"My child had always dreamed of staying in an RV, and we finally made it happen during our Qinghai-Gansu grand loop tour.
The RV was really unique, with smart facilities and amenities. It was a classic case of ”small but perfectly formed,” even managing to fit two beds! There was also an induction cooker, pots, and bowls, so we could even cook our own instant noodles. It was incredibly quiet at night. We watched the sunset in the evening and saw the starry sky and the Milky Way at night – my child was absolutely thrilled. She said this was the best ”hotel” I'd ever booked.
The park offers various room types to suit different traveler needs. The entire park features Yardang landforms and three salt lakes. The breakfast was also good, and we even received two complimentary Nova coffees.
The service was excellent too; they thoughtfully showed us to our RV, provided a detailed introduction, and even gave us a small gift.

"On June 28, 2026, at 7:00 AM, after a high-speed train and a slower 'green-skin' train journey, we finally arrived at the Golmud Huanghe International Hotel. The friendly front desk lady warmly welcomed us and quickly processed our check-in. She even thoughtfully gave us two breakfast vouchers and advised us to rest well at the hotel after eating to acclimatize to the high altitude, rather than engaging in strenuous activities right away.
The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining and shopping. It also has its own parking lot, which is very friendly for self-driving tourists. The guest rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic, and the housekeeping staff diligently cleaned them every day. The hotel breakfast was abundant, offering both Chinese and Western options, as well as ******* tsampa and milk tea. The freshly prepared beef noodles were particularly good. They delivered complimentary fruit and snacks every day. On two occasions when we left early for a day tour, they even prepared packed lunches for us.
The lobby manager, Xiaofang, was incredibly kind. She gave us a discount when we extended our stay and even added us on WeChat, checking in daily to see how we (being seniors in our sixties) were adapting to the high altitude. The Golmud Huanghe International Hotel truly felt like a warm and considerate temporary home for us in the highlands. We are very grateful for the efforts of every staff member at the hotel. Our trip to the Northwest highlands was delightful, and none of our initial worries materialized; we completed our high-altitude itinerary smoothly. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit Golmud. Five-star rating!"

First of all, the most amazing thing is the overall environment of the hotel and the unique sailing tent design. From a distance, the white sailing tents are scattered, and the shape is chic and full of romance. Like the white sailing boat parked in nature, the face value is directly full. The twin room we stayed in was much more spacious than expected. There was no cramped feeling of traditional tents at all. The layout was reasonable and warm. The simple design style blended natural elements. It was stylish and comfortable. It was suitable for both friends and parent-child travel.
The facilities inside the room are very complete, and the waiter also prepared earplugs and mosquito repellent for us. The details are full of care. The bedding of the twin bed is soft and tidy, and the zero-pressure mattress is used. The hardness is moderate, and the fatigue when lying on it will dissipate instantly. The quality of sleep at night is particularly good. The room is equipped with smart air conditioning, convenient temperature adjustment, no matter the weather can maintain a comfortable room temperature. The separate bathroom is designed to separate dry and wet, clean and tidy without odor, the bathroom facilities are complete, the hot water supply is stable and the water output is large, and the washing experience is very comfortable. In addition, the room is also equipped with basic daily necessities, neatly arranged, easy to use, really exquisite and practical.
The most surprising thing is the view of the room. Open the tent door and the beautiful beach and lake water to drink tea in the sunset, watching the sun slowly fall, the stars and moon are really wonderful.
The service is also impeccable, the staff is warm and intimate throughout the photo did not say back, by the way, turn around. Check-in is efficient and fast, and the staff will patiently explain the use of room facilities and surrounding play suggestions. At night, the sky is full of stars, and hearing the wind in the Gobi desert perfectly matches the name ”Lonely Interstellar.” I also want to give a special shout-out to the breakfast – it was so delicious! So delicious! So delicious! You can even make your own salad, which is great for women. Plus, there were many other varieties. When I asked my child what her most unforgettable experience was, she said it was stargazing at the camp at night. Thumbs up!

LokutaFacilities: Excellent! The room was fully equipped, with air conditioning and a humidifier.
Cleanliness: Good, clean and hygienic.
Environment: Very close to the pedestrian street (5-minute walk), great location!
Service: The front desk staff and other staff were very friendly!
Airport shuttle service: Punctual and convenient, excellent!
The lamb skewers downstairs were also delicious and reasonably priced.
A small suggestion: the oxygen device in the room makes a ”popping” sound when it starts and stops at night, which slightly affects sleep. It would be helpful to turn it down a bit to prevent it from stopping.
Overall, an excellent experience, definitely worth checking out! 👍

MeiguilieshouAfter visiting Chaka Salt Lake, we stayed here. I only learned upon arriving that Golmud is the second largest city in Qinghai. The hotel's location is excellent, not far from the famous Salt Lake Co., Ltd. building. When taking a taxi in Golmud and mentioning Salt Lake Co., Ltd. to the driver, you could feel their immense pride. This hotel recently opened, so the facilities are very new, and the breakfast is also good. There are many dining options nearby, and the service is attentive, maintaining the consistent quality Mercure hotels are known for.
