We stayed at the Shadow Inn in the last four days of October 2024. It is very centrally located about 100 metres to buses and shops. All staff are helpful and the facilities and food excellent. So much so that we invested in a wonderful cooking class featuring the traditional beetroot, okra, bean, dahl and chicken curries on the final evening. It was easily the best meal we have enjoyed this past fortnight. We were sad to leave.

Chef Wajira and her team were very welcoming! We had an excellent experience learning how to cook traditional Sri Lankan food in her kitchen and enjoyed learning about their culture from her and her family. Thank you for the great memories. Great location 2 minute walk to the centre high street in Ella and 5 minutes from the Ella station. The staff are extremely friendly and the rooms are clean with en-suite as well. Fast WiFi available. The breakfast was perfect to fuel you for a day of travelling. Would absolutely recommend this for any travellers that are passing through Ella.

Die Zimmer sind sehr ordentlich und sauber. Das Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist stark genug, um sich die Haare zu waschen. Wir waren in Sri Lanka schon in Häusern, wo das nicht so war. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren köstlich und üppig. Wir hatten es beide Male nicht geschafft, alles aufzuessen. Die Besitzer sind ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Haus liegt in Zentrumnähe - zu Fuß 2 Minuten. Wir sind sehr froh, dieses feine Haus gefunden zu haben. Es freut uns, das Shadow Inn weiterzuempfehlen.

Petit hôtel géré par une adorable famille ☺️ bien placé,propre avec de bon repas très très bien servi,le petit déjeuner est super bon !!!! Nous avons passé un super séjour !!!! La famille qui gèrent l'hôtel est au petit soin !!! On se sent comme à la maison ☺️ Nous recommandons l'hôtel dans soucis.

Our tour company booked this stay for us and they certainly did well..this we found out is a family run business and they certainly do it well.. The location is a 5min walk to the main street shopping and restaurants anything that you might need the Inn is in a quiet lane clean and well presented the staff were super friendly and genuine or bags were taken up to our room which was very clean with a balcony bathroom was also tidy with fresh towels clean bed linen breakfast is Western or Sri lankan we chose Sri Lankan which was absolutely delicious..finally nothing was a problem..we had a great stay..Thank You

We had a very nice stay and it was made better by the friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were spacious and had clean bathrooms. The hot water worked most of the time. The rooms also had little fridges and there was nice balconies and shared spaces you could sit in with any travel partners for a chat. The food from the menu was delicious and it was nice to have an authentic Sri Lankan curry. The breakfast was generous and we enjoyed the fruit, eggs, toast and Sri Lankan offerings too. The place was in a good location and you could walk to the main ***** of restaurants and the station.

This family hotel is extraordinary, very comfortable and really clean, it's a very friendly family that runs the place, we feel like at home, they take great care of me, plus it's not expensive at all and the rooms are spacious and the shower water is hot. I highly recommend this friendly place
