Maltings Hotel

A strange hotel that doesn't offer or ask about breakfast on registration. Then went to the restaurant at 6.20pm to be told it was closed. Room ok. In morning, went for breakfast and place was all locked up. Left key, as requested, on counter and departed. Communications afterwards said breakfast had to be ordered though no mention on registration. Apologised for evening meal refusal. Sorry, I'm just not able to recommend this hotel.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. What can I say, mouldy shower, ceiling just about falling in, bed like concrete and could feel every spring, dirty glasses, dirty carpet, paint coming off walls, decor like a 1970s motel, threadbare towels. On the plus side food was good, staff helpful. Do not ever stay here!!

Booked in July for September overnight stay. Payment was taken 2nd August. They contacted me by email a few days before the stay saying I had cancelled. Phone conversation revealed rooms were being refurbished. 2 weeks on and I still haven't received a refund.

My hotel room was dusty and dirty. No WiFi as advertised and no T.V signal. Poor tea and coffee facilities in the room. The hosts stated that they needed to renovate the rooms which was acceptable but the items and room should have been cleaned before guests were allowed in.

Absolutely shocking hotel, booked for a gig back in July for a gig in august & they cancelled the day before because it was shut for a refurb, told I would get an automatic refund and I’m still waiting! Over 2 weeks now, been contacting constantly told someone would be in contact and they never have. As a business owner myself I would never ever treat my customers the way they have treated me. I will never ever step foot in this hotel and will be spreading the word to everyone I know to avoid this hotel at all costs!!!

Absolute joke. Booked a room for one night a couple of weeks in advance. Turned up to be told that they weren’t accepting bookings as the rooms are getting done up. The woman refused to believe that my booking had been confirmed, even after showing her my confirmation email. No apology or admitting that they were in the wrong. Couldn’t find another room nearby as everything else was fully booked. Useless.
