Really good. It is a hotel with a good location and a kitchen, so you can cook. It's all heating and cooling. Breakfast is also delicious. There is also a large mart close by.

The location is near residential area and is peaceful and quiet. Our room and balcony faces a not very pretty lot but it didn’t matter so much as we weren’t in the room much of the day. The room was clean and the kitchen very well equipped with utensils and appliances. the sofa bed sheets had some hair which was not too pleasant.
On one of the mornings, the electricity went out for 30 minutes but luckily it wasn’t too hot at that time.
As it was September, the hotel was fairly quiet most of the time although the front desk told us they were fully booked.
There were supermarkets nearly so it was convenient to get food and drinks, and there is a couple of very good Portuguese restaurants within walking distance.

Lovely hotel, with very friendly staff, superb grounds that are in very good condition. Good restaurant, although we were on a self catering basis. Our bedroom was lovely although a pool side room look better, street traffic can be heard from our room during night. Our only disappointment that the hotel could control was that Sauna and Steam room unavailable. Rooms are cleaned with fresh towels daily.

Een leuk hotel. Wij hadden een drie kamer appartement. Zeer leuk een beetje veroudert maar goed ingedeeld, alles aanwezig maar spijtig van de kleine terrasjes, het was onmogelijk om met vier op het terras te eten. Wij hadden twee kleine terrasjes, maar omdat dit een appartement is voor maximaal 6 tot 8 personen zijn de terrasjes veel te klein. Zelfs indien er beslist wordt om appart op de twee kleine terrasjes te zitten. De liggen is daarentegen zelf goed dicht bij het centrum en de *****. Alles op wandelafstand te bereiken. 1 ding storend maar is niets aan te doen, de haan van de buren hield ons vanaf twee uur.

We stayed for one week in Feb25. From the moment we arrived we found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, all communal areas were immaculately kept and our room was exactly as described, in excellent decorative order and kept very clean by the maids. We ate in the Xeirus Restaurant twice. The a la carte was excellent but we were slightly disappointed at the Portuguese buffet as it didn’t feel very authentically Portuguese. The wine included in the buffet price was excellent however and on both occasions the waiting staff were truly excellent; very engaging and couldn’t do enough for us (especially our granddaughter). The only downside was Albufeira itself. I have travelled to the Algarve numerous times in the last 30 years but never to Albufeira, sensing that it would be too commercialised and tacky. My instinct was right, it in no way compares to the other places I’ve visited such as Lagos, Luz, Burgau or Tavira. A couple of streets in and around Albufeira Old Town were admittedly lovely. This is clearly not the hotel’s fault however hence the 5* review. We had a great holiday nevertheless, being selective on bars/cafes/restaurants visited and using a hire car to visit some of the areas mentioned above.

Agréable séjour à la Vila Petra. Une atmosphère paisible et accueillante. Nous avions pris la formule " pension complète ". Nous n avons pas été déçus. Repas gastronomique le soir servi par des serveurs impeccables et chaleureux. Une accueil très chaleureux de l équipe d animation du Club enfant egalement. On reviendra volontiers.

This hotel is amazing. Their main assets are their staff, especially the reception team, who are the most approachable, helpful people we’ve ever experienced in a hotel. We had a problem with golf clubs being delivered and they went out of their way to help us. We spent three wonderful weeks at this hotel and would definitely return. The apartment was very comfortable with everything you needed. Absolutely spotless and cleaned every day to a high standard. In fact the whole hotel was like that. Thank you all for a wonderful break.
