We needed the convenience of being near the USNA base, so not much time to do any research. But, as soon as we pulled in knew it was a mistake. Shipping containers throughout the already congested parking lot. We had a reservation so no problem with registration, but as we went to room, noticed that musty smell, yeah close to the water, but this was more of a dingy smell. We go thru a part of the hallway to a first floor room, just filthy carpet, stains , spills, etc. Door card reader worked on the 12th try. Room smelled, carpet filthy, and torn in several areas and I kid you not ‘repaired’ with duct tape. Bathroom, wet leaky floor, door wouldn’t open all the way from a bowed shower curtain rod. But, then such a small bathroom, in order to close the bathroom door fully, you had to move the waste basket outside the door. Pulled on refrigerator door ad whole unit came out of cabinet. Had a full day, got back and hall exterior door wouldn’t open…go in through main lobby down the hall and room card reader wouldn’t work even in the 12th, or 20th time. Go to desk, vacant. Call, no answer. Wait about 10 minutes and a small line had formed of others locked out. I’m going to be honest, I think this may have been a distressed property, taken over, but still using the name, not sure how the holiday inn brand continues to diminish. I’m pretty sure if there is any response it will be what I call the ‘copy pasta’ of so sorry to hear of your experience, but…. Look, if you’re so sorry, give me a contact name and number and give me my money back, otherwise we all know it’s just lip service. If you’re renovating, shut that place down until you’re done and stop ripping people off.
