We only ended up in this hotel because there was a big trade fair in Hanover and this hotel was the only one with an acceptable price of €120.00 per night. I thought this was a stroke of luck, as I was deceived by the 4 stars. I am aware that these can be achieved purely through different features and it does not have to be a quality criterion, but you can usually go by them... - not here. It starts as soon as you enter, you are greeted by a 70s/80s flair in the reception area, which mixed with the beguiling smell of old frying oil. Check-in was good, the rooms are small, could use some renovation, cleaning and above all new furnishings and the beds are much too soft (subjectively speaking). The breakfast buffet is so-so.... Scrambled eggs were not refilled and by 8:00 a.m. they only consisted of small, yellow crumbs. The room was not clean and nothing was set up. Again, the atmosphere was more like a pub. Checking out was problem-free - but all in all, I would have preferred to stay somewhere else.
