Very good location and very good value- for Aspen. The motel is very kitsch. It’s a vintage throw back. Our room was large. The beds were comfortable. There was a retro fireplace that gave me and my husband a chuckle. The do supply earplugs and you may need them because of the busy main road. My husband checked us in and commented on how friendly the guy at reception was. Parking was nice and easy right outside the door

This inn was in a great location, and we walked everywhere. The office worker was super helpful and talk us a lot about the town. Rooms were fine and a good value. They also had bikes available for free use. The only negative was there was no air conditioning. There were a couple of fans in our room, though. We were also very close to a free bus stop.

For the price and the area, this place is excellent value. Most other hotels are very expensive. The Lodge is basically a motel. The front office is staffed around the clock, with friendly and helpful people. There is coffee, tea and snacks in the front office. The rooms are large with a kitchenette. The bathroom had a bath as well as shower. Everything works, and is clean. It is on the main road, but my room was quiet. It is within walking distance of the center of town. I would definitely stay here again. It was simple and easy.

Arrived late in the day. Office was open and staff very helpful in getting us into and settled in our room. Room has everything we need, including coffee, and was clean and comfortable. There is no AC and rooms are accessible by stairways. Our room fronted on Main Street. Traffic noise did not bother us with windows closed. Staff member acted as excellent concierge! Download and try the free Downtowner transportation. Great location to walk to shopping and dining.

Tyroleon Lodge is in a great location right in town. We stayed over the new year and it was by far the best bargain in Aspen. The room was big, had a nice kitchenette and was more modern than I was expecting. The staff were all pleasant and I always found parking right in front. It’s walking distance to everything in town including the Ajax lifts (a bit of a walk but still walkable). I also appreciated the ease of getting in and out of the building and parking lot. Many of the other hotels in Aspen take time to navigate the lobby, elevators, valet, etc, but that is not an issue here. I highly recommend staying here if you would like to experience the great skiing and restaurant scene Aspen has to offer without spending the typical Aspen prices. We can’t wait for our return visit next month.

Great location, very near the airport and near the town. Room are cleans with service every day. No A/C I guess doesn’t necessary in Winter but in summer probably Yes if you don’t like to sleep with fan can be uncomfortable. No luxury but the hotel is clean. Ideal for all the people without car.

Aspen is a very expensive place to visit if you didn't know already. This hotel offers decent clean accommodation for a reasonable cost in this area. Location is good, being a few minutes walk from downtown. Room was well equipped, and comfy. We had a basement room which meant we had no view at all and it was a bit dark. Check in was very informative with free coffee.

This is an older building but very comfortable. We were in a downstairs room that was nice. It had a twin bed for our granddaughter who was with us. There was a lot of antique ski equipment as decorations. It was one of the least expensive accommodations in Aspen, and had an interesting history.

Widely known as the best lodging bargain in Aspen, the Tyrolean Lodge is the answer when the question is, “how can we afford to go to Aspen?” With rooms less than half the price of their next budget-friendly competitor, and no junk fees to boot, this unassuming small lodge was the perfect solution to my winter holiday needs. Of course, affordability is far less a plus when a lodging has obvious flaws: poor location, unkempt rooms, noisy guests, etc. Fortunately none of these issues were in evidence here. Located on the main drag just a few blocks away from the downtown core, the lodge, built in the style of a classic ski lodge of yesteryear, boasted simple but spotlessly clean rooms, quiet environs, and excellent nearby public transportation putting the area’s four ski resorts within easy reach. The lodge rooms are adequately sized and if you can score one of the top floor rooms, you may have a partial view of the nearest ski area, Aspen Mountain or “Ajax.” The rooms feature two queen beds and a single bed in the entryway making for an ideal sleeping setup for families. As a solo traveler I would have preferred a comfortable chair over two extra beds but not that big a deal. The rooms also come equipped with large cable TVs, remodeled bathrooms and a surprisingly capable mini-kitchen with fridge, microwave and an induction range. The front desk staff were welcoming, exceedingly pleasant and provided a wealth of local knowledge which enhanced my skiing experience considerably. Although the lodge lacks a large common area, the small lobby offers up excellent coffee, teas and an assortment of granola-bar-ish snack treats. Be aware the lodge has no outside ski storage and no elevator - you’ll need to schlep your gear upstairs if you’re on an upper floor. However, the rooms have ample ski storage right inside the front door as well as handy coat racks for sports clothing. Pro tip: Visit the nearby City Market for supplies, pre-made meals and room snacks at a fraction of the price of eating out - but a meal or two downtown is worth the splurge.
