Stayed here for 1 night, I personally really love dinner and breakfast buffet, variety of choices especially local beef and sashimi. Hotel also provides private Onzen for proviate use and gaming room. but its location is quite far from Train station, it is more convenient by driving a car and park at hotel.
Room price is reasonable and the room is also clean and tidy.
I definitely will stay here again if I visit Aso next time.

We stayed for one night from July 9 (Sat) and stayed with a couple in the Japanese style room ”Nikwa” on the third floor. The purpose of this time was to touch the nature of ASO and to feel the liberation and to soak in a hot spring with good quality of springs. The room was more modern and sophisticated than I thought and more than expected. It was a room that was renewed last year. What I was worried about was that the closet was an old Japanese house, and it smelled mold without lighting, and the mattress on the bed was a little too hard, and the view was not good even on the third floor. The bath was a pure source hanging water, which did not heating, water or circulation, and the hot water temperature was just right, and it was a very good quality hot spring as rumored. However, the size is small and there is no open-air bath. I also used ”taruyu” in the rental bath, but it was well maintained and very comfortable. The meal was ”red beef steak seat”. There were many items and all were very delicious, but I thought that the red beef of the heart was a little fat and the mountain woman fish was quite small. The service was made to be a woman from Nepal, but there were several points that I was worried about, such as vertically distributing rectangular dishes of incense. I think this is a problem of staff training. Overall, it is a very old established inn with a very historical style, and it is well understood that it is carefully maintained, and it is thought that it is a hot spring inn with a taste. I felt that the charm of this inn was exhausted by the word ”good quality hot spring”.

It was a very disappointing stay. After checking in, when I was about to head to my room, a female staff member ran up to me and guided me, saying, ”This is it.” Please get on the elevator,” and ran away. I get on the elevator on that street, but I can't find a room even if I look for it. When I went back to the first floor, I found the same female staff member again. And when it's time for dinner, I try to leave the room, but the door won't lock. Even though the door should be auto-locked, it opens when you push the door. Maybe it's badly built, the key doesn't go in and it doesn't lock. When I called the front desk, a female staff member came immediately, but she said, ”Please wait a moment,” and left without a word for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes had passed, a male staff member finally arrived, but he said, ”We can't move rooms because they are fully booked. We will call a contractor to fix it.” Do I have to?” When I asked, he said, ”Since there was a canceled room, please go to that room.” For dinner, I had the ”Akaushi course”, but there were also extremely few dishes. Red beef is a small amount of beef about 2 x 5 cm thick and 5 mm thick, about 3 small bowls, and a little horse sashimi and sashimi. This is the first time I've had such a small amount of food at a hot spring inn. It may be good for small eaters. Also, the foreign staff brought the chawanmushi, but for some reason it was placed on the table instead of on a plate with a spoon for chawanmushi. As for the private bath, when I went early in the morning, there was a used toothbrush and floss on the edge of the bath. It's gross even if it's not in the corona misfortune. At checkout, not a single word of apology was given. Is it because I changed rooms that the matter has already been resolved? Is it just a makeshift lie that I will tell the staff at the morning meeting? This is my first time staying at this inn. It's unthinkable that a hotel can't be locked, and it's unthinkable to leave it alone for half an hour. It was fully equipped with safety box, too, but is problem before that. ”All users, please be careful.”

We are so happy we booked this hotel for heading to Mt Aso. First, the staff greeting was super warm and welcoming. The hotel is brand new and while our room was a great and functional design, the bed was the most comfortable western-style bed we’ve had in all of Japan! It’s location is super convenient if you arrive by train (it’s across the street) and while they don’t really have dining facilities, there is a fun outdoor market right outside where we grabbed dinner: meat skewers, mustard greens biscuit and a delicious craft beer (there is also ramen and a few other food choices).

The place is 5 minutes from Aso Station, very handy.... U have to take off shoes before entering and wear socks or slippers .. You can access the inside from 4pm on, there is a luggage deposit ouside in the meantime They do not offer meals but suggestions / maps / adresses for going elewhere nearby... there is an Onsen 5 min from the base and U can buy tickets at the reception , before 8 pm ..... I had a comfortable double room , bathrooms ( showers and WC, basins ) are shared The guest house is spotless and there is a nice kitchen and sitting room downstairs to share eventually with other guests... I had a good sleep and would go there again if I go back to Aso Volcano...

It is worth recommending👍The environment is very beautiful and comfortable🥰The outdoor hot spring in the room♨️👍👍👍The only decision is that there is no bathroom in the room🛀You can only take a shower next to the outdoor hot spring The roast beef is very delicious) Others are really good 🙁 If everyone will go to Aso Volcano 🌋 This is really close (self-driving tour) 🚗

A traditional onsen hotel, recently renovated and facilities modernised. The twin bed room is large - about 50 sq m in size. In addition, there is a balcony overlooking an excellent view. The breakfast and dinner buffet are fine, though not very special. I like the Japanese style dinner better. The hotel is situated inside the mountain. Access is not easy. There are no shops nearby.

The Yamanami highway runs to Beppu area, and it turns to the left side of Kurokawa Onsen from the intersection with national route 442 where the rest house of Seno is located. Since several years ago, national route 442 has changed to a new road, and it is easy to run with a margin of road width. This inn is ”Ryokan Wakaba”. There seems to be a lot of guests in GoTo travel, and there is no space to stop in the free parking lot, so the key is left at the front desk. The night meal is room meal. When you sit in the seat and look at the drink menu, the drink using ginger seems to be delicious. When Nakai comes, you order ”ginger sweet sake” which is said to be the least alcohol. The dishes are also carried in good procedure. The dishes unique to Kumamoto are delicious, such as frost horse stab and red chicken after Kumamoto miso beef. However, Yakiniku in the room smells on the clothes. Breakfast is usually served in the hall on the first floor, but it is a lunch box in each room to prevent corona virus infection. Rice is cooked with a cherry blossom using shichijo rice, and the side dish is a delicious morning rice called 'rokuhon of kokokugo' and 'miso soup of shichijo rice, tsukitake and Minami Seki fried rice. The inn was friendly and the response was good and the hot spring was pleasant.

Because of the unreliable reservation of agoda, I made a reservation here at the last minute. But I didn't expect it to be such a great experience. It is a separate accommodation. Meals will be delivered to the main hotel. It is a little off the beaten track. It is near Oku-no-Yu. The room is big and has a private bath. The old man serving is very talkative. He looks full of energy.

GGuest UserWelcome sweets are handmade ohagi, and matcha. I've been caught from the beginning! The futon was clean, the color taste was fashionable, and the family rental bath with four was small, but it was very clean and the worry about the amenities was the best. There were many kinds of dinner and breakfast. When I checked out, I had a big diaper and sent it out with a cheerful smile. It is an inn that makes me want to go again.
GGuest UserIn the quiet mountainous area of Azu, the superior traditional hot spring hotel, it is impossible to expect direct rail or public transportation! Only suitable for self-driving travelers, go to the nearest convenience store and drive 4 minutes.
The service is too good to ask for more, very kind, the waiter can communicate in simple English. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, eat in a separate room. Originally there were cows and sashimi, but because we didn't eat it, the check-in explained that the waiter worked hard to help us communicate with the chef to change to duck and sashimi.
The room is very large, the TV is a large-size Sony new smart TV in recent years, Wifi is stable, you can stay in the room to soak in the hot springs, lie on the sofa to play waste and watch YouTube, not afraid of doing nothing at night.
The whole hotel only has 7 rooms, so there are not many guests. The room has been soaked in separate baths, and you can use a large bath (indoor and outdoor) at night to appoint 5 separate soup houses, soaking is very cool!
Next time if you have the opportunity to pass Asu to do the midway station, you will definitely come again!
GGuest UserI go as if I were going to a restaurant for dinner. There are many items and it is delicious. The bartender sometimes made a cocktail after the meal. The room is very normal. The desk is small for room drinks and makeup. The seven spillows of the futon are pleasant but you will have different tastes. I want a hot spring because it is Aso, but I think that if there is at least a large communal bath, the evaluation will be raised. I feel that breakfast has fallen in quality compared to before. 1 There is a free coffee machine in the lobby on the floor.
CCHANGGoing to Google to find Asobe Hotel shows that it is closed. Scared us on the spot, so I immediately went to the customer service, and the customer service said it was open. We drove there, found this hotel, and checked in successfully. The staff there are very friendly, explaining the hotel equipment in detail and actively helping us move the luggage to the second floor. The rooms are also well-equipped with toilets, so there is no need to go outside to go to the toilet. If I live in Aso next time, I will choose this one!
Rrhkhh699I went to Silver Week. There were also guests unexpectedly. The night meal in the morning was good with many kinds. The horse stab I asked for additional was especially good ♪ The hot springs are good and conquered all the bathtubs! I was soaked for a long time, but it was a good hot water without hot water ‼︎ However, I wanted the temperature of hot water to be a little higher.
MMichal BWe stayed in this hotel 6 nights. Our room was in 5th floor and we had super view of sleeping Buddha (Aso Volcanoes). We appreciate that room was much bigger than we are used to see in Japan! So it was very comfortable! There was everything what you need - fridge, fan, air conditioning, safe, humidifier, tv, sofa, and more. Everything was clean! You can use your own bathroom or go to the onsen which is in the hotel! The onsen is traditional and have indoor and outdoor areas! We like jpns Yukata :D sou you can wear it instead of your clothes! The staff was very helpful, kind and professional! But what was the best - was food! It was indescribably amazing! Awesome! So oishii! Everything what we ate was delicate! And very nice to look at! We enjoyed dinner and breakfast time so much! In front of the hotel is special foot onsen what is very nice when the weather is beautiful and sun is shining outside and what's more, you can drink this water cause it is healthy! So we hope to come again!
GGuest UserGood experience for full japanese tradition hotel, They provide comfort room, beautiful yugata, delicious and variety dinning and onsen. They have wagyu and other for the dinner. large onsen have public and private. the suvenior shop is more item to buy.
GGuest UserI stayed on a solo trip. It is a business hotel with hot springs. The hot spring is brown muddy water, and the bathtub in the bathroom is small, but it was just a good 40 degree hot water temperature. There is a private bath 2 room and you can use it for free if you make a reservation. 37 I was able to have a long bath with lukewarm water about degrees. For the price, the number of items was delicious with both evening breakfast and breakfast. The fried chicken from Enoha for dinner was delicious. The room was a clean single room and I was able to spend a relaxing time.
