No value for $. Pictures are misleading. Furniture is from office store. Bed is squishy soft and inquiry led to info that all are “like that” with no solution. Nothing charming in our room. Noisy large free-standing a/c with hose out the window. Specialty coffee (“Thundermuck”-aptly named) was dishwater. Don’t waste your money.

Firstimpressions are everything but unfortunately the day of our arrival in a Sunday, they were having the farmers market and we knew it wasn’t time to check in but we just wanted information about parking. The woman at the front desk had a nasty attitude, didn’t smile and when we asked her if we could check in before 4 o’clock, she said: “ absolutely not”. Came to find out she was the “Guest Relations manager”. We did go back to the hotel at around 3 PM and Erick was at the front desk and he graciously checked us in. He was nice, friendly and professional. The hotel is well situated near the with lots of shops nearby. Our room was spacious and clean, but the carpets were old and dark in color. We stayed two nights and housekeeping wasn’t very good. They left some coffee cups dirty, and didn’t replace the makeup washcloth. Breakfast was just ok, the scrambled eggs were spongy and tasted powdery. The first morning they had really good sausage, that was the best thing for that day.

We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Elliott. Our fifth flor room was clean, spacious and very comfortable with a great view of the riverfront. The whirlpool tub was fantastic! A cedar lined closet was a really nice touch. It was an excellent mix of old-time elegance with modern conveniences. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel does not have on-site parking but overnight parking is free at the lot across the street. We wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel Elliott to anyone staying in Astoria!

We came to Astoria to meet some family and relax , we love the area there is so much to do and many places to thrift which is a favorite activity of my sister and myself. We loved the art deco architecture of this hotel. They are 100 years old this year. The breakfast was good that we had each morning and the rooms are fairly priced and comfortable but we were absolutely tickled with the banter of the check in clerks , an outgoing man with a contagious smile contrasted with his tiny coworker with her long long ponytail. They made us laugh with their light hearted volley and it was clear they enjoy what they are doing and this really resonated with us for the whole stay. We encountered each clerk separately later in the trip and they greet people like you’ve been old friends. Times have been difficult for the world and it is such a breath of fresh air to have such enjoyable interactions in hospitality. The beds are comfy , and our room was pristine. Parking was not an issue at all but on Sundays there is a maker market and you can’t park in any of the parking you normally can. Worst case we had to walk three blocks away which was fine because your employees recommended Blue Scorcher which we needed to work off anyway. There is so much wildlife in the area and as I said before the thrifting is abundant and there are charming stores on every block. For food we enjoyed going to the brewery by the waterfront fort George and we also enjoyed a place called Merry Time. The bartender was really nice and we wish we had more time to spend there and bring the bubbles to watch sports while we sip cocktails. The weather was not great but not awful either and the sun made a few appearances. There is a roof top deck at the hotel that offers a panoramic view of the charming city. We did not get to see the column but want to come back and if we do we will absolutely book this hotel again and make more time to visit old and new places to shop and eat. Ultimately though, we were steered toward all the shops and dining options by the staff at the hotel. This is just a really fun group , and if you ask, the small one with the big laugh and the long long ponytail (we are so bad with names many apologies ) she will show you every rainbow picture she took and gets excited showing like it’s the first time she’s seen it. It’s adorable , unusual and so very refreshing. The young man was also serving breakfast one day and we enjoyed listening to him sing along to the gospel style music playing in the lobby. We didn’t get to meet too many more of their staff but it is clear this company has hand picked a staff that can make a tired stranger feel right at home. My sister and I are sure the entire team must be equally as wonderful. Long story short , wonderful beds , superior service , charming accommodations and beautiful location. Cannot say enough. I hope they see this. Thank you Hotel Elliott and thank you Astoria.

I chose a hotel in the heart of the city so that we could get the full feel for the area and I'm so glad we did. While this is not a luxurious hotel, it has a wonderful historic feel and the most amazing view from the rooftop bar. The sign on the building and engraved in the tiles in the elevators states "wonderful beds" - they aren't kidding! Very comfortable! The breakfast was fine, with lots of nearby options if one feels like trying something a little more substantial. Astoria is a wonderful place to visit - lots of history and amazing views. I loved the city and this hotel!

The beds and pillows were perfect. Roof top lounge had spectacular views. Rooms were quiet, spotless and beautifully updated. In room fireplace was cozy. Breakfast was delicious. Work out room and pool table were a good addition. Staff were professional and friendly. Location couldn’t be better. Across the street from exquisitely restored Liberty Theater, where we enjoyed a fun filled night of dancing to the Jazz Preservation Orchestra. Proceeded by an exceptional dinner at Cruthers, located a half block away.

Wonderful central hotel for visiting Astoria with your family or as a romantic getaway. We've stayed there for the last 12 years annually as we visit the town for Thanksgiving. The facilities are beautiful and well done - the staff is friendly and the breakfast is perfect. We started visiting as a young dating couple, and 14 visits later we're staying as a married couple with three children. I can't wait for next visit.

I had to be in Astoria for 3 nights for work and chose this hotel because of the location. I’m so glad I did, both my room and the hotel lobby were cozy and inviting. The guest rooms also have heated bathroom floors and nice bath robes. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, I felt like I was staying at a relatives nice historic home and couldn’t have had a better stay.

Very charming hotel with a lot of attention to detail. The hotel is very well kept. The rooms were cozy (ours had a gas fire place you could light if desired). Conveniently located in the downtown area which is very walkable. Complimentary breakfast bar that was included was well stocked and included Portland ketchup (bonus!). The staff were helpful and attentive.
