Very good 3 star hotel by Egyptian standards. Nice facilities and rooms according to the price. Best of all was the attention of Ahmed, who welcomed us with complimentary tea and coffee, was very attentive at all times and helped us with lunch and transportation to the Valley of the Kings and the airport. The hotel does not serve lunch, only breakfast. It has a beautiful roof terrace from where you can see Hatshepsut and the hot air balloons in the morning. It has a small minimarket/bakery around the corner with snacks, drinks and personal hygiene items, ask carefully about the price of things before buying (for reference, a boxed juice or an Oreo costs £10 Egyptian pounds). Recommendations: 1. the hotel is on the west coast, about 300 meters from where the public ferry drops you off (which only costs £10 Egyptian pounds for tourists) so it is advisable to take a taxi (it cost us £450 Egyptian pounds ) from the airport to the ferry and cross and walk those streets, although half of that stretch is a dirt road. At night it can be scary to walk there, but we noticed that the local people know each other and there is no danger. 2. If you want to make your life easier, ask Ahmed for a personal driver, who is also called Ahmed and lives nearby and is reliable. We paid $30 dollars to take us to the valley of the kings, colossi and hapshetsut and he waited for us as long as we wanted, in addition to giving us an explanation of the entire place while he drove. I recommend it to walk relaxed without waiting to be scammed by other taxi drivers. 3. The room only comes with a towel and does not have a hair dryer, but you simply have to ask Ahmed and he will provide them. 4. We had to battle a few mosquitoes in the room, but nothing that couldn't be handled. Obviously it is not something that is in the hands of the hotel, since we are very close to the Nile River and it is obvious that there will be mosquitoes. The room was generally clean and free of housekeeping bugs. 100% recommended, if I returned to Luxor I would stay there again.
