Dinner took longer than should but guess they were just busy with the slightly bigger group dining. Love the hotel! Area is quite, hotel is modern even though in a castle.. it’s just beautiful

We spent one night in this beautiful hotel. Parking is easy, outside and for free. On entering the village Landau (which is part of Bad Arolsen that itself is about 7 km away) make use of the castle gate and not the entrance saying it is for deliveries. The reception was efficient. Take a stroll in Landau, you will like the village as well. The rooms are very nice esthetically and very comfortable. Hygiene is perfect. Beds comfortable and the view on the inner part of the castle area very nice. The restaurant is excellent. But one warning: some starters, delicious as they are, are also large. I combined the salmon dish (starter) with the burger and that was too much. But both dishes were excellent as were the soup and the fish my husband had. The dining/breakfast area is beautiful like the whole hotel. Breakfast and the drinks in the refrigator in the room are included. Breakfast is perfect. The price of staying this is a surprisingly low. A great experience.

Wij waren er in een zeer warme periode (voortdurend zo’n 30 gr, C). In de kamers is geen airco, wat wij ons kunnen voorstellen bij een historisch gebouw als dit. Het zou daarom aangenaam zijn de kamers te voorzien van bijvoorbeeld een plafondventilator, of tenminste horren voor de ramen, zodat deze volledig open gezet kunnen worden. Dit kan nu ook. Maar heeft tot gevolg dat wij beiden ontzettend zijn aangedaan door muggenbeten. Bijzonder onaangenaam en wellicht een reden om niet meer in dit jaargetijde terug te keren. Jammer, want wij verblijven hier graag!
