Days Inn by Wyndham Grand Island I-80

Clean room, but old carpet.

Very large, plenty of room, has a bar. 6 miles off of I80 but worth it for the savings. Lots of parking, I was in a large moving van, was able to park almost right in front of my room, walked my stuff in through the sliding glass door. Only complaint, breakfast bar needs to be better monitored, should not be running out of food with only 6 people eating at the time!

We had no power in our rooms after plugging in a few things to charge. Showered in the dark. Left with dead phones. Front desk couldn’t be reached by phone and power was never restored. Nor we were allowed to switch rooms.

I chose this hotel for price and easy on/off access to I-80. It was at the 10-hour point in a long drive, and the hotel was clean, comfortable and felt safe. Staff on the overnight shift had better people skills than the check-in afternoon shift, but everyone was helpful and courteous. A warning if you are wanting to share a bed, the queen beds are probably full-size and would be very small for 2 adults. Very comfy for one person however. Hotel has easy access to a couple of truck stop-type eateries, but the long distance from town means there aren't many food delivery options. Hotel next door has an apparently defunct restaurant. If you want to drive 8 miles or so each way , downtown Grand Island has a variety of restaurants. Best thing about this location was the state recreation area across the highway, if you have time there is hiking, fishing, birdwatching and swimming.

Only thing missing was an impressive breakfast. Otherwise everything wonderful and affordable. Newly remodeled. I recommend this place.

The room had hair from other guests all over. The sheets on the bed were over worn and the elastic was worn out so the sheets didn’t stay on the bed. They offer a breakfast with no food!!!

I booked online and the website did not mention the hotel was in the middle of renovations. Prior to my arrival, the front desk staff called to let me know about the state of renovations (breakfast would be next door) and that the room I reserved was not available due to renovations and that they moved me to another (from double to king) and asked if that was acceptable! I would have given 5 stars (only 4 because I was in a room not yet renovated) for this kind of customer service alone.

Call hotel to verify that there is no construction zone in the lobby and breakfast area before booking. The hotel will send you to another hotel for the breakfast, but it is a bit of a walk and not fun when it is raining. Full price for that is ridiculous.

This has to be one of the newer Days Inns. I was nicely surprised by the decor, cleanliness, and amenities provided. Everything I needed in a clean new like room. I had started to avoid Days Inns because of some poorly maintained experiences but not this one. Good location just off the freeway, very much would stay here again.
