Ho prenotato l'albergo ai primi di Settembre prenotando una camera superiore con vista giardino e prima colazione. Dopo circa 10 giorni mi è arrivata una mail in cui mi si avvertiva che l'hotel era in fase di ristrutturazione,che ci sarebbero stati lavori che comunque non avrebbero creato problemi. Arrivati mi hanno dato una camera superiore con vista cantiere e piscina, non giardino. La camera a mio giudizio era obsoleta e l'ascensore pieno di polvere. La notte sono stato disturbato da qualcuno che russava e da rumori provenienti dalle altre camere, vale a dire insonorizzazione non al meglio. La prima colazione,pagata a parte, non era a livello 5 stelle. Ho avuto infine problemi a farmi capire perché il mio inglese era deficitario e nessuno parlava italiano. I lavori di ristrutturazione, se uno rimaneva in camera dopo le nove del mattino, si sentivano molto .Le note positive sono state la gentilezza del personale, veramente disponibile, ma soprattutto il ristorante dell'albergo a mio giudizio eccezionale sia per la bravura degli chef che per la gentilezza e professionalità del personale, con un conto finale giusto per il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Nel complesso un soggiorno con più ombre che luci , bisognerebbe forse tornarci dopo che tutti i lavori di rifacimento saranno finiti.

Le Pigonnet is a charming luxurious hotel currently going through an extensive and expensive refurbishment which in our opinion the excellent management and staff are handling with aplomb and refurb rarely bothering guests . We stayed for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back . The bar staff / outside restaurant deserve particular mention . Can’t wait to go back .

Just loved staying here, very civilised and relaxing. Staff were great and the food wonderful. Nice location for walking into town and the pool was just right for the warm days. Aix was great to explore with the lovely markets and a real mix of places to eat. Really looking forward to coming back.

We just returned from an overnight stay at the hotel and were very glad it was only one night. The August review below is not reality as we experienced it. Rather the July review was basically our experience. This hotel should not be open and the staff all know it. As described, this is a construction site. The emails we received in advance in no way accurately conveyed the extent of the situation. When we checked in along with a friend, the AC in her room wasn’t working. She called to complain and someone showed up with a fan. She finally got them to give her a different room. Our room was in the building adjacent to the pool. When we returned at 8:30PM after dinner out (our booked dinner at the hotel was canceled as a result of thunderstorms since it had to be outdoors), there were no lights from the driveway around the pool to the entrance to our building. The paved area around the pool was flooded. Breakfast was delivered to our room but there was not any comfortable or reasonable place to put the food for two of us to eat. One positive note - it was delivered on time and was fine. Bottom line: the staff is doing the best they can but clearly the corporation who owns and manages this hotel only wants the money and isn’t concerned about their reputation.

Het is een hotel tussen 2/3 sterren en niet 5sterren mens in de maling nemen . Kamer klassiek is niet te doen de lieft is van jaar 0. De restaurant alleen maar wachten enz.. Hoe kan dat wie controleerde sterren ?? En alle boomen in de tuin hebben zieker en niet onderhouden.

Quelle douceur de farniente dans cet hôtel. Disons-le, nous sommes dans Aix, à 10 min du centre et à côté de route que l'on entend absolument pas. Oui, certains travaux sont en cours d'embellissement qui n'offre pas la table pour le moment, mais la piscine est un havre de paix, le personnel est au soin pour nous, le restaurant éphémère dans les jardins avec une offre estivale en fraîcheur et des plat de partage. le gros plus les jardins, quel plaisir de lire sous les cigales. La chambre tout à fait convenable, propre et un accès aux piscines privées au top. On ne peut pas tout avoir en un clic, mais cela donne envie de revenir pour vivre le pigeonner 2.0 à fond à la reprise total. Merci au staff, le prix peut-être légèrement un peu haut au vu de l'embellissement en cours.

A wonderful stop on our Olympic journey to parts of France. Nice and helpful staff, with great recommendations for sightseeing and meals. The hotel gardens and pool are beautiful and made us feel like we were in a special place. Breakfast in the garden was a great way to start the day. Easy walk to Aix center. All that plus a comfortable room made for a special stay. Highly recommended.
