Front Desk Shante was a delight!! EVERYTHING a guest needed to know about the hotel and surrounding eateries was right there! I showed up road weary and was greeted with a beaming smile, fantastic disposition, and unchallenged professionalism. The room was clean, quiet, loaded with the necessary amenities and downright comfortable. The proximity to the Capital was a huge plus for a Monday morning commute!!
Hampton Inn by Hilton Austin NW Near the Domain

I was extremely upset to see a movie with nudity and a scene of a nude man and a woman having sex (AKA porn) on the lobby / breakfast room television. I was even more upset when after asking the the manager, Diana, to change the channel she came into the area and I instead of just changing the channel to something more appropriate, asked the man seated behind me if it was okay for her to change the channel as if something like that was up for a vote among guests instead of hotel policy. To say I was angry at the way she mis-handled this would be an understatement . Despite the fact I stayed at this Hampton at least a half dozen times last year or so , I won’t be returning. Keep porn off public televisions and teach managers how to deal with matters of corporate policy would be my suggestion Hampton/Hilton. Otherwise the location is good and the rooms are clean. Too bad they allow unclean programming to be played on their television in the public area. Thankfully no children were in there at the time this occurred.
Hampton Inn Austin/Oak Hill

”I was extremely disappointed with the staff at the Hampton Inn in Austin, Oakhill. The staff were rude, argumentative, and unprofessional, lacked any sense of candor, and genuinely seemed like something you would see in a bad movie. For context, my wife traveled to Austin on a business trip, and I was recommended by a colleague that she should stay at this hotel. I couldn't go because I was in Pennsylvania, visiting my mother in the ICU unit at Passavant hospital. I told the representative I wouldn't be there because my mom was being taken off life support, and it would only be my wife checking in. I mentioned this to the worker on the phone because I wanted to know if my wife could use my military discount if I booked the hotel for her and sent them a copy of my military id via email, as they requested. ”There After her check-in, I received a call from the front desk, stating that they could no longer give us the military rate because she didn't present the ID. I was confused by this because they asked me to send a copy via email, which they now had on file, but the representative was unwilling to listen. I asked to speak with the manager and she was even more uncooperative and downright disrespectful. I continually asked if I could explain myself, and let them know they have my ID on file, but the woman threw a tantrum and said my wife has 30 minutes to leave their hotel and we just paid for 5 days. It was easily the worst hotel experience I've had in 42 years, and I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there. I have a long list of colleagues that come to Austin and work in this area, and it's a shame for military families to be treated with such disregard. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, as the poor level of professionalism and candor from the staff was unacceptable. ”There are many other hotel options in the area, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a more enjoyable and customer-focused stay.”

Austin City Center
This Hampton Inn has been recently redone. It's beautiful. I loved my room. Great workout area. Small pool. One block from the convention center and really in the center of everything downtown. This will be my go-to Austin hotel from now on.
Hampton Inn Austin-South/Airport Area

I am a Diamond member - I travel a lot. I am quite familiar with the level of customer service one can expect at a Hampton Inn - or any Hilton property. The manager working the front desk tonight was very unprofessional. We needed to make an alteration to the timing of our reservation (booked with points) and he flat out refused. This is after 3 calls today to different Hilton lines to make the adjustment - the property, HHonors, diamond desk - I was told the best way to alter our stay dates was at the front desk once we arrived. The mgr was very short with us, furthermore, no offer for bottles of water or anything resembling any customer allegiance/diamond appreciation. Icing on the cake - this property is very run down. Due to lot of events in Austin, hotel prices were very high so I paid premium points for our room.. I would not recommend staying here.
Hampton Inn & Suites Austin-Airport

This location is a typical Hampton Inn as far as layout, room style, and amenities. They earned 5 stars on customer service alone. I was delayed over seven hours in Boston due to mechanical issues and weather, a perfect storm. Anyway, I arrived in Austin a little after 1:30 AM after the rental car facility had closed, so I could not get my rental car. 1:30 is also well after the Hampton Inn airport shuttle typically stops running. I called when boarding the plane in Boston and the shuttle driver said he would be happy to stay and wait for me until I got my checked bag to ensure I had a ride to the hotel. I called upon landing and sure enough he was parked right outside bagged claim. I can not thank him enough for waiting until almost 2 AM for me. Not all hotel shuttles would have accommodated me. Everyone at the front desk was super friendly as well. Hotel front desk customer service usually leaves much to be desired at 2AM, but the front desk clerk upon my arrival was very friendly and made sure so was all set after a long an tiring day. I will definitely stay here the next time I need a room for a night by the airport before driving to my final destination if not staying in Austin.
