We booked a King jacuzzi room for a 3 night staycation. The room was in a severe need of a deep cleaning. Honestly, finding a dead bug here and there doesn't really bother me. I'm also glad the bug is dead which means the place is being sprayed for them. However when you see them right out in open spaces that says to me nobody checked the room before giving it to a guest. There was dirt and grit worked into the edges of surfaces of the bathroom and entryway. The floor got wet with some spilled water so I wiped it up with one of the bath towels and it came up visibly black and grimy. The chair to the desk was broken and the entire freezer separator section in the mini fridge was missing, causing everything we put in there to get wet as the freezer plate defrosted itself constantly. No remote for the TV and one of the jets in the tub was inoperable. After asking for a new chair and being met with an attitude of "whats wrong with it" and going thru demonstrations of the chair for over 10 minutes (why not just give us a new chair?? what's the big deal) I really did not feel like asking the front desk for anything else during our stay. The bed and linens were very clean and super comfortable. I liked that there were lots of pillows to choose from and the linens were so soft. The jacuzzi tub was a welcome treat. A long warm soak in the heart shaped tub before bed was very relaxing. Hot breakfast is almost unheard of during pandemic but it was available here. Not noteworthy, but there was something for everyone. The coffee was very good. The kitchen was a mess from other guests who did not clean up after themselves and the floor looked like someone had dumped a giant toaster crumb tray all over it, swept into a pile and left it. It was like that when I got breakfast and when I came back some time later for more coffee. The indoor pool was a nice offering and I saw several people enjoying it. When I needed assistance there was usually someone in the lobby very happy to help me. I am not sure if they were actually staff because they were not wearing uniforms or other identifiers to associate them with the property. The outside of the property needs maintenance as well. Trash cans overflowing and litter all over the parking lot along with cigarette butts. There seemed to be a single "cigarette depot" by the front door, with a sign saying no smoking within 10 feet of the door. My overall review is that if you want a nice bed to sleep in this place is fine. The location is very good and is a short distance away from anything you might need. Right next door is Burger King and a nice restaurant, across the street a gas station with market - all walking distance. It is easy to get to from the highway and the location feels safe. I do not think the value is here though, due to maintenance needs. I stayed at a comparable hotel in Ohio of the same room type, and it was less expensive and immaculate. This is a safe place with a nice bed but needs improvem
