Check in took 30 minutes as totally understaffed at 5.30pm
At the bar staff didn’t ask who had been waiting so people pushed in
Decent hotel superficially but training definitely needs to be improved

Not 4 star. Breakfast - worst I have had at a hotel; cold and poor choice. Dinner - waited over an hour, very expensive not worth the money. Room - ok but carpets need replacing. Gym - ok has a few machines and weights. Staff - friendly and no issues. Hotel needs a complete revamp, and food/prices need sorting.

Bed disgusting filthy , one of the most uncontrollable beds I’ve ever slept in , looks fantastic from the outside bar nice service on desk very poor . Bathroom floor flooded after every shower Massive stain on ceiling carpet thred bear such a shame reported bed stained GM couldn’t give a dam . Who ever gave this place a 4 star rating should be sacked

Stayed one night and had a comfortable nights sleep. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. It's location is out of the way and quiet. However, the hotel is in need of updating. New carpets and bed linen for starters. I would like to have had some water in the room. The kettle looked a bit rusty, so no tea. There was no O2 signal in the hotel, but the wifi was very decent. The restaurant is slightly overpriced for what was on offer - but it was good.

From check in to Breakfast not great. Checkin was very poor. Literally gave me the key card and took payment. Did not even tell me how to get to my room. I had to ask about breakfast and dinner etc. Room was ok but very run down, needs some TLC. Breakfast was terrible. Said it was being cooked to order and two mins later it was at my table and was not hot and cooked very badly. I would definitely not pay extra to have this.

Fantastic service from the moment I rang & spoke to Amanda the event coordinator , desperate to find a venue to accommodate my parents golden wedding anniversary ! The customer service & all the requests were met exceptionally , I couldn’t fault them ! Jamie , one of the waitresses was amazing , helping me create the most perfect afternoon tea for 44 people . Nothing was too much trouble, the food & drinks was faultless & lots of compliments from family & friends. All in all i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend & use this venue & team again 😊

went here to stay with my mum and dad and my girlfriend, really terrible staff with no courtesy and clearly can't be bothered with their job, charged my dad double for one room and nothing for a different room and didn't give proof that we paid so they could have charged more. The room was really disappointing and the bed was just a slab of wood and a prison like mattress, air-con was really loud and woke us up in a freezer, the window was really hard to open and just let in loud noises of the bar downstairs and loud car revving, there was no plugs by the bed so you couldn't charge phone or in our case my dad couldn't use his CPAP machine so had an awful sleep. Breakfast was sub par as no fresh orange only cordial and no condiments on the tables, the actual food was okay at best a touch cold and soggy but acceptable. All in all the only reason this hotel deserves the minimum 1 star I can give is the fact that the shower was pretty decent. Would not stay again.
