Coffee is served free of charge at the reception downstairs. We managed to see fuji from the window of our room. The staff is very friendly, the onsen is clean and full of necessary care products. I would especially like to mention the breakfasts-they are simply excellent, especially the French bread toasts from the picture-just bliss! I would love to come back again"

"This 40-year-old hotel is incredibly well-maintained and has a charming, cozy, vintage vibe. We opted for a Mount Fuji view room, and if the weather cooperates, you get stunning views of Fuji-san. Hotel guests also have access to the nearby hot spring baths, about a five-minute walk away, though a heads-up: those with tattoos are not permitted. The breakfast spread is fantastic, offering a wide variety of both Japanese and Western options. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the entrance of Fuji-Q Highland amusement park, and there's a fantastic Italian restaurant downstairs. The food there is absolutely delicious – I went three times during my two-day stay! Highly recommend it."

"Right outside the hotel is Lake Yamanaka, which is quieter and more affordable than Lake Kawaguchiko. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants around that stay open late, so you don't have to worry about finding food at night. This means there's no real need to book dinner with your stay. The buffet dinner wasn't anything special, though the fruit was quite good. It's a bit of a distance to Fuji-Q Highland and Lake Kawaguchiko if you're coming from abroad, taking about an hour by bus."

"Thank you. It was a very nice building, and the inn that responded was also a very soft person. The inn was like a salon where you can drink tea during the day, and I couldn't get there because I didn't have time, but it was a nice atmosphere. I liked my family very much and said I would like to come again, so if you have a chance in the future, thank you."

It was excellent. I would like to go back again and stay more longer. We did as a family two nights in three days. We had a breakfast and evening dinner, the hot spring was very good. It makes my skin very nice. I had an allergy, but my allergy is healed because of the hot spring.

It was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.

Pros: 1. The room was huge! 2. You get a full view of Mount Fuji right from the balcony window. 3. The staff were super friendly, and they even had Chinese-speaking staff members. 4. The hot springs on the fifth floor have both indoor and outdoor options. You can enjoy the views of Mount Fuji while you soak. 5. Both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were surprisingly delicious, and there was a good variety too. 6. They offer a shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. Just make sure to look for the shuttle with three hotel names printed on it. You'll need to remember the hotel's English name to identify it correctly, otherwise, you might end up waiting a long time at the station. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Mount Fuji!

Hotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2  weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji.

This onsen hotel by Lake Kawaguchiko offers stunning views of Mount Fuji from the room. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the train station in the morning, which is convenient as it's a bit of a walk. For the best photo opportunities of Mount Fuji, head a short distance to the right of the hotel.

When I booked, I double-checked with the hotel to confirm that the room would have a window directly facing Lake Kawaguchiko, as well as another window with a view of Mount Fuji. However, upon entering the room, I found there was only one window, and I had to crane my neck to catch a glimpse of Lake Kawaguchiko. The room next door (X11) clearly had one window directly facing the lake and another with a Mount Fuji view. Why weren't we given that room? We booked in early to mid-May, and we even arrived at the hotel before 4 PM on the day of check-in. On top of that, the bathroom in our room was ridiculously small; even an average-sized woman, let alone a man, would struggle to close the door once inside 😂. This was also my first time staying at a Japanese onsen hotel where almost 80% of the staff were non-Japanese, which probably explains why most of the guests were Westerners 🤣. And it was also my first time at an onsen hotel where there were absolutely no skincare products in the onsen area. Were they perhaps so afraid of 'foreigners' misusing them that they stopped providing them altogether?? 🥹

Excellent hotel with a view of Lake Kawaguchiko. The room is quite spacious, and the staff is very welcoming. The hotel has an onsen, which is essentially a sauna and a hot spring pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of cycling. We booked a room with breakfast and dinner included, both served buffet style. For those not used to eating fish, rice, and other Japanese cuisine in the morning, there are also European croissants, jams, and coffee available. For dinner, the buffet features unlimited crab, but you'll have to contend with the Japanese guests for the crab claws – it seemed to me they choose this hotel specifically for that reason! The cable car is just 30 meters from the hotel, which will take you up a small mountain with a great view of Mount Fuji. It's also quite close to the bus station, about a 10-12 minute walk.

We spent our anniversary with my girlfriend in Kaneyamaen, and our experience was above and beyond. Starting with the shuttle option provided by the hotel from Mishima station, which also took us to Oshino hakkai, what a gorgeous place, before ending up at the hotel. We were really satisfied of our driver who shared facts about Yamanashi prefecture and Fuji. Our check-in process was also a really nice experience. From the moment we arrived we felt the hospitality of the hotel service crew. They escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage. Staying at a Sanri-Comfort Western Room, we had access to 2 lounges, where in one of them we had access to many kind of amazing wine from Yamanashi, among other tasty snacks. We choose our yukata and headed for matcha tasting. This is located in another part of the building which also gives us a peak at the wonderful garden. The matcha and snack we received helped us settle in with the calm garden view. Then came dinner. My god, the dinner was above and beyond. Neither of us had an 8 course dinner before with such a perfect service and absolutely amazing food. Hats of to the restaurant and service crew. Truly impressed. We decided to walk of the calories in the hotels beautiful garden at night. The illumination creates a really romantic experience. After this, we attended the Taiko drum show, which is organized by the hotel crew. First time for me and I can say it definitely made our experience even more special. Fantastic work. Then the star of the show. The open-air bath on the balcony. The sight of Mt. Fuji early morning from the bath, was a magical experience which we'll never forget. The buffet breakfast provides a great selection of food and drinks, rest assured we left very pleased. All in all, this was an extraordinary stay for us. Nothing but max points. Wish we'll have the chance to visit again.

The room was quite spacious, but it definitely felt a bit dated. The service and dining were just average; there's definitely room for improvement in both those areas! The views of Mount Fuji were beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see it two mornings in a row during the summer. That's about it.
