Visited this place in August 2022. Was a bit worried when I read the below review that it was closed. I called them and they said they were open so decided to bite the bullet and go there. In normal circumstances I would pick hotel but due to dietary requirements of a family member we decided on a self catering apartment. The other reason for picking this was due to the proximity to the beach. Was only 5 mins walk as we planned to spend most our time there. We arrived late in the evening and the place was informed of this, however when we arrived a big group of us the staff seemed surprised. It took almost 1 hour to find us the rooms we booked. Before checking in I asked if I can view the rooms, good job we did. The rooms were disgusting. Toilet not working. Cement all over the place like it was falling apart. It smelt of damp and was just awful. The floor soaking yet and the bath dirty. No cooking utensils and no wifi. We have family in Agadir so we decided we would stay with them and go back in the morning as the Member of staff said he would allocate some other rooms. In the morning we went back only to be given the same room. It was a joke. The man at reception explained how the hotel had been closed and the owner just one day decided to open it up even though the rooms looked like a bomb had hit it. Only one person spoke English. He was good enough to cancel the booking without charge. The hotel seems to be busy but with locals and maybe they think this type of accommodation is ok, we certainly did not. Never again. Being the middle of august it was hard to find a budget friendly hotel. We were lucky enough to stay with family as they had a big enough house. I did visit the Intouriste and Tislet. These had lovely rooms with lovely grounds. Overall the Ougadar is a no no and I’m sure in its heyday it was a great place as it does have potential but to be honest I don’t think it’s suitable as it is. The staff tried to help the best they could and were quite embarrassed with the situation. For us. Never again. Also they place only takes cash, no card payment. Luckily this didn’t spoil our holiday in Agadir as it was wonderful and the people are so friendly and hospitable. Will visit Agadir again but not the Ougadar apartments!!

I don't like giving negative reviews, rather I don't do it if I wasn't happy. But for the Ygoudar hotel in Agadir, I want to help others with their choice. It is a large hotel residence structure, with swimming pools, restaurant and wi fi. It's a shame about how it's managed. We stayed there for 3 days and from the moment we entered and saw cockroaches as big as thumbnails, ants, spiders, flies and other insects we thought we couldn't make it. Then, with the mosquito plate and cockroach slippers we resisted. The bathroom area had not been taken care of for decades. Vater cracked and dirty, sink cracked, rusty cast iron pipes at the joint with the tap in the tub. And very serious: there was no soap, toilet paper or towels. We had booked through the bed & breakfast agency. To have breakfast on the first day we waited 40 minutes, the second an hour and the third 30 minutes. Dirty tablecloths that always turn the other way, full of crumbs, there is no possibility of serving yourself. Bread and croissants exposed to flies, which are cut on the spot, a waiter who has just coughed on them or who has previously collected the napkins and dirty plates. About ten waiters who create endless waiting times for about fifteen people. Maybe it's normal for them, maybe they don't have a guide and they try to orient themselves as best they can. However, they are all young, from the girls who "clean", I don't know what they do in the rooms because the dust has reigned for who knows when, the bathroom fixtures are really dirty with urine and other things, the mirrors that you can't see, under the beds everything, so much so the insects enter, in the courtyard so many dry leaves from under which cockroaches escaped in the evening, which then you also find yourself in the room. Very very sorry, because we toured quite a lot of cities in Morocco and nowhere did we not find all this. Not even in desert tents.

I was with my family on this stay… Having booked on booking 2 months before, on our arrival we realized that the hotel had put more apartments online than it had!!! When we arrived, the receptionist (very unpleasant and unprofessional) told us that everything necessary would be done to give us a room quickly. Someone went to clean several apartments that were clearly abandoned so we could go to the apartments. The cleaning was catastrophic, very rustic, disappointing, it smelled musty. They probably hadn't recovered from Covid or whatever. No wifi, no breakfast, nothing. Only positive points: very well located hotel, a swimming pool that is average but at least present.

First of all I advise everyone to avoid this uninhabitable building as you can see in the photos My problem with this hotel is serious... I paid through bookig.com on 26 July 2022 and received the invoice by email, but the stay was from 04 /08/2022 to 06/08/2022 and upon my arrival at the check-in they told me to pay 150€ in local currency, but the change from them costs 1€= 10DH dirham they are thieves because in the bank. Change costs 1€=10.20 DH I told her that I have the invoice and I paid, they didn't want to know and they want payment in cash not even with a credit or debit card, I paid and went with their receptionist reseption to see and confirm the room, after paying and confirming room 331, I went away for lunch with my children and my wife, when I returned to carry the luggage up I found that they had assigned the same room to another family and when I opened the door I found the woman of the other family almost naked. The staff is absolutely not suitable for working in tourism and the structure is not even suitable for animals. I made the complaint to the local police in Agadir
