The hotel was perfectly situated for our short drives to the National Cemetery, a relative in Arlington, and downtown DC. It's also easily reached on the subway from Reagan airport. Shout out to John at the front desk who made our check-in very pleasant and personable. Our two bedroom suite was surprisingly large. Larger than some condos I've seen! Two closets in the king bedroom! Our family of five was very comfortable. However, some of the furniture was showing its age and use. The living room couch responded like a whoopie cushion whenever someone sat on it, and there were stains on a living room chair. Overall the room was clean (except for the dust on top of the fridge.) We needed a pan to heat up food in the oven. Not a single cookie sheet, or oven-proof dish was provided in the room's kitchen. We called John at the front desk, who graciously and quickly found us a useable pan from the hotel kitchen. One pack of dishwasher soap was provided, but no sink dish soap. We regretted that housekeeping was every two days - we stayed two nights, so we never saw the cleaning staff. We would have liked to have had our kitchen garbage removed and our beds made. Breakfast was ok. Staff were struggling to refill nuts, waffle batter, cream, etc. and could barely keep up with the morning crowd. The chicken sausage rounds which showed up two days in a row, and on the soggy breakfast croissant, were less than delicious. It was an easy descent to the parking using the hotel elevator. You have to use your room key to allow the elevator to ascend to the the floors with suites. I recommend the Sweet Leaf Cafe right next to the hotel. Yummy, fresh and healthy smoothies, salads and sandwiches. Get the strawberry mint smoothie! There is also a Dominoes Pizza across from the parking garage entrance.
