Each room is a great little house among local vegetation and flowers, a huge terrace overlooking a private pond with water lilies and fish, the downside is that breakfast is just scrambled eggs and toast with coffee, otherwise everything is great, the staff is friendly and adequate, the room is cleaned every day, everything is clean and tidy

I stayed here on my way to Gili Trawangan.
There were always bugs in the sink and geckos in the room, but the hot water was good and there was a convenience store next door so it wasn't an inconvenience.

I have stayed here 8 years ago and that was the most amazing place I have stayed in my life. This time things changed, but it’s still a beautiful place. Very tranquil location, the garden is well maintained and looked after. Feels like you are in the middle of the jungle, so expect all kinds of animals all around.. the beds are very comfy and the rooms are clean. Some refurbishment would do wonders though..
It doesn’t seem like they did any work on the rooms in the last 8 years but the restaurant got renovated. So the price of the food got more expensive. We didn’t eat anything here this time as you can find cheaper and really tasty food around the town ( highly recommended Warung Budi Ayu- not just because of the food but the hospitality and kind talks ).
Water garden is amazing if you want to experience something special.

Loved our return trip here, a three-night stay in Cottage 3, similar to 2023. Welcomed by Putu and soon enjoying the amenities of the cottage and the surrounding water features and vegetation. Great bed, comfortable and affording restful sleeps. All necessary amenities supplied. Great base to tour surrounding areas and get off the beaten track with local knowledge and driver. In hindsight, we should have prebooked a five-night stay.

We had a most wonderful time here, in a villa with its own fish pond and generous veranda. The staff were wonderful and gave the kids food to feed the fish. The hotel is v clean and while the building are somewhat aged, the gardens have matured with flowers everywhere, including by the pool side.. the beach is just across the road, and we took advantage of the restaurants at the sea side, while coming back to our sanctuary. We had planned to stay for one night, yet had four, as we loved it so much. Would recommend

Bit of a mix-up with airport transport on arrival so only 4 stars for that. They’ve changed their contact procedure as a direct result so well done for that.
Other than that it’s a peaceful, spotless relaxing oasis, beautiful gardens, lovely staff and the lovely Putu arranged a boat for snorkelling one day and took me on a hike in the countryside to the traditional village and a honey & coffee farm on another day. Candi Dasa was quiet but I visited in low season, plenty of choice for restaurants.

Beautiful serene accomodation, spectacular gardens, lily pad ponds with Koi fish and an awesome swimming pool with waterfall and flowering gardens. Sitting on a verandah overlooking all this is extremely peaceful. Good restaurant with modest prices, great staff, led by Sudi, a smiler, who obviously loves her job. Will recommend The Watergarden to all my Bali bound friends. Thank you.

Lovely little resort the bungalows were comfortable and the outdoor deck overlooking the lily pond was beautiful. Putu the manager organised trips for us and made suggestions of what to do, she was more than helpful and made our stay very easy. Breakfast was fabulous we had it served on our deck most mornings, we ate in the restaurant one night which was also good. I loved the pool area there wasn’t much shade but that’s the only negative.

Great spot for a meal and some drinks with friends. The decor is lovely with, as the name suggests, a beautiful little watergarden inside. The food was great, my steak perfectly cooked. This restaurant is also open for breakfast and lunch and has a good array of European and Indonesian fare.
