Mitten in der Altstadt - das ist nett, allerdings auch entsprechend laut am späten Abend und morgens kommt der Lieferdienst schon um fünf und die Kirchenglocken (mehrere!) melden sich auch alle 15 Minuten. Die Zimmer sind soweit ok, waren allerdings irre heiß, was man durch das Öffnen der Fenster hätte vermeiden können - draußen war es nämlich gar nicht so heiß! Dass der Zimmerservice schon um 9 Uhr klopft, fand ich nicht ok - und dass der Zimmerservice schon nach 3 Minuten fertig war fand ich wiederum befremdlich … Irritiert hat uns auch die Tatsache, dass man uns bei unserer Nachfrage nach Parkplätzen nicht auf die eigenen hinterm Haus hingewiesen hat …

Die Zimmer waren stickig und heiss trotz kühler Aussentemperatur und Heizung aus. Abluftventilator direkt vor dem Zimmer läuft bis in die Morgenstunden. Betten mit dünnen Matratzen, sehr billige Kissen. Essen im Hotel war sehr gut. Der Wein war hinüber und wurde zurückgenommen. Ob er auch nicht verrechnet wurde, weiss ich nicht, da keine Rechnung bekommen.

Un joli hôtel en centre ville, il possède une annexe un peu plus haut dans la rue avec d'autres chambres. Le personnel est très agréable, les repas sont bons, et le petit déjeuner copieux. Leur bière ambrée non filtrée est excellente! Dommage qu'il n'ait pas la vue sur le plan d'eau.

Der "Grüne Baum" (und das angeschlossene Hotelgebäude Altes Tor) liegt mitten im Ortszentrum von Bad Waldsee, neben dem Rathaus. Freundlicher Empfang, wir hatten ein Zimmer im Alten Tor im 4. OG (Lift vorhanden). Das Zimmer war mittelgroß, mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet und passend eingerichtet. Sehr sauber, lediglich im Bad wäre etwas mehr Abstellmöglichkeit wünschenswert. Es gab auch eine kleine Minibar. Während unseres Besuches war das Restaurant geschlossen, aber bei der Vielzahl an umliegenden Gasthäusern kein Problem. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, reichlich und nicht nur "Standard-Auswahl". Bei vollem Haus kann es etwas eng werden. Es gibt eine große Terrasse, auch zum Verweilen, das ganze Hotelgebäude ist liebevoll dekoriert (Sinnsprüche). Wir kommen gerne wieder!
