Unser Empfang war sehr freundlich, unser Zimmer schön und sehr sauber. Betten sehr bequem. Bodentiefe Dusche, alles sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat alles geboten, was man sich wünschen kann: Brötchen, Brot, Käse, Wurst, Marmelade sogar selbst gemacht, Obst und Gemüse, Eier, Saft, etc. Alles frisch und lecker. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig mit schönem Garten zum Sitzen und entspannen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, danke nochmals.

This beautiful hotel is located on the edge of Wesel, with a large parking area. The check-in was easy and quick. My room was in a neighborhood in the first floor over a kelder from which I had no noise. In my presence there were meeting guests and businessmen departing. The Dutch border is about 45 km and the Airport Düsseldorf about 70 km. Excursions are abundant. The room was large enough and clean. The facilities are suitable for a country hotel. The bathroom with shower and toilet is also suitable for it. I have been very good at sleep. Breakfast does not leave any wishes open. There was a very good filter coffee, a coffee cream would have been better for me. Unfortunately, to the bar that opened in the evening I can not say anything. The staff is very friendly.

We booked a room with our little child to spend two days in the nearby Park Ireland. Until check-in, I had only received a booking confirmation with booking number and QR code (my experience after check-in). In the evening against 19Uhr we were now standing closed with a tired little child - from a code for the key cash box was nothing on the Internet site or in the mail (According to the Internet site, the reception was occupied weekdays up to 22Uhr). I called at the hotline, here I was 2x over a total of 10min in the waiting line and was thrown out of the line twice. Other guests inside have left us in the lobby and continued to get us the nice staff on the phone (after receiving a card via the telephone of the reception via the partner hotel). So with the baby now, overtook the telephone again to the lobby and more minutes in the waiting chain. After the staff had encoded the card again, we could also send the listener directly to the next guests who were closed to the door and also did not know what they should do. After more than 45Minuten we finally could go to the room. 2 stars there are only for breakfast at the adjacent restaurant - here you were very struggling and it was very delicious. What is this for an organization and for which service is here paid over €130 per night? The hotel did not have a feedback on my complaint, but the cancellation was only 30Minuten after the telephone check-out, as the reception was not occupied even in the morning.

breakfast was good but could use more staf, the one working there was often alone while it was very busy'the lady at the reception was very unfriendly, and we felt treated as little kids. our room was clean, but outdated and not everything was safe to use for example. there was a coffee pot but the handle of the pot was broken. light bulb in lamp did not work, we mentioned it at the reception, and got a snobby reply, but it was not get replaced.

Very good, the service is also very good, the environment is also very good, the Flip is also very good, the room is very large, and it feels very good, and will stay here later. We 'll introduce our friends later.

Great hotel situated by the Marina/harbour and ideally placed for the city centre. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable hotel. Excellent and varied choice breakfast buffet. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and very friendly. Would have no fears about recommending this hotel.

The Mercure Duisburg City is easy to reach by car. A municipal underground car park is located under the hotel (€12/day). The hotel makes a good first impression. Our room was large and well furnished. The bathroom is very nice and there is also a free hotel safe. The breakfast buffet offered a large selection and left nothing to be desired, apart from the fact that there were no plates from time to time, the coffee machine regularly broke down and scrambled eggs were only available sporadically. Since our double room was initially only for one person (a blanket and towels once) was improved after complaining to the front desk. The grief then on the second day: the rooms and beds are no longer made in this house due to a corona-related lack of staff. Complaints at the front desk pointless. Two nights with breakfast in a double room for € 186 are completely covered in this case. I will not stay here again!

There were five of us checked into the hotel and we had two rooms with sliding doors - superb. Great hotel, very clean, large bathroom, comfortable beds, delicious drinks. Great connections to shopping and as a musical hotel - that's how we used it! Competent and friendly staff at reception, cleaning and bar. The shuttle service was also great. We were completely satisfied. Super tasty, balanced, healthy breakfast - everything your heart desires. From fresh fruit/vegetables to delicious scrambled eggs, a great selection of bread/rolls and tea and coffee specialties. We didn't miss anything! The private sauna was also a dream and we really enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the great stay! I give it 5 out of 5 stars!

When we checked in; 1 agent checked us in while the other 2 just stared at us like we were aliens. One of them had a smirk on their face throughout my check-in, I wanted to ask what she thought was so funny with us checking into the hotel but I didn’t want to spoil the evening. They all started laughing when we left the checkin desk. Know that we are non-European. Very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I suggest cultural diversity training. The beds were disgusting! Small strips of hair all over the fitted sheet. The Most Disgusting was the pee stain on the sheets! The bed smelled like piss too. It was supposed to be non-smoking but someone had been smoking in the room or the insulation/vent systems need more work. I didn’t want to deal with the unprofessional front desk staff so I suffered through the uncleanliness and just put 2 towels on top of the duvet just to feel at ease sleeping, even though we were only there for one night…Thank God I didn’t book for longer. The only positive was breakfast; it was adequate for 1 night stay. Definitely won’t be spending another dime here.
