still jonesing for the mango lassis) - there are also some great warungs nearby for lovely local food. The location is brilliant - seconds away from the Japanese shipwreck which offers some of the best snorkeling in Bali, and with stunning views over Lombok, which was particularly great, as I was up at dawn with jetlag, and watching the sunrise was something I'll never forget. The rooms were large and comfortable, the infinity pool looking over the sea is gorgeous too, and the staff were delightful. A massive recommendation for a very affordable and still luxurious and gorgeous place. A great place to stay for a scuba diving tester (which we did), snorkelling on the coral, or for more established divers. Definitely recommend breaking up the journey back to the airport (Tirta Ganga is a great stop-off on the way) and making sure you allow plenty of time for the airport run to allow for the traffic.

This was our 2nd stay at Palm Garden. My husband and I came for the first time 5 yrs previously for our honeymoon. This is our favorite place in Bali. It’s simply perfection. It is in a much more rural part of Bali, not at many tourists, right on a beautiful, black sand beach. There is an amazing reef right in front of the hotel, perfect for snorkeling. We brought our own gear, but you can also get it from the hotel. Sunrise is absolutely spectacular. Very quiet and calm. There is a profound sense of peace. I’ve experienced some of the most peaceful moments of my life on that beach. This area of Bali is more real-feel Bali. The markets open before sunrise. People are out and about buying food for the day’s cooking. Next to the resort is a small farm, and you can hear the chickens at times. There are boats parked on the sand in front of the resort, which the fisherman use regularly. If you wake up early enough, you can see the fisherman taking the boats out for the day. Despite people living next to the resort and the boats on the beach, it is very quiet. We were never woken up by anyone or disturbed. The resort itself is really beautiful. Very small, I think 10 or so bungalows. We stayed in the same room both times, on the end with the private pool. It is very spacious. Nice air conditioner. Very clean. There is a good size safe in the closet. The bathroom is open air, but covered, which is pretty cool. Everything is always very clean. The pool at the resort is really nice. Most times, we were the only ones using the pool. It overlooks the ocean and has a beautiful dolphin fountain. The pool and grounds are meticulously maintained. Someone is always cleaning and working on the landscape. The staff is always busy about the resort, cleaning and making sure you are attended to. The restaurant on site is excellent. We ate there every breakfast. I would always have the pineapple pancakes (craving them all the time!). You get a very generous breakfast. We always had fresh fruit and juice. Everything was always cooked perfectly. We ate most lunch and dinner here as well. They have a few American options. But for us, we really enjoyed the Balinese cuisine. My husband loved the nasi goreng, and I had mie goreng every day! Both dishes were delicious. Always prepared fresh and to our liking. The staff takes pride in their culinary skills, and it shows. We had a massage here, and it was excellent. It was so relaxing and a very good price. I wish we had done the massage another time because it was so fantastic. There are many things to do in the area. Great diving/snorkeling places nearby. There are many warungs (restaurants) around as well. We walked around and saw the sites. There are great views of the ocean and scenery. I also recommend going to Tirta Gangga for an afternoon and Lahangan Sweet for sunrise. The hotel can arrange a driver for you. Mainly take a 4*4 small truck to go up the mountain. After 15 minutes of bumps, you will enter the fairyland, where the mountains and the sea meet. This is an all-villa hotel, each with a sea view, located between the mountains and the sea. This place is suitable for couples who stay at home. The food is delicious and the scenery is beautiful. This is the legendary wild luxury

Came here to access the snorkelling on Lipah beach. We tried other spots in Amed but this was the best during our time for visit. Crystal clear water and you step off the black sand into the water and it is just full of life. Huge patches of coral all sorts of fish. Calm water not too deep. Nice to see a diver installing frames on the sea bed with coral stems to grow more reef. Note that for sunbeds on the beach you have to get from the beach chaps, we paid 100k for 2 beds all day. Can also rent snorkelling gear from them but we had our own. We eat in the Vienna restaurant every day for lunch. Brilliant service, amazing view, nice breeze. All food we tried was good. There is a pool next to the restaurant and the staff let us dip in there even though we were not residents. In my opinion best snorkel spot right off the beach in Amed, especially with a 9 and 6 year old kid neither of whom had properly snorkelled before but after one day they love it. Go early for snorkelling, lunch at vienna, then more snorkelling. Also the beach is soft volcanic sand a lot of others are pebbles and rocky… love vienna and this beach!

Santai Hotel is located in the southern end of Amed. We stayed in an Ocean View Bungalow 2. It was slightly set back from the freeform pool with plenty of sun beds to relax. The air-conditioned bungalows are lovely. High set with a mezzanine which is where our daughter slept in a canopied double bed. Our bed was also with a canopy. The bathroom and shower is located outdoors giving it a very tropical feel. Each morning the staff would deliver a flask of boiling water for tea and coffee to the front balcony and I sat watching the fishermen push their boats out as the sun rose behind them. Incredibly peaceful. We had early starts being picked up by Adventure Divers each morning at 7:50am. Breakfast is not usually until 7:30am but we were accommodated by ordering the night before. This way we had time to enjoy a delicious Lumberjack hot meal with fruit and coffee. There is a nice Chinese restaurant across the road and ice cream next door. Plenty of warungs and resturants nearby or a short taxi to Jemeluk beach which has more resturants and bars. If you want a view there are some cheap resturants at Sunset Point area. The staff were incredible Komang at reception was very resourceful in arranging our every request. I don't have all the names but the staff were all super friendly and always keen to have a chat. This place has fantastic snorkeling right off the beach. It's easy without strong currents. We had our own equipment but they also hire it. Our daughter and I had an Emerald treatment. It was included in our package staying for 6 nights. I'm not sure exactly what it was meant to do placing 10 emerald stones on face, chest and belly button. We did both manage to have a snooze listening to the waves lapping up beside the outdoor spa bed . Would definitely recommend this property. Quiet, relaxing and lovely staff.

Это было разочарование всего отпуска. Выбрали по отзывам и расположению. То что парковки там нет мы были готовы, но к тому что будем искать вход около пяти минут нет. Ни вывески, никаких опознавательных знаком. Вход оказался через неработающий бар или кафе в лобби на цокольном этаже. Удивление вызвал номер в который нас заселили. Фактически расположен на третьем этаже деревянного дома с очень крутой неудобной лестницей, туалет и душ на первом. Весь этот покачивающийся домик из дерева это отдельная вилла. Помещение где находилась кровать очень маленькое, с щелями в стенах, под раскаленной крышей. Соответственно кондиционер совершенно не справлялся со своими функциями, а вход и выход их номера представлял собой квест. Мы приняли решение отменить бронирование, а стоимость кстати немаленькая, нам сказали что отменить невозможно, но могут предоставить другой номер, выше уровнем, больше и вроде как там будет прохладнее. Нас переселили в что-то подобное, рассчитанное на 4 человек, там на втором и третьем этажах были кондиционеры и вдовеем они плохо но справлялись. Если кто-то из нас находился на другом этаже или лестнице, покачивался весь домик. С вечера стало понятно что слышимость такая что слышно каждый шорох, спальня как раз на уровне центральной дороги Амеда и впечатление как будто спишь прям на ней. Но самое интересное началось часов с 7 утра, когда на дорогах более менее все успокоилось. С другой стороны дороги идет стройка))) Экскаватор раскидывает огромные валуны и тп, и это все через пару метров от нас. В общем эту ночь я не спала вообще. Мы ждали с нетерпением отъезда из этого отеля. Завтрак был хороший, отношение сотрудников отеля тоже. Возможно в других виллах таких проблем нет. Бассейн маленький, не очень удачно расположен

Firstly, the good: the room was spacious with an amazing sea view from the window and views of the village, jungle covered hills and Mount Agung from the wrap-around balcony. The sea is mere steps away and has gorgeous snorkeling just a few meters from the shore. Staff were attentive and helpful. Great cafes and warungs immediately around the hotel. We were pretty much in heaven. However - and this can easily be fixed - the shower drain in the bathroom lacks a gas trap, meaning sewage smells emanate from the drain the whole time. This meant we had to keep the bathroom, which is also poorly ventilated, closed at all times. The one time we went out forgetting to close the bathroom door, the whole room stank hideously. The staff were helpful, providing air freshener and incense to cover the smell, but a visit from a good plumber would fix this entirely. Aside from this glaring issue, I would highly recommend.

🌴 An Honest Take on Mejore Beach Hotel Amed 🌴 My partner and I, both in our fifties, recently spent some time at the Mejore Beach Hotel Amed. While the hotel's photos showcased its beauty, our experience had a few surprises in store. The beach lounger area was a bit smaller and busier than we anticipated, making it a bit challenging to find a comfortable spot. The vibrant atmosphere was enhanced by the presence of millennial guests enjoying their time in G-string swimwear or budgie smugglers but it did feel a bit crowded for those seeking a quieter retreat. We were looking forward to room service as advertised; however, we learned that food could only be enjoyed in the restaurant. This was a departure from what we had in mind for cozy in-room dining. Regrettably, the in-room safe was out of order, which left us without a secure place to store our valuables. Dining at the hotel's restaurant provided a mixed experience. While the food was average overall, the addition of melon fruit served alongside omelettes was a fail The shower only had 2 settings Fire Hose, and a trickly rain sprinkler, both underwhelming One thing to consider if you're planning a stay on a Saturday night is the neighbouring establishment's music. The music's volume was loud in fact felt like it was on the lawn, and might not be suitable for those seeking a peaceful evening. All in all, our time at Mejore Beach Hotel Amed had its ups and downs. It's important to weigh the lively atmosphere and the inconvenience of the advertised room service against the potential drawbacks for a more tranquil getaway. We come to Amed every 2 weeks and try different places, we will not be trying here again.

A fantastic dive resort in Amed - highly recommended. I had a perfect 5 day stay at Kura Kura. The accommodation is perfect - big spacious rooms with hot showers, comfortable beds, blackout curtains for a good rest after the dive, a fridge, kettle and clean water. The on site restaurant is excellent and all transport organised through the resort was seamless. The pool at the resort is wonderful, clean and perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Amed beach is a hop skip and a jump away, as is the local convenience store and many good quality beach side and road side restaurants. For diving, the instructors are top notch, (I had Yuki and Ines), friendly, patient, calm and knowledgeable - I felt comfortable at all stages as I completed my open water and advanced open water. Equipment is well maintained and transport to and from dive sites is included.

A very, very lovely place to stay. The place is big and it is as one with the nature. I think the photos do not do the hotel's justice. Place is spacious and just very relaxing. I got a room quite close to the beach-- literally less than 30 seconds and I could stand on the sand. It's truly wonderful. The restaurant is great, I was so happy with the food I didn't even bother too much to go find anther place to eat during my 4 days stay. Staffs are welcoming and helpful. They helped me to arrange a ride to the airport. It's hard to imagine what they can do even better. The only thing is that in my last day, the wifi didnt work very well. And I was told because they use solar power or something, if i had a shower too later, there might be no hot water. But that didnt bother me too much. And they have a very cute, playful cat : )
