I decided to try this hotel again because the location was close to the port. While I found it better than my last visit it was still not on par with the best hotels in Bacolod. The good: - The hotel is clean - being attached to the SM Mall with lots of choices for food and shopping was great - Sleep quality was acceptable - water pressure in the shower was great The bad - breakfast was especially bad. No bacon, no egg station, the only juice was calamari’s- how do you provide a breakfast buffet in a tropical country with no mango or pineapple juice??? The coffee and tea is serve yourself. This simply does not compare to the breakfast buffets at the better hotels in Bacolod . The no longer provide individually bottled water in the room. Instead it’s a large bottle that at least in my room was not marked as filtered, so I went out and bought water. - overall the feel is as though they are trying to get by on the cheap. The low quality desk chair, lack of individuality bottled water, poor quality towels, etc. all lead to this feel It’s not bad, just not worth the price. There are much better options in Bacolod for less money

I stay in hotels 200+ nights a year, both for work as a healthcare professional traveling around the U.S. and for leisure in Asia, where I live. In recent memory this is the ABSOLUTE WORST hotel that I have stayed in. Saying it is HORRIBLE is not an apt description. Think worse, MUCH WORSE. Staff were rude, insolent, indifferent and were the least representative of ”hospitality” that you could imagine. My wife and I were traveling separately because I was flying back home from the U.S. and she was coming from up island. We normally stay in a much better hotel each time I get back from an overseas contract, but our usual hotel was booked out. The hotel looked ”okay” on the website. Not in real life. Despite numerous emails and texts, one that very morning, about my wife arriving ahead of me and occupying the room the front desk staff made her sit in the lobby for 2+ hours because the room was ”Not ready”. The only thing that would have made this room ready was a wrecking ball. This hotel has set a new sub-standard of excellence. If you lowered the bar any further a snake couldn't slither under it. Grime, filth, rust, the bathroom vent fan hanging out of the ceiling, the room ”safe”, a shoebox sized box, didn't work, but no worries, it had been ripped from the wall previously, so you could just carry it with you under one arm. Just getting into the room was an adventure as the entry tile was buckled so that you couldn't open the entry door completely. You couldn't open the adjacent closet door either, but that really didn't matter since this hotel does not provide hangers. Really. No hangers. The pool, viewed from our room, might have been inviting to cool off, if it hadn't been for the lovely ”Frog Pond Green” hue of the water. We asked for extra towels and an extra pillow. Those come at a cost. The next day housekeeping took the clean (extra) towels out of the room, but left the dirty ones on the floor. Then the front desk called and said that we needed to pay the ”daily rental” for the extra pillow. Otherwise they would be sending someone up to collect it. After the 2nd night we'd had enough. Really, we would have shifted sooner but I was jet lagged from 30 hours of transit from the U.S. back home and, really, could it get any worse? Well, yes. Day 2 I awoke to find a construction worker on the access balcony outside our room's window. At 0605 hours. Peering in. Silly me. We were on the 4th floor, why did I need to worry about drawing the drapes. He smiled and waved. This would be a great place to stash your hated mother-in-law, worst enemy or evil boss. The staff seem to be taking their hospitality cues from binge-watching the PURGE movie series. The ONLY redeeming factor is the SM Mall located about 0.3 km away. So, you can always look forward to shopping. Like I said, the WORST hotel experience in memory. We fled. There are a few decent hotels in Bacolod. This is NOT one of them. Stay clear and far awa

It's certainly an older hotel and it looks in need of tender loving care. However, it was a good price and the staff were nice. The aircon worked. The water was warm though the shower hose was broken.

I love how clean my room was, I hope for new pillows. They were not fluffy enough. I had a good sleep though. The staff were also pleasant. I love the K9 named wattatops. I also would like to suggest to add fruit looks on your cereal for breakfast and more food choices for buffet.

I would not recommend Avenue Suites to anybody I respect. Staff in reception, restaurant as well as housekeeping staff are very friendly, always smiling, but totally useless due to lack in management and supervision. We hung the hotel’s preprinted request to clean our room ASAP outside our room at 7AM, but when returning to the hotel at 1:30PM our request was still hanging at the door with our room not cleaned, depriving us of our afternoon rest. When complaining to the reception we were told they do not start cleaning rooms before 3PM, so what was their preprinted requested for? For our complimentary breakfast we had a choice of a tiny almost invisible one-egg-pancake or a tiny almost invisible one-egg- omelet. No in-room complimentary drinking water, slippers, refrigerator usual in most 3–4-star hotels in the Philippines; they were not even ashamed asking for 50p per person for slippers.

This has been my go-to hotel since 2013 and I can say that I am always at home every time I check in here. My recent stay was during the holidays from December 29, 2023 to January 4, 2024. What I notice different from the previous stays were the staffs are more proactive and very customer-service oriented and would greet you when they see you at the lobby. These minor touch is very well appreciated by guests. The front desk were very helpful and efficient. The housekeeping were always on their foot everytime I need them. The bellman were also warm everytime they greeted us at the lobby. The hotel room I stayed was great although a bit dated. Aircon was good and powerful. The bathroom was also great, not slippery, no moldy areas. The breakfast buffet is great as well. Staffs at Ripples restaurant were up on their feet and is very efficient in assisting guests. Overall, I had a great stay and would still stay here when I’m in Bacolod.

Booked a Deluxe Queen room. Quite big and good value for money. Swimming pool is nice. Left me a little bitter mouth because in 40 years of travelling this is the first time I have been charged for a dirty towel. Reception was like ”Sir, we need to charge you because the towel is dirty”. Me: ”aren't these supposed to get dirty?” Reception:” Yes, but not that dirty”. Towel was dirty (dust from the car, no oil or things like that, just dust), nothing a washing machine would clean. I was in a hurry to check out otherwise I would have washed in the shower and left it kind of cleaner 🙄. It's ok, I have been charged 300php, but of course I requested them to give me the towel. Lol.

The room was very clean and comfy. I had an amazing stay however, I am a busy person and prefer to stay inside the room most of the time. I don't have much time in the world to go out and look for someplace to eat. I suggest you find someone to partner you in providing food for your guests especially during the night or early mornings. The staff were nice and accommodating, however, I don't feel any sincerity at all. They all look pleasant but boring, I suggest you should include in your training in teaching them to at least smile, after all, you are from the city of smiles. I was thinking they were only trying their best to be nice just for the sake of doing their jobs. They could have been more welcoming. Thank you for the excellent service though! :)
The property enjoys a strategic location among quiet subdivisions with commercial hotspots. Nearby are malls like The Row; Robinsons Place Bacolod and SM City Bacolod. A few corporations are operating near the area; leading to a demand for urban living necessities such as restaurants; bars; cafe and markets. Furthermore educational institutions such as the University of St. La Salle and Riverside College to name a few are only minutes away from the property.
Tourist spots such as The Ruins and Capitol Park and Lagoon are also a couple of minutes away allowing you to have the complete experience of Bacolod right outside your door.

It is a clean hotel that is hard to find in Bacolod. It is a hotel that has been open for about 2 months, but as it is a chain of the ASR Group, the staff's system seems to be well organized. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. As for breakfast, it is the best in its current state among all the hotels I have stayed at in Bacolod. It is regrettable that not all the facilities are open yet, so not all the facilities can be used, and that construction is underway right in front.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe place is nice and clean. Good ambience and service is great. Will definitely recommend to friends, family and even in business outings. Ordered pizza and carbonara. The staffs are nice. There are various cocktail drinks.
WWyNe NetteA place to stay for a quick stop in Bacolod, only stayed for a few hours since our flight was at midnight we decided to look for a place to rest and have a quick bath before going to the airport. Though the place is far from the airport, its accessible in the other parts of the city.
Iiamrheenabananastaff was great. very nice and helpful. rooms were pretty nice. tempting to stay and do monthly here. bathroom is spacious enough. great shower with good showerhead and hot water.toilet flushes well. bed is comfy and fluffy pillows. good sleep. ac works great. gets so cold. its next to lasalle so the surrounding area is nice. its good to take a walk. theres a couple options for mass just a short walk away. great experience.
WWayne PearsallDouble room, nice table and chairs layout a little odd as table not near power socket. But I changed this. Can see reflection of bed in mirror from outside through side of curtain. So covered mirrors with towel.
There is a power socket by bed but it's covered ? At less than a tenner to replace let's get it done.
CCedric GThe 1st room on the 2nd floor needs renovation and Wi-Fi connection there was bad however the room I transferred to was newly refurbished and Wi-Fi connection was not an issue anymore. It's good that their shampoo and soap were organic. Parking space was limited while breakfast needs improvement. Overall, our stay was good.
GGuest UserWe were staying in this hotel for like 3 days last month. I thought they were just like the other hotels we have stayed at, where the employees and staff are doing well, polite, respectful to their clients, etc., but I guess I was a bit wrong. Moreover, it was my first experience from this hotel that every day we have to jump in or transfer to another room for so many reasons, and to be honest, we were integrally aggravated because we had to fix and gather our stuff again before transferring. That idea from them was too awful. Additionally, the first room that we were in was spacious, and we had our own cabinet, but when we were transferred to our rooms on the second and third days, I really didn’t like it because the room was too small; it didn’t have any cabinets or hangers to hang our clothes. We were paying the right amount of money per day, although it is very expensive and the hotel had no elevators, yet I don't know if they were providing or giving us small yet uncomfortable rooms considering that I availed of the room just like the first day that we were put into. Hence, the second and last rooms on our second and third days are really not reasonable.
TTyn BIt was a day when our internet was not working well , we had to go somewhere to have our classes for the night , East Square Inn is one of our option because it is just 30 minutes away from our location . As we inquire how much the room was --it is only 500 pesos for one night and it is actually cheaper than other places which we also checked online .... the room is clean , the area is so cool and relaxing . The lobby has wifi . the room has strong wifi , the reception gives password for all the wifi from lobby to 2nd floor (very useful) water is available in the lobby and receptionist is available all the time . Thank you . Surely checking in here is not a hassle . We didnt regret choosing your Inn for our travel and it helped us a lot .
GGuest UserThe epitome of you get what you pay for, but budget should not mean low quality, rooms are far from the pics they show, it was very small for family room standards, cobwebs, dirt on the edges & corners of the room, this shows very very poor housekeeping, should have backed out upon seeing the entrance, uncut grass, dirty facade, upon entering, you are greeted with a musty smell, also, bathrooms is as unappealing as the room, there was also the sound of something gnawing on wood, but to be fair,AC was good, WIFI fast & stable, location is very good, but sadly that's it, to the owners of this hotel, please improve, your location and pricing is hard to beat, cancelled my 2nd day coz I was concerned of my family's health, the 200 peso cancellation fee was well worth it
