Everything was fine, the service staff was good in every way, but there is one issue. If you stay at this place, just understand that you can only stay in the hotel and can't go anywhere outside, like for sightseeing or renting a bike. The second thing is when you check out, a tax list will appear with charges for taxi tax, room service tax (even though you already pay a 20% tax when you order food, etc.), but they charge you again. No matter what you take, you'll see taxes everywhere. My bill was 4 million IDR, and you can assume that 1 million IDR was just taxes
. Well, overall, the location is great, the hotel is nice and amazing, and the staff is good. I am giving this review about the taxes so that the owner can make some changes and others don't have to face the same issue.

This place is a hidden gem. It is brand new on the east side of Penida island which is pretty remote. Takes a while to get here but once you are here it is golden. Best waitress ever is Jesika, a real sweetheart. In many places this facility would be 1K plus US per night. For the price it is awesome and close to some great hiking and hidden beaches. I rented a motorbike and rode all around the island which was absolutely fascinating, but really great to get back to the resort which has every comfort and great staff. I came for two nights and stayed for three. Do yourself a favor and, as Liz Lemon would say, "go to there".

30 minutes from Sampalan Port and you feel like you’re in another world. Close to atuh and diamond beach. Only 45 to the more touristy side of the island if that is your vibe. Pool is beautiful and the room is dreamy! Good food at the restaurant and bar. The team is what made it special, especially Made Werdi! He was kind, remembered our names and our orders and is an interesting man. In his free time, he learned to scuba and is working for a non profit to replant the reefs! The only thing we would change is that we booked a few more nights here.

La chambre et la salle de bain sont très grandes et très bien équipées. Lit de 2,4m!!
Très bon débit internet partout dans l’hôtel
Et la vue depuis la chambre…..!!!
Le petit déjeuner est excellent et copieux (à la carte et à volonté)
Prévoir un scooter ou taxi
Le personnel et la direction sont toujours aux petits soins
Piscine magnifique et transats suffisants
Obligation de revenir…

A very special place on the quiet side of Penida, literally a sanctuary. Staff go above and beyond to make your stay the best it possibly can be. We loved the swim up bar, having breakfast on our villa balcony listening to the waves and watching the sunrise, having relaxing baths with a view & the delicious dinners in the restaurant. We were so sad to leave & only hope we get the chance to visit again some day :)

I have been to Penida numerous times over the years and this is definitely the most 5 star place I have stayed in on the island. Wonderful rooms & bathrooms, great beach club, private beach, great food and wonderful staff! Located on the east side of the island where it’s a bit more quiet, but if you’re looking to unwind and relax.. this is the spot!

My favourite hotel on the island by far, the rooms took my breath away! Beautiful ocean views from bed, delicious varied menu and a private beach! Cannot fault this place and cannot wait to return. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming, and the masseuse was incredible. Also have to point out how comfy and huge the beds are, literally like sleeping on a cloud Would highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling to Penida❤️
