Small family owned hotel with 3 outdoor hot tubs and beautiful grounds. Restaurant food was excellent. Nice rooms although the bathrooms were a bit tired and lacking in toiletries. The room description stated a jetted tub however it was just a normal tub. The pictures of the room(NH comfort room) showed a patio area however these were only applicable to garden suites. All in all we had a lovely time.

We stayed one night over thanksgiving weekend. The property is gorgeous with well maintained walking trails to enjoy. We took advantage of the outdoor hot tub and were blown away by the fantastic service and food and the restaurant. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff/owners offered incredible hospitality. Sadly, we didn’t take advantage of spa services but will be back to spend more time at this resort. Absolutely stunning property!

I stayed for a night at this cute little spa with a friend who lives in Kingston, so we met in the middle. The spa has 15 rooms, but only one—the honeymoon suite, number 15—has a mini fridge. This was a big surprise, as I’ve come to expect having a place to cool your beverages during a stay. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless, and the beds were queen-sized and ultra-comfortable, with extra pillows. The decor features red, orange, and gold undertones, creating a warm ambiance. If you stay in rooms 8-15, you’ll be on the ground level, which I recommend, as it comes with a walk-out private terrace with reclining chairs. Within walking distance, there are three outdoor hot tubs, which we thought were the highlight of this place. The rooms offer views of lots of greenery. Rooms 1-7 are upstairs, which means you don’t have to carry your luggage down any stairs, but you won’t have a terrace and will have to walk a bit further to reach the hot tubs. However, it’s manageable as you can use one of the robes provided in the room. Be aware that there are no slippers, so bring your own flip-flops to move around the spa. The restaurant was another highlight. The food is surprisingly tasty and homemade. If you visit in the fall, the seasonal menu is a must-try—especially the soup, kale salad, and pumpkin ravioli, which are simply delicious. The included breakfast was alright, but I appreciated that they offered one non-dairy milk option (I believe it was oat milk), which made me happy. There’s a daily yoga class from 10-11 am in a small room with large mirrors. We squeezed nine people into the space, and the instructor mentioned that it was the largest class she had ever taught at the spa. There weren’t enough yoga blocks for everyone to have two each, and I was glad I brought my own mat from home since the provided ones were just enough. Despite the tight space, I enjoyed the basic yoga class, and the sunlight streaming in through the large windows was lovely. For treatments, I tried reflexology. There are no Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) on site, so you’ll need to pay out-of-pocket for any treatments. Reflexology was interesting—not quite what I expected, as it felt more like pressure on certain points of my feet rather than a traditional massage. Since I’m not an expert, I just went along with the experience. I was offered a complimentary hand or head massage and chose the latter, which was lovely. The parking lot is fairly generous in size and is included with your stay. We had two cars for one room, and it was no issue. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a non-alcoholic pink drink. My friend arrived later and didn’t receive one, but I enjoyed mine after the long drive. If you miss it, just ask for it at the front desk. The staff was attentive and calm throughout our stay. The facilities are very clean but simple, with a small steam room and an even smaller dry sauna. I’m not tall, but I couldn’t lie down on the bench in the dry sauna. Desp

Northumberland Heights is not as luxurious as more high end spas but it is fabulous value for the price. We preferred the intimacy of this smaller operation and the personalized service we received. The staff are fabulous and the meals are five star. It was a wonderful experience. We'll be back.

the horrible ways staff dropped the ball in the event we attended up this place. No beverages that weren't wine or water were offered during dinner. Super fun when you don't drink and have 3 empty glasses in front of you. Steak was overcooked. Place was an unbearable sweat lodge, People were literally leaving the meal to stand outside to cool off. Turns out, heat was on. 27 degrees that day, and the heat was on. Staff were unprofessional sitting on their phones in front of guests. Staff approached a guest and asked them to keep the fire lit, Excuse me, sir. What exactly do you get paid for? Staff kept dumping gasoline on the fire until we had to leave area due to fumes. There was about 10 minutes of hors d'oeuvre served, I went to change quickly came back and no food was left. Venue ran out of many types of basic alcohols, this was a small event, and about half of us didn't drink, wildly unprepared. Staff were distant and unhelpful, guests had to take care of many aspects that were paid for. Food allergies were ignored, were lucky the bride noticed and said something so no one got sick. There was no signage or staff to greet us and tell us where the event was taking place. People were wandering around aimlessly asking each other where to go. Person behind the desk didn't even say hi when we came in. 400 dollars a night, 225 a head. Absolute robbery

This is my second visit to Northumberland Spa - I choose to go during the week as I prefer solitude during my spa treats. Both visits I chose Ayurvedic tmts and i found them deeply relaxing. Food is amazing; beds are comfy; staff are friendly and accommodating.

I always see this on deal sites and I always wanted to come. We booked via a Travelzoo deal and it was easy enough to book. I was struggling with providing a fair rating because I want to acknowledge the extremely hard work the family puts running this place but also be realistic in the services we receive. We arrived on a rainy afternoon to Northumberland. We were checked in swiftly, and the entrance looked very nice and inviting. We were offered a delicious welcome drink while the staff showed us the resort and our rooms. They showed me the women's spa change room and it looked very nice, they showed me where I could borrow some slippers if I needed them. I forgot to bring them but when you go to a spa (even a day spa), they always provide you with slippers. The slippers here were flip flops and they were extremely dirty (mud) and mismatched. I finally cobbled up a pair but they fit very weirdly. I actually spent some time cleaning it myself to make it suitable to wear. We had the first room on the main floor, I was concerned about noise but once we were in the room we did not hear anything. As noted in several previous reviews, the chain to the door was broken. We also mentioned this to the hotel when we checked out. I was also very disappointed to find that we did not have any toiletries in our room, only hand soap. I actually asked the staff about this and they said yes, they provided everything. I just thought this showed lack of detail, I've never ever been to a hotel or even a motel where you did not have basic shower soap. We were only staying a night and my partner happen to pack some soap so it was not even worth bringing up. We had afternoon tea in the dining room and it was a very basic affair. The tea was very nice, but the pastries and sandwiches were very average. However, we enjoyed the atmosphere and it was a nice way to relax. I did note that the afternoon tea and the evening dinner was very close together. I asked if we could shift dinner a little bit later, and they agreed. I had a facial after the tea. My aesthetician took me to the spa through the MEN'S CHANGE ROOM (this will be important later). The treatment was nice, it would not have been worth the full price but the package made it fair. During dinner I could tell that the staff were starting to get tired. I get the feeling this is family owned, and everyone does everything. I could tell they were getting impatient. I understand it's very difficult and hard work, but I should not feel like I have to be on my best behavior to not get on the staff's nerves. However, once we had our meal, everything was forgotten. The dinner was nothing short of exquisite. There was a lot of attention to detail and care to the food. It was so good. The next morning, most of the same staff was working (so again, very overworked, I get it). Although it was a basic breakfast, it was so delicious and the food was piping hot. I have to say, the chef is outstanding. They really made o

Pros: Spacious rooms with comfotable beds. Dinner was very tastey. Cons: broken chain on door, laking in amenities, hottubs steam room and saunas (only amenities) close by 7:30pm. Found it not worth the price paid. And I got a wagjag deal...
