At first our stay at the Newel Acropolis seemed promising. But this changed when we returned, went to sleep and found someone else's underwear lying in the bed. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. Since there was no one working at the reception anymore, we immediately reported this issue the next morning, hoping for a quick resolution. Instead, we were met with an incredibly rude and dismissive attitude. The person at the front desk insisted that ”this never happens,” as if we were lying about the situation. It was made our problem, but it wasn't. If someone truly checked the room as they claimed, how on earth did we end up with someone else's underwear in our bed? To make matters worse, the hotel promised to follow up on this issue, but we never received a call. It was only after we sent multiple follow-up messages - to which we only received an automatic reply - we finally received an update about our request for any compensation. Over a month later! And the response? No compensation, nothing. Just a curt message telling us that they wouldn't be doing anything about it. This entire experience was beyond disappointing. The lack of cleanliness is shocking, but the horrible customer service made it even worse. I strongly advise against staying here. This hotel clearly doesn’t care about its guests or maintaining basic standards of hygiene. Avoid at all costs!

We stayed three nights at the Monastik and we absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect. We enjoy a very nicely decorated and large room with two gigantic windows overlooking the acropole. There was also a basket of free delicacies, a nice surprise you rarely see now a days. But the best of that hotel was the overwhelming welcome by the host Maria, who was charming and attentive to all of our needs. She made us feel like we were family or friends. We travel a lot and this is the best service we ever had. You should stay at the Monastik just for that reason. The hotel is also very well located and we walked everywhere. I had been to the Priamos Boutique Hotel in Ilioupoli several times with my girlfriend and now wife, mostly for a half stay and sometimes for an overnight stay. Every time we were completely satisfied with the quality of the rooms, the cleanliness and the rich breakfast. This time we were disappointed with the overnight stay for several reasons. We chose a spa room where the mattress was very hard, the pillows almost flat, for a blanket it had a very thin cover that had a big hole in the side. When we turned on the air conditioner to heat the room, a bad cigarette smell immediately came out (we have never smoked) and we had to turn it off. The breakfast was mediocre mainly because of the cheap products that had been used. I'm sorry because I had advertised it to all our friends...

The small apartment is not large, but it has all the necessary facilities. The curly guy is very helpful and introduced many attractions, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. in Athens. The location is very good (just on the street on the left in the picture). Popular You can basically walk to all the scenic spots.

Did not use any of the facilities. Everything else was good. Not sure if it was connected to the hotel or a coincidence but for the first time in my 50 years of using a credit card I experienced invalid charges to my credit card. The hotel asked to scan the card for incidentals during check-in. Three days later the invalid transactions were on my credit card. Sharing in the event that others may have had the same experience at this hotel.

Really unprofessional staff at reception, the story is I do join 2 nights meeting event here My group booked 2 nights already without payment (the principal would support 1 night and I must pay 1 night as our agreement) Then I booked for my own 1 night and online paid, remain 1 night that our principal would support Once I arrived for check in, the reception asked for 1 night pay instantly and they couldn't find my name/my husband's name in any booking -- I had never faced an awful situation before (don't check but easy to change, don't care for my information, don't listen to me when I informed the name of group at all) Hotel staff can't find a booking even in trip.com or from the group 😂 then I need to pay 1 night (which the principal will pay later) and he still ask for my booking number in trip.com, so poor practice I have never seen before such a who got all the data but unskilled to check any... It might be a typical person here for no service mind and don't try to understand I take 2 hours to talk and become my fault for duplicate booking....😒 and he ask me for ”how to know I paid in the 2nd night 🙄 ask me to show online statement in my e-banking !?!?!? ,Once I showed he said how to know it is mean to Stanley (statement show the perfect similar of decimal with pay under name trips.com....????) So senselessly staff However I finally got back my money, with the assistance of my Greek colleagues If you have to book here, please don't expect them to be close to standard for a 1 star hotel actually It's one of the most rough service from my experience Good cleaning room, near subway but nothing around, simple amenity
