Very nice hotel. Staff at the reception was very professional, specially Zaur who did a great job.
The downside of the hotel :
- very difficult to get understood at the breakfast, and missing very basic things like vegetal milks which is very surprising for a 5 stars hotel
- at the pool we ask for umbrella and they didn’t have.

Amazing stay , excellent service from the reception above above excellence ! ,The location is perfect everything is a walk a way ! Perfect hotel .. the only issue is the housekeeping they dont clean they only arrange .. I faced issue with the toilet and noticed that its wasnt cleaned at all! Even the room tissue box was empty they didnt fill it they didnt notice because they dont clean even when I requested tissue box it was kept a side not in the tissue box container .. However, receptionist are always eager to help and assist they even offer the cleaning service mid night just to help ! A perfect hotel they only need to work on elevating the housekeepers
Note: rooms at a lower level and on a particular road are very noisy because of the cars you cant sleep , so request moving to a higher floor or another side of the hotel

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Baku was very comfortable. The Staff was warm and helpful. The Location is excellent. The Breakfast was sumptuous and the timings relaxed. One member of the Staff at breakfast took it on himself to remind us to come early, everyday. On a lighter note ! No complaints, we were always served well. The Rooms are large and well appointed, it was important for us as it was an 8 days stay. I would strongly recommend this Hotel for Stay in Baku.

Disappointed in all honesty.
The room itself was as expected, nice design and very spacious.
Housecleaning was below par as there was still rubbish on the floor after I had returned in the evening, 2 nights in a row.
Had to wait a few minutes for the shower to get warm. No toothbrushes in the bathroom.
Miscommunication between staff about payment which resulted in a very unnecessary late night phone call from the front desk. Further miscommunication about parcel delivery. One day it was brought straight to the room, the next day it was against hotel policy.
Asked for help with luggage for check out, never came.
Very far from the ritz experience.

We arrived on the 22 and was welcomed by ismail and checked in by shams from reception both were super nice and instantly gave us one of the best first impression any one can ask for. Our first day we had shawarma from black city and it was the best shawarma we ever had and made us go back again for the taste of it several times. Definitely recommend every one to try. We had the best service by our special favorite orkhan who was super friendly and the team made sure we get the best service. We had to just look once and literally the staff comes running to help. 10/10 for the attentiveness and details of the black city staff. We tried green house but the food is same as white city. Would have been amazing if they had a different cuisine than white city. We had the best shisha made by Hussain who was very kind but didn’t get the same smile and sweetness from the other staff in green house. Service was not bad but as we had an amazing experience from black city where all the staff are super attentive was a little down fall. We had dinner in white city and couldn’t order anything else after we tried the honey baby chicken which was absolutely delicious. We also had lunch twice in white city but the service was super slow due to lack of staff but David while we noticed it was definitely a time of rush he had done amazing while doing the service with a very energetic smile and a very positive vibe. The hotel has a beautiful steam room, sauna and a pool. I met gulshan from spa while I went for sauna who always was super attentive kind with a gorgeous smile. It is beautiful to go for a walk out side the hotel as it’s near a park with ocean views. We had met amazing locals as well as everyone we met were super kind. The hotel has beautiful garden and greenery around the property. We usually take pictures in every country we go but we fell in love with the gardens and the colours around we took pictures just out side the hotel. Lots of mini butterflies and just super pretty and beautiful colorfulness around the hotel. The rooms are spacious and if you love mirrors this would be a perfect place as the hallway to room are filled with huge mirrors. The only problem we faced was that the hotel didn’t have a eu plug and we had to take a walk to get them on the first day but other than that didn’t have any issues. Lastly was checked out by Orkhan from reception who was funny and sweet asked us about our stay and had a good last impression as well. All together a great team at marriot and definitely would recommend to stay as the hotel is beautiful with amazing facilities and to top of has amazing staff with delicious food. Personally this was the best vacation 💕

I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. Shown in photos. Also the bathr

Outstanding
GGuest UserI chose this hotel because of the location, as it was close to the embassy where I needed to go, and it served my purpose. The streets around are very quiet, so no traffic noise. The room was fine for the price, spacious, good bed, clean, windows can be opened to let in air. The only problem, as others mentioned in the reviews, is that shower cabin leaks onto the floor, so the floor in the bathroom gets very wet and slippery. I did not try wi-fi or breakfast at this hotel, so cannot comment on that. 100 manat deposit was required when checking in even though room had been paid online. Maybe it's common pratice in AZ, I don't know.
GGuest UserWe have spent 6 nights at the hotel simply excellent: The most welcoming, sweet, friendliest and helpful staff. Everything is close by :groceries, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants... 20 mins walk to the city center. The rooms are clean, beds are super comfy, pillows as well, yummy breakfast, the omelettes were divine, reminded me of my grandma. The staff arranged for a birthday cake for me as a surprise, what a treat!! the cake was delicious, Thank you Ahmed and the team. We booked a tour to Gabbal and Sheki a must, via the hotel with Ali, a comfy ride, a patient guide, drove us to amazing places, thanks again Ahmed for going that extra mile. Definitely will come again and again, will recommend to my friends and family.
Aandy6999The Boutique hotel Baku is very close to the bustling Nizami street while being situated in a quiet lane, so that you are away from the noise yet close to the city centre. The master suite was spacious for the three of us and all the amenities were provided. The elevator was a welcome relief compared to a lot of other hotels in Baku. The breakfast buffet was excellent The staff were efficient and did a great job. Highly recommend this hotel The extra bed in the room needs to be of better quality. Hope the management works on this suggestion
GGuest UserIn general, everything is good: a normal breakfast (yes, there is not enough variety if you stay for a long time, but I didn’t have time to experience it in a week), adequate room, wi-fi, excellent staff and price. The room was a little tired (a couple of stains on the carpet, a scratched cabinet), but everything in the bathroom was new + consumables were regularly updated and the main furniture was in excellent condition. The main disadvantage is the location: the bus stops that go from/to the center are close and run frequently, but to get to the stops you have to make your way through parked cars at services, car dealers and tire shops. As a result, I left for OT in the morning and returned by taxi.
The quality of service exceed our expectation. From the first day of arrival until our departure were superb. All of the staff were friendly, accommodating, well knowledgeable with the places to visit, and helpful with all our needs. The cleanliness of the roomand the amenities was also fantastic. The were consistent in keeping the room neat, clean and tidy. The breakfast was completed filled with all sort of varieties of salads, sweets, cereals and many more. Keep up the great job Aksent hotel.
GGuest UserSmall, cozy hotel in the old town. Located at the back of the street, in the courtyard, so the rooms are quiet. You can't hear cars or people. Metro 3 minutes walk. The room was deluxe, clean and spacious. Everything is there for a comfortable stay. Elevator . Breakfast is included, each is served on a tray. No choice. I advise you to pay only upon arrival. We were paid by the locals through Booking from their card and at the reception they could not find the payment. Receptionists for the work score two. Zero information and attention. And so the hotel is very worthy for its price in the city center. A small, cozy hotel in the old town. Located at the back of the street, in the courtyard, so the rooms are quiet. Location: Excellent Personnel: Excellent Breakfast: Good - Excellent Overall: Excellent Our trip went nice and safe. Most of the Land Marks are within 15 - 20 min of walk-able distance. For tours, we have taken the help of Reception personnel in Baku and outside. We traveled by Taxi - best is to get a local SIM and download BOLT Application - not worth having a rented car especially at the rush hours... Airport is 20-25 min by car; pick-up and drop off from/to Airport was arranged by Reception personnel. Nice experience which we plan to repeat.
GGuest UserThe hotel was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows the perfect thickness (I can't stand the over stuffed pillows that make your head lay at a 90 degree angle). The included breakfast had a LOT of options, including gluten free for my mom. The reason I'm only giving it 4 stars in that there was mildew in the bathroom and my parents room wasn't cleaned when we arrived at 11pm. They got an upgrade to a suite...but then they only had one towel in the bathroom. Just little stuff.
GGuest UserMy stay at the Bristol Hotel from 1st Sept to 5th Sept 2023, room No 103, in Baku was an absolute nightmare that stretched over four agonizing nights. Despite its touted central location, this ancient relic of a place doesn't even come close to resembling the ”hotel” it's advertised as online. It's more like a dingy rental hostel with delusions of grandeur. Let's talk about breakfast – a lackluster, uninspired routine that required us to play a waiting game at their absurdly inconvenient hours. And don't even get me started on the absence of room service or the complete absence of drinking water. It's as if they're actively trying to make your stay as miserable as possible. The rooms are laughably non-soundproof, and the pitiful window curtains do nothing to shield you from the relentless onslaught of intrusive light, especially with a blaring nightclub next door. The fact that management couldn't care less about replacing those curtains is infuriating. But wait, there's more! The bathroom lock decided to throw a wrench into my already dreadful experience. I found myself trapped inside the bathroom, envisioning a nightmarish scenario where my partner wasn't in the room to rescue me. Can you imagine being stuck in there for hours, or even days? In all seriousness, I implore you, in the strongest terms possible, to steer clear of this establishment. It's an absolute travesty, and you deserve far better for your stay.
