I went to Äkäslompolo to run the Nuts Ylläs Pallas 37km and chose the hotel for its proximity to the starting line.
The hotel needs some renovation, but despite the bad reviews it was overall better than I expected. Staff was super helpful and friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable (a must before and after a race), the private sauna was amazing and cherry on top, breakfast was absolutely delicious and with a wide range of choice!

Accueil sympathique, réception agréable avec une petite boutique de souvenirs .Chambre de bonne taille à rénover ,matelas taché.Chambre sur l'arrière de l'hôtel avec une vue ...sur les poubelles.Salle de bains avec sauna et douche italienne agréables. Pour la partie restauration les buffets sont très variés et copieux dans une très jolie salle avec vue panoramique . Propreté de l'établissement très correcte.

Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve, une organisation au top avec le club jumbo, aux petits soins, l'équipement grand froid est vraiment un +, les activités juste magiques avec une super organisation ! L'hôtel est idéalement situé, buffet généreux, personnel adorable.

A deux pas du village, hôtel tres confortable. Salle à manger panoramique, chambre correcte avec un plus : sauna dans la salle de bain. Repas sous forme de buffet, bons et variés. Nous avons passé une semaine magique, personnel agréable et surtout merci aux animateurs et guides du club.

I'd heard such a mixer of reviews about this hotel which made me worried about what I'd arrive to. But it's such a lovely, cosy hotel. It has a small gift shop with souvenirs. The restaurant is large with a large a good selection of food even for fussy eaters. The staff were really helpful and there was a kids club in the evening which my daughter loved. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from restaurants, supermarket and shops and just behind the shops is the frozen lake. The only downside is the stairs in the family rooms, they are very steep and did worry me but as long as the kids are careful it's fine. We are returning to the same hotel again this year because we loved it so much and we can't wait.

Hôtel très bien situé. Très propre. Les repas du petit déjeuner au diner étaient absolument très corrects et variés. Cependant 2 bémol : 1er vendredi soir dernier jour du séjour du renne était prévu au menu mais ce dernier a été changé à la dernière minute ; 2eme il faisait un peu froid dans la salle de restauration. Concernant l animation du club Jumbo rien à dire ! Le couple qui en avait la charge a été très professionnel ; à l écoute ; présent et très disponible. Je recommande vivement cet endroit et y reviendrais sans aucune retissance

L' Hôtel est bien placé dans les hauteurs d'Akaslompolo. L'ambiance y est cosy et les chambres sont confortables. Les activités proposées sont géniales et les guides et animateurs supers gentils et disponibles. Le restaurant est très bien, avec un grand choix.
