Excellent hotel in every way. Clean. Quiet. Well maintained. Breakfast is one of the best ever. Hot food. Fruit. Cereal. Waffles. Eggs. Sausage. Potato. Cleanliness is exceptional. This would be my first choice in Ames. Competitively priced. The bed was excellent. Soft, but firm.

The Hotel was Great! The Staff was so friendly and accommodating. The Staff greeted you as you walked in ready to help you with check in or anything else you need. It was very clean. Great location to everything, I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The good, the surfaces that need to be clean are: bedding and bathroom surfaces very clean, which is most important. Staff also very kind.. I rated it average due to a couple room issues. When we walked into the room the tile in the entry way was missing quite a bit of grout, it just unfortunately set a negative tone. The other issue was the door, I believe the hinges could use an adjustment. The door was very tight at the top but loose on the side towards the bottom.. You could stick a pencil through the gap between the door and the frame.. It let in a lot of light at night, we used a towel to cover it for sleeping. it was quiet when we stayed, but had it not been quiet the door gap would have allowed a lot of noise in as well. Would certainly be comfortable staying there again, but would try somewhere else first to see if other hotels in the area have better room maintenance.

Always clean an nice - Lots of options in Ames, but the is out go to - tried a couple different just because... no more moving - we'll be at the Hampton Inn. Always clean, breakfast is good and easy access.

We reserved this room for a visit to Iowa State. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful upon arrival. The room was clean and was as advertised. Upon leaving we were called by the front desk to let us know that housekeeping had found a small item we had left behind. Since we were still in the area we were able to pick it up ourselves; however, we were impressed that they also offered to mail it to us. Overall a great stay.

Just want to shout out this team. They were awesome, friendly, welcoming, and just a great group of people. I'm a team member in Alexander City Alabama so I know things, guest, etc. can be difficult at times, but everyone was nice,professional and on their game. We were in town for my Aunt Dr.Barbara Woods retirement from Iowa State,(42years) and you all were truly awesome. Keep up the great work, as well as providing that Hampton "Wow" customer service. I will definitely stay again the next time me and my family visits. Again thank you for your hospitality...Natalie

Jeremy— I was t sure how to get in touch with you but wanted to say thank you for working with my family when I called the Hampton inn on Tuesday in need of cancelling our reservation for this weekend due to an unexpected tragedy in our family. I really appreciate you and Jennie working with us and helping us cancel our reservations when Hilton honors wouldn’t help us. The act of kindness does not go unnoticed, so thank you!
