"Love your setting, beautiful rooms. Bar and service in the bar need working on. Some staff,not all take far to long,many times had to go and search for someone to serve. Then we had to stand queueing because of build up of guess. Restaurant, 9 times out of 10 food not hot enough,many times just left it. Staff in restaurant work really hard. Last time we stayed here, many years ago,when it was a proper Restaurant up stairs food was excellent.Grounds and pools are excellent,kept beautiful.Staff do your hotel credit.Just work on the bar."

"First impressions were excellent; beautiful gardens and pool area, total tranquillity, friendly receptionist, welcome drink on the terrace. However on being shown to the room we were hugely disappointed. Although large and spacious it seemed damp and was cold (even though it was 25° outside). We had to ask for a heater! The furniture on the terrace (which overlooked a few olive trees and what I can only describe as a pile of rubble) was old and damp, you certainly wouldn’t want to sit on it with or without a pretty view. We ate in the restaurant in the evening after an aperitif in the garden. A nice touch would be to put candles on the tables in the garden. Once in the restaurant we were absolutely ignored for a while until someone finally came to show us to our table. The service started out being good but then became sporadic. Finesse was certainly lacking in a restaurant of this standard. We were left to pour our own wine, the food was not of a quality one would expect of an establishment at this level, there were no finger bowls to cleanse hands after de-shelling prawns, coffee was not offered and by the end we felt somewhat cheated. On the whole a rather disappointing stay. "

"I had a lovely stay at Menorca Experimental. The property is beautiful and interiors are impeccable throughout. Swimming pool is lovely. Dinner menu is good and the vibe on the outdoor terrace area is great. Lunch menu is limited and nothing special. I have no complaints about my stay overall as I enjoyed it - staff were sufficiently friendly, but I wouldn't say the service here blows your mind nor do they go out of their way to make you feel warmly welcomed. It was my 30th birthday celebration on the weekend I stayed here and none of the staff noticed (despite my sister, who made the booking, telling them in advance). Location of hotel is in the middle of nowhere and if you aren't driving yourself/renting a car, you will have to rely on expensive taxis to get around the island otherwise there is nothing to really do in the vicinity of the hotel."

"We arrived at this hotel when we got there we waited 20 minutes for reception staff who were talking then they growled your room won't be ready until 3.The room was very basic no kettle etc emergency sign in the bathroom it was still there when we left. My husband is partially sighted and there was no signs on the windows and a tiny grab rail in the bathroom , Food was not labelled so it was difficult for any one to know what is what. Drinks watered down and you have to pay €1as a deposit for a plastic glass, as for the beach once you climb down 180 steps blink and you will miss it ,,,I would rate the hotel 2***(I am a travel agent) It was disgusting how people were treated"

"Positives -Pool areas - lots of sun beds with shade. Large main pool and a toddler area with slides. All kept very clean and tidy. -The beach is lovely, perfect for families. The water is very shallow and clear and only a short walk from the hotel. -Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. -Very family focused - small sink in bathrooms, kids section of the buffet, mascot/characters, kids club, pony rides. Out 3 year old was very happy here. -Good service all round. The staff work very hard and were polite and helpful. Negatives -With it being a family resort, the 2 buffet restaurants were very loud and at times overwhelming. -The food was just ok. We were expecting it to be much better based on the reviews. -There were lots of flies in La Basilica restaurant which was pretty off-putting. -Lots of noise until around 10.15pm from the stage. It didn't bother us, but I can imagine it might bother some people. If so, request a room away from the reception area. Tips -A tea towel, washing up liquid, washing up sponge, hand soap, shampoo and body wash are all provided, so no need to pack your own if you need that extra bit of space. -There are sunbeds to hire on the beach but they're expensive. We paid £25 for 2 beds and a parasol. Buy a beach parasol for around 15 euro if you plan on visiting the beach a lot, it'll save you a lot of money. Check if any have been left by previous holiday makers before you go and buy one. They have baskets with things like pool floats, buckets and spades and parasols to reuse."

"Amagatay you were the most luxurious breath of fresh air! I hosted a retreat at the hotel for 10 guests, I cannot speak more highly of the hotel, it is one of the most tranquil settings I have been to. The staff go above and beyond, you can see and feel how passionate and proud they are, nothing was ever too much trouble, it was noted by all my guests. The rooms are just delightful, beds extremely comfortable, products are divine, the decor all in keeping with their slow, calm pace, you can't help but relax as soon as you arrive. We loved the little buggy to pick us up and I'm missing the exquisite bird song every morning! I haven't even mentioned the food, creative, delicious and farm to table was the icing on the cake. I would absolutely return, thank you Amagatay for everything...."

"Good and tranquil location, however the facilities are quite dated (e.g. rusty light fixtures, pealing bathroom cabinets, junky elevator). This does vary between buildings as I noticed the main building (reception area) is newly renovated and decorated. Although the cleaner came in everyday, towels and sheets were not changed (we stayed for five days). Seems like it’s a very basic clean as some spots were missed like surfaces and even the floors (we couldn’t walk barefoot as we’d get stuff stuck to the bottom of our feet). Not huge issues but morewas expected from a 4 star establishment."

"our children have bought a voucher for a menù degustaciòn & cata de vino to celebrate our 40th anniversary of wedding. Upon our arrival we asked what the menu was including in terms of wine and the waitress told us with nonchalance that we could take a bottle of wine. We have chosen one of your Torralbenc white wines, which honestly speaking was not what we expected from a location and wine maker such as you're supposed to be. On top of that, boh waitresses had major difficulties explaining every dish course which made the experience even more difficult. We must say that this experience was rather disappointing both in terms of food and wine. Nobody told us that we paid a surcharge to taste more than only one wine - at least the experience could have been a bit more exciting. Anyhow, be sure that we will not recommend your location."

Too bad we had to call a number to find out our room and the door code because the lady/gentleman at reception was not at his desk (all week) even though we arrived at 1 p.m. and reception is normally open until 3 p.m. In addition, there was no fridge in the room and a window in the bathroom. Very good value for money !"

"The hotel hasn't changed its location so all's good in that respect. What has changed is the quality of the food and drinks, especially if you opt for all inclusive and the staff, they didn't seem to fussed about helping you. The quality and variety in the restaurant, especially lunch and evening were in my opinion below the standard I'd expect from a one star hotel, never mind three. We were their last year 2025 and the high overall rating the hotel was well deserved when it was under Seth ownership. Unfortunately our trip this year 2026 did not go so well. Staff just shrugged when asked anything but the simplest of queries. A glass of Sangria is according to them red wine and sprite or Fanta lemon. The food was that bad we ate out after trying it for two days. We opted to "upgrade" to a bungalow, please take our warning and don't. The patio door runners were square, not round, the shower one minute was cold, the next scalding, flush the loo and the sink tap stopped so you had to wait to wash your hands. I could go on, but I'll leave you to imagine how bad it could be, then let you know it was worse."

"We returned to this family friendly hotel for a 2nd time as grandparents with the grandchildren returning for a fourth consecutive visit. ALL the staff are very friendly and helpful in all areas. Food had plenty of variety in both restaurants with the children loving the idea of serving themselves. Rooms are well equipped with a free safe included.My only disappointment was the mattress - too soft.The room was cleaned every day. Pools were great with the large one heated with lots of sunbeds available.The small pirate pool opened at 10am and filled up quickly and was not heated.There is a new splashpad in kiko land which opens twice per day. Bars have a great choice of drinks for ai guests with ice cream and lollies readily available. All the areas in the hotel are immaculately clean but be careful on the many tiled floors if it rains. Outside in son bou there are three or four bars and restaurants and was very quiet in may.The beach is a lovely sandy one with lifegaurds on duty. Overall we would not hesitate to return again next year.Highly recommend if you have young children ie up to ten years of age"
