"We stayed here as a group of three girls on a trip, and we were absolutely thrilled! The ocean-view room and open-air bath, the luxurious breakfast buffet, and the service from all the staff were all wonderful! At around 6000 yen per person, it's incredible value for money! This is definitely a hotel you should stay at if you come to Miyazaki! If I have the chance to come to Miyazaki again, I will definitely stay here again! Thank you!"

"Miyazaki Kanko Hotel stands along Tachibana Koen-dori Street (1-1-1 Matsuyama, Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, 880-8512) overlooking the Oyodo River. It is a large, well-established hotel. There is a large hot spring bath on the first floor of the West Wing, and on the second floor is Shokusai Kenbi Ichiboku Ichiso, where the breakfast buffet is located. A dinner buffet is also available. The hotel is old, so there is nothing new about it, but the rooms are spacious, the utility room is spacious, and the bathtub is also large. There is only an AC outlet for power, no USB, and the AC at the desk has to be plugged in through a wall socket at the foot of the desk, which gives it a sense of history, but this is not a problem."

"The room is big with all the amenities. Our room is facing the sea, we were able to see the sun rise, super gorgeous! The onsen is also great, free for us, and it is open to the public with surcharge. The hostel location is 10/10, close to the Aoshima island, and there is a big park nearby! We enjoyed our stay."

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Stay in one of 124 guestrooms featuring flat-screen televisions. Conveniences include desks and electric kettles, and housekeeping is provided daily.

"The affiliated parking fee was 1,000 yen per night, and you could enter and exit freely, but you had to take your parking ticket to the front desk each time you entered and exited. The location is very good, so I think 1,000 yen per night is cheap. The free drink bar has a wide selection of shochu, fruit liqueurs, charcoal water, and ice, so you can make a variety of chuhai and cocktails by combining them. The natural hot spring is not large (it can fit 5 or 6 people), but it is clean and the quality of the spring is good. The free breakfast buffet has a decent variety of side dishes and freshly baked bread, all of which are delicious, and the coffee is also delicious. Overall, it feels like a business hotel with a lot of service. It was clean, the front desk was kind and polite, and it was a comfortable stay. However, there is only one elevator that can accommodate about 10 people, and the emergency stairs are not open, so it gets crowded around 8:30 in the morning. Someone I met at the hotel said that if there are many group guests staying, you may have to wait for the elevator for more than 10 minutes."

The panoramic view of the rock, "Oni-no-Sentaku-iwa," and the Pacific Ocean. The natural hot spring famous for making your skin smooth is also splendid.

"Great view for the sea view room. Private onsen not very convenient if us a raining day cause need to walk out if the building. As we came back late a bit late and most local restaurant need to book in advance. The hotel is kind to help us to reserve a table for us. The restaurant actually was full but the room was big enough to share a table with the local."

Booked their specialty room, comes with a traditional Japanese bath tub in the room, and room is spacious. Hospitality was great. We went for the show at night at a temple, the ryokan staff offer to provide us portable chairs as we have senior with walking stick and pregnant woman in the group, to bring to the show instead of sitting on the tatami floor. I love the foods provided as well. Overall, pleasant experience.

This is the best decision I’ve made during my trip in Miyazaki. I should have stayed longer here than I did in the previous booking. Almost everything is almost perfect, from the artificial hot spring to the traditional Japanese bedrooms, which are great additions to the Japanese experience. I believe it is one of the most affordable hotels in the area. The breakfast is a buffet that is included in my stay, and I had to add the Dinner buffet, which is very worth the price since the place doesn't have many restaurants nearby. The hotel is also within a 5-10 minute walk from the JR train station. The staff are also friendly. I definitely will be back here when I revisit Miyazaki soon. The day I visited was rainy, so I was unable to visit many places.

Our stay at Marushinso Ryokan was truly memorable. Easily accessible by car, this family-run ryokan offers an authentic experience with spacious rooms and well-maintained shared facilities. The onsen is particularly delightful, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. What truly sets Marushinso Ryokan apart is the food. The authentic cuisine is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, making every meal a highlight of our stay. We highly recommend this ryokan for anyone seeking a genuine and delightful Japanese experience.
