We stayed for one night in the De Palmier suite with dinner & breakfast included in our room rate. Everything about our stay was excellent in this quirky old pub. Parking was in the large, hidden from the road, car park adjacent to the building. Just watch out for the abrupt, steep entrance to it! We were entertained by a motor home negotiating the slope! The suite was beautifully clean & spacious with a super-king size comfortable bed, a separate lounge area & en-suite bathroom. Good to see that a decent hairdryer is provided, in-room fridge, homemade cookies with the hospitality tray & fresh milk available upon request. Dinner was from a non-too-large menu which was delicious & not your usual pub fare. Breakfast was a step from the usual offerings too with smoked salmon & egg on a bagel, French toast with bacon, fruit & maple syrup after croissants to start. None of your ordinary toast & cereals here! All staff were very friendly & welcoming & it was good to see a pub busy on a Monday evening in September. We shall certainly return when our next Eurotunnel trip calls!
