"The room is big with all the amenities. Our room is facing the sea, we were able to see the sun rise, super gorgeous! The onsen is also great, free for us, and it is open to the public with surcharge. The hostel location is 10/10, close to the Aoshima island, and there is a big park nearby! We enjoyed our stay."

"I only stayed for one night, but I had an amazing experience. My Japanese is very limited, but the owner and me communicated in a mix of English and Japanese and I felt very welcome. The small bus of the ryokan brought me together with other guests to a Kagura performance in the evening. It was one of the highlights of my trip!
The location of the ryokan is very close to the shrine and the best place to stay for a cultural significant experience. I hope I can come back in the future!"

"It was written as Yamakawa cuisine centered on river fish, so I was not good at river fish, so I made a plan with breakfast, but for breakfast, Miyazaki's local rice was cooked according to the meal time and it was delicious. I was able to eat rice. There was coffee after meals.
The bath seems to be of rare spring quality due to the slightly carbonated component of the iron spring. It is quite crowded in the evening because it is used not only by guests but also by the general public. It is recommended that you enter by staggering time"

The hotel is beautiful and it has great amenities (top restaurants including a high ranked steakhouse,, an amazing bakery, a gym, hot spring, laundry room and several stores including a kimono rental store. The hotel is located close to malls and the subway station. The staff are very kind and are always willing to assist even if they are not proficient in English . The breakfast buffet is also great and was included in my reservation. Visiting the steakhouse is a must , it is a tad pricey but worth the expenditure. Miyazaki is known for its beef and chicken. My only negative comment pertains to showers in the standard rooms (there are three kinds of rooms). The showers are very dated, have a weird smell and the shower heads are what you would normally find in a bathroom from the 70s. The rooms are spacious and clean. However, if I had known the showers and tub were so old I would have upgraded to a deluxe room. Overall the hotel is great and it is well priced for its amenities.

I’ve stayed in the twin bedroom several times before, but this was my first time staying in this type of room.
Although the building is old, it was clean and well-maintained.
The bedding was a simple futon-style setup with a mattress laid directly on the floor, but it was very comfortable and I had no issues sleeping.
Since the windows are covered only with shoji screens, light comes in from outside at night, and it gets quite bright early in the morning as well. I’m sensitive to light, so I used an eye mask while sleeping.
As for noise, nothing in particular bothered me, and I was able to stay comfortably.

AazheThe hotel is a bit out of the way, but the environment is great, with a beach and the sea. The breakfast is super comprehensive, delicious, and offers a wide variety of options, and the restaurant ambiance is also very nice. Many Japanese guests book this hotel to experience water activities, which I didn't try, but the facilities and services here are quite complete. It's also quite close to a convenience store. However... the tatami room had a strange smell, possibly from the building materials, which did affect my mood a bit.

We originally booked one of the newer renovated rooms but when we changed dates, only rooms in the “separate” building were available. Was a bit worried the rooms in the separate building would be very old and dingy but pleasantly surprised to have a comfortable stay. Of course, the room is slightly dated (maybe feels like 1990s-early 2000s) but still very clean, comfortable snd spacious. Do note that it is a tatami room so you have to be used to sitting and sleeping on the floor so it might not be suited for older people or those with mobility issues. Meals were simple and tasty. The road to the hotel is narrow and slightly away from town but considering the price, it’s good value for money.

We have stayed in Odayo and choose this as its the same chain. Rooms are very small and as a couple I will recommend the 3pax room. The hotel is really dated and may need a renovation soon. We took room 1007, a triple (see sitemap, the rest are very small) and was just adequate. Location is very central and car park space are plentiful.. one one each side of the hotel. Breakfast spread is not as good as Odayo breakfast. Free Ramen and ice cream remains unchanged. Still would recommend this hotel as staffs service attitude is superb.

Pang Tzer FangLocated close to Ichibangai area so it was convenient for meals & drinking. Reserved parking costs ¥1,100 per day.
Room has 2 x double beds & could accommodate 4 people.
Blinds had a thick layer of dust.
Onsen was basic but the water used felt silky smooth.
Free flow of a wide range of soju, house white & red wines, 4 types of Yomeishu, 3 types of vinegar drinks… were a bonus.
