Zugegeben: Fallingbostel ist kein besonders schöner Ort, die Hotelauswahl ist gering, und dieses Haus liegt am nordöstlichen Rand, kurz vor der Ortsgrenze. (Wir kamen von Süden...) Was man als Radfahrer auf Tour am Abend haben möchte, fanden wir aber hier vor: ein ruhig gelegenes, sauberes Zimmer mit einwandfreiem Bad. Das Bett jedoch etwas weich, nichts für Leute mit Rückenproblemen. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers wirkte heterogen, wenig inspiriert, kein einheitlicher Stil. Für die Fahrräder gab es nur einen leichten, offenen Unterstand im Gartenbereich neben den Müllcontainern, geschützt also lediglich von oben. Ein Eindringling hätte recht mühelos heran gekonnt. Wirklich erfreulich das reichhaltige Frühstück. Für nur 6,80 € bietet es viel mehr, als wir in manch anderem Haus auf der Tour erlebten. Etwas verstimmt hatte uns allerdings der recht rigide Ton der Bestätigungsmail. Wir hatten ca. drei Wochen vorher gebucht und bekamen eine Antwort mit Hinweisen auf 45 bzw. 29 Tage Stornierungsfrist und ggf. erforderliches ärztl. Attest. Der Satz „Wir freuen uns auf ihren Besuch“ hat da einen Beigeschmack. Schade.
