Selected this hotel primarily due to it's location not too far from the Balloon Fiesta and I was able to book a rental car through Costco Travel. I was having a hard time finding a car after booking the Gondola Club at the Balloon Fiesta the first day bookings opened. The hotel as been around for a while and the rooms are or soon will be undergoing a renovation. Nothing too special good or bad about the rooms. There is nothing in walking distance of the hotel. There is an area 5 minutes south that has hotels and a variety of restaurants. We drove down there a couple of times during our 4 night stay. Hotel bar is okay. Selection of liquor is limited but the bar staff was excellent. Housekeeping came to our room at 8:30 am one morning which was too early. We asked them to come back later, which they never did.

Marriott needs to remove this hotel from its portfolio. It is nowhere near typical for the brand. The ONLY reason I give it a 2/5 is because (some) of the employees were very nice and helpful - especially the agent I was app chatting with after checkout (management, please recognize him or her), and also my breakfast server Yasmine. 1. Unpleasant check-in - this agent was not friendly and rushed through the check in faster than I have ever seen. I had to ask about my breakfast coupons (as a titanium), and after being "reminded" of that, he told me to come back each day for new coupons for the next day. I really don't understand that inconvenience; every Marriott I've ever been to just gives me one coupon for the whole stay, or one for each day. I don't think he looked up at me once. 2. Signs everywhere scolding you to pay for your parking - it is indeed ridiculous they charge for parking, but since they have no control mechanism for that, they seem to unprofessionally put it on the guests. Rather than pulling a ticket or relying on gates, they just put signs everywhere yelling at you to make sure you pay. It makes you feel very resented. 3. Rooms are disgusting - this is well covered in other reviews. From the 90s maybe. Dark, worn, damaged, and generally gross feeling. Not anywhere near marriott standards. I am glad you have a renovation planned, but the reminders of that don't really help at the moment. 4. Club lounge closed on weekends - literally one of the reasons I stayed here, as I wanted to enjoy my access as a titanium member. No warning in advance that it's closed on weekends, nothing on the app or website. That is a Marriott guaranteed benefit that they are supposed to compensate for if unavailable, but the hotel doesn't care about that (more on that next). 5. Late checkout for Titanium member denied - Again, this is a guaranteed benefit, not "on request". I was told that they "just weren't doing that this weekend". It's a contractually guaranteed benefit that Marriott offers. They could not care less. Literally, another reason I stayed here; if I knew it wasn't possible I would have went to the holiday inn. 6. Unpleasant check-out - When she asked "how was everything?" and I responded "Not great" she didn't even look up, didn't inquire further, just said "have a nice day" and sent me on my way. I guess it makes sense. 7. Computer system to email folio doesn't work - this is where the friendly agent helped me out, and I appreciate it, but your technology doesn't send the bill after checkout. Unfortunately, that means I'm probably not getting a Marriott survey on email either, and my only option is to leave a TripAdvisor review. Overall - bad facilities, bad policies, and lots of apathetic staff (with some exceptions). If the club lounge is closed, and if you "just don't do" late checkouts during busy weekends, you should probably put a disclaimer on the website, or email guests in advance. They will choose to stay elsewhere. Th

I was there for a work conference and on the last day someone from housekeeping took all of my perfumes. The girl in the front told me they were aware this was happening. I completed a report and was told they would reach out to me the next day and they never did. Would not recommend at all.

This hotel is not up to the quality I expect from Marriott. In hindsight I wish I would have stayed elsewhere. 1. I guess the elevator has been broken for weeks since others referenced it in prior recent reviews. 2. You must take the service elevator to get to your room. 3. My room smells like chemicals. 4. The room is so outdated with old worn out furniture, dirty and torn carpet. I will not take my shoes off except in bed and I put them on the go to the bathroom. 5. I can clearly hear the conversation in the room next door. 6. It is very hot in my room although the air is on. Right now the only positive thing is the front desk. They are polite and apologetic but they can’t move me to a different room. I regret staying here and should have stayed elsewhere.

Well, it's definitely under renovation!!! Maybe it will be better after the renovation is complete. I think it feels like what WAS once a nice hotel, and could potentially be again. First night, no A/C. It was soooo hot. The crew came and worked on it. I opened the window and survived the night. They moved me to a new room the next night. A/C was loud in the new room, but at least it worked. Everything feels kind of run down, but they have lots of pictures about the remodel. One of the elevators stopped working for a while one night, which in a 10 story hotel is a big deal. One the good side, the conceirge lounge on the tenth floor had nice people working. They had interesting options for dinner / dessert. Breakfast was OK, but nothing special. Fresh Fruit is a nice plus over standard breakfasts at Residence Inn or whatever. Location is nice depending on where you are going. It is pretty far north, which is great depending on what you trying to get to (i.e. it's easier to get to Santa Fe or north ABQ. I'd give them a year (i.e. at least 2025) to get the renovations done and see if they can get it back to nice hotel. Right now, it's a formerly nice hotel that is definitely showing it's age.

The room was advertised as “near the elevator”, but it was a good 30-40 doors away from the elevator. The A/C didn’t work properly. The pull out couch was broken in the middle. Come breakfast time they wanted us to pay $22 per person for the breakfast buffet on top of our already over $200 dollar room. They said the complimentary breakfast was for “titanium platinum” members only. That breakfast buffet was the exact same as every complimentary breakfast I’ve eaten at any other rival hotel or even other Marriott branch. Total rip off. We won’t be staying here again.

Pool closed and elevator broken. Asked for directions to pool and front desk person pointed it out not saying it was closed. Returned to desk and told him why I booked here. No resolution to problem because manager is not in till tomorrow, front desk person said. Calling corporate and they are saying 5 business days for some sort of compensation.

I have never read so many bad reviews of this hotel. Fortunately, my husband and I had a good experience with it. We were there from June 20-24, 20024. He was attending a meeting and I mainly stayed around the hotel doing whatever I wanted to do. I did have an issue with my room key, but the staff took care of it quickly. I did enjoy one particular server in the dining room, named Benjamin. He was most attentive and fun to visit with. The food was pricy but good.

0 stars. We booked via Priceline and it was stated this hotel was a 3 star hotel which it is very clearly not. For one night we were charged $170+. Upon arrival the air conditioning did not work and our room was almost 80 degrees. The emergency exit located next to our room did not allow you to exit only enter which is a major safety hazard which we alerted the staff to and it was never addressed. We had to have maintenance come twice to try to fix the air which it never cooled. We had to then switch to another room which never fully cooled off either and had to order a fan up to the room. In this room the sink did not drain. Everything was outdated and subpar for the pricing and star rating. I reached out to Priceline for a refund after our horrible stay and the hotel declined the refund. I would warn everyone to not stay at this hotel or use Priceline for your bookings
