Albergo che merita una meno di stella. Impossibile reperire due cuscini singoli e abbiamo dormito in un letto con lenzuola rotte. Gli asciugamani sono consumati e forse da buttare. No acqua fresca nel frigo (neppure a pagamento) nonostante e 43 gradi esterni. Quando l’ho fatto presente mi è stato detto che dovevo chiederla in reception ovvero in una struttura diversa e separata da dove si ubicano le stanze.

L'hotel si trova in centro accanto ad un altro hotel più nuovo della stessa catena. La nostra camera era grande, confortevole e pulita tuttavia l'edificio non è nuovo e le stanze non sono insonorizzate. C'è un parcheggio riservato per l'hotel a pagamento che è molto comodo se si viaggia in auto. La posizione è ottima per visitare la città a piedi.

Torreluz Centro Hotel was our home for the next five nights. This reasonably priced and super convenient hotel is located smack in the centro area of Almeria. So, basically park your car in the nearby car park and tour the city. You are within walking distance of the Alcazaba de Almeria, the 10th century Moorish Fortress, the 16th century Almeria Cathedral, great shopping and restaurants, and not far from the beaches, Playa de San Miquel and Playa del Zapillo. On your way to these beaches, you will pass by the impressive El Cable Ingles, the huge iron pier where they used to ship iron ore from the local mines. The hotel is on the Plaza de las Flores where you can have your picture taken with a statue of John Lennon reclining on a bench with his guitar. Why is this statue here? Well, Almeria was where John Lennon penned "Strawberry Fields for Ever". He played the part of Private Gripweed in the movie "How I won the War", which was filmed in the area. Torreluz Centro Hotel is a modern hotel featuring free wifi, air-conditioning, satellite tv. The beds and bedding are comfortable, featured in clean and comfortable rooms. I believe the parking was complimentary, the excellent breakfast buffet was offered at a very reasonable price. One of its features was the freshly squeezed orange juice. There is also a full service Restaurant available which offers patio dining, a nice convenience. And the Staff were friendly and courteous. Writing this review makes me want to go back. PS: If adventure afield is desired. a drive out to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Cabo de Gata is easily doable. We spent the day at a wonderful beach called Playa de Los Genoveses. An interesting feature, are the multitude greenhouses in the area. These intensive agriculture operations, produce vegetables that are shipped all over Europe. The production and associated industry. account for almost 40% 0f Almeria's GDP.

Clean, super central, I know you can see Almería walking quietly, everything nearby, parking, friendly, spacious room, it's a shame that the bathroom is large but the bathtub makes it somewhat uncomfortable for 2 people to be there at the same time, since everything is very close together , perfect breakfast, just right, no more no less, breakfast room is also held in the hotel next door to Torreluz but this one is 4* and the Torreluz center is 3*, for the price it is worth 3*, without a doubt I doubt I will return to Almería, this is my hotel, safe, refrigerator, plenty of storage, perfect for seeing Almería on foot

Very old hotel, needs renovation, room with a musty smell, broken towels for the price I paid leaves a lot to be desired, I will not return. It doesn't even have a pool. For breakfast it depends on another hotel.

The hotel is centrally located and is definitely ideal for a city trip. We booked a parking space at the same time and it was necessary. It is in the city center and parking spaces are extremely rare there. It is great that there is a small parking bay in front of the hotel so that luggage can be unloaded and taken to the room before the car is parked in the very close parking garage. The room was clean, quiet and pleasantly furnished. It was also positive that there was a small refrigerator and a power socket right next to the desk (we have experienced this before). The modern bathroom with bathtub is also worth mentioning. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, and they played their part in ensuring that we would not stay anywhere else if we visited Almeria again.
