Check in was a mess. Girl had her airport in her ears and was having a conversation with someone the whole time. Made me feel like I was interrupting her.

Was more expensive than many other LaQuinta. We guess this is due to it being located near Carlsbad Caverns. But we were provided with clean accommodations by a friendly, professional staff. The free breakfast here was better than most other LaQuintas where we've stayed. Our stay here was just a pit stop on our way from Houston to Durango. We would use this hotel again if our travels take us through Artesia.

All the ladies at the front desk were amazing as was the owner. The man at checkout was rude. We were evacuated from Ruidoso, MM because of the wildfire and were treated like family except for the rude man at checkpit!

My stay was 12 hours only due to a late check-in and early check-out for morning meetings. I did not get a chance to use the fitness facility or the lobby area. However, the breakfast area was decent with the exception of a fly in the bread tray. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean.

Staff is always friendly, rooms are pretty clean, pool has always been cold within the last year, and hot tub continues to be broke for over a year and seems to have no concern to get it fixed. We had no water for over an hour and a half and no hot water, no washing hands, no flushing toilets, etc..

Check in took 45 minutes, couldn’t compensate us with our military discount even though we made the reservation two weeks before and advised them. The rooms weren’t clean and neither were the bathrooms, they had previous feces on the bowl. One of the rooms ceiling was peeling. Management was rude.

Just what I needed. Getting late and decided not to drive up to mountains in the dark. Convenient off main highway and close enough to Artesia shopping, restaurants, and bars. Was able to refresh and regenerate before continuing road trip.

This LaQuinta is worth the money for lodging and rest. The room was large and well-kept, the breakfast good, and the Wifi acceptable. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the location easy to access. I'll stay here again on future trips to the area.

First off, the room was very nice, and the beds were very comfortable. I gave this hotel a 4 rating because of the the two problems we encountered with the hotel staff. First, the receptionist sat in the lobby and watched a football game on the TV (quite loud) while we four tried to have a quite card game at a nearby table. Second, when we arrived for breakfast around 8:30 am, there were no eggs. The attendant sat at a nearby table visiting with a friend and did not put out more eggs for almost an hour while we waited.
