Great value for what we have paid for. Efficient check-in process. High quality public bath facilities with two hot hot springs (one indoor and one outdoor), one sauna and one cold water pool. Although this hotel is listed as a 3-star hotel, we would say it is much better than many 4-star hotels in many regards. The employees at the check-in desk speak decent English too.

The place is clean and tidy. The food (both dinner and breakfast) is one of the vests I have had in Japan!

We drove to the main store at first. Although there is a free shuttle bus from the main store to this branch, remember not to make a mistake if you drive by yourself. The hotel has a children's activity area and a hot water park where you need to wear a swimsuit. There are also two hot spring areas, including carbonated springs and sulfur springs. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to the Aso crater, which is very convenient! There is also free hell ramen for midnight snacks. We bought a hotel package that includes dinner. Dinner has sashimi and local wine to drink. It is very rich and recommended!

A lovely hotel to stay in close to Kumamoto Castle. The rooms are nice and clean with friendly staff who are very helpful. Bath areas on the 12th floor are also quite nice and have a range of offerings inside. Breakfast was included with the price we paid, however, all the food was a little tasteless, if paying for breakfast, it is easy to go downstairs and get something but I’d probably go somewhere else if paying.

Located in the resort area, suitable for self-drive personnel, and zoo, Aso volcano is very close, there is a large free parking lot for parking,, I ordered a one-night 2-eat, dinner, are buffet, dinner highlight is all-you-can-eat matsutake crab legs , all you can drink different sake, the others are the usual Japanese buffet. Nothing special. Breakfast was also no highlight, but there was daylight at breakfast, being able to look at the outside view against the large glass window was relaxing.

There are many public and private bath to choose from in this ryokan. Plus you can get the kurokawa onsen pass (tegata) which gives you access to 3 external onsens in the town (most ryokans in town are participating) within one year of purchase of the tegata. We didn’t book dinner at the hotel, and used the diner time to try Nonohana お宿 野の花 and Ryokan Konoyu 黒川温泉 旅館 こうの湯, then next morning before breakfast I went to most of the onsens in the hotel, then after breakfast we checked out and tried Miyama Sanso 山みず木別邸 深山山荘, all four places (including this hotel) have amazing onsens and views. We drove so it was easier for us to try onsens far from the hotel, but driving in town wasn’t the easiest given narrow roads. The parking lot is a few minutes walk from the hotel, we kept the key with us for easy move around.

The service attitude of the counter staff was good, and the accommodation rules were clearly explained. The public bathhouse on the first floor is well-equipped. There was a little girl crawling in the outdoor female public pool on the top floor, so I didn't go there. There are many types of breakfast, and there is unlimited supply of Aso milk. You can eat a lot. full. It is recommended to live in a high-rise building, so you can see the beautiful scenery of Mount Aso outside the window in the morning.

The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room. We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous. There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

The soundproofing is not good. Although everyone has a separate cubicle, there is no separate locker area, so the noise of people taking things is very loud. The front desk staff does not speak English very well. When I checked in on the second night, the front desk staff told me that someone who claimed to be my friend took my room key, which was quite scary. Later I found out that this person was the resident next door, but I didn't know her at all.

It was far from the city center, but it was quiet and nice, and the hotel's hot spring water was good. The facilities were small, but the room was spacious and the view was good. The soundproofing wasn't that great, but I slept well enough. The breakfast was delicious.

The guy at the front desk was very nice and could speak Chinese. It was very close to Mizusenji Temple and they gave me discount coupons. Opposite was 711 and next to it was a large supermarket with a wide variety of food. You can buy some to take with you to a picnic under the cherry blossoms.

A beautiful and cozy Ryokan located in a quiet town. It was the new year when I booked a stay with them but I was still able to find stores that are open for dinner. Staffs were able to speak a little English, sufficient enough for standing and communication. They made effort to remember every guests who have checked in and you can only make reservations for their private bath onsen upon check in. Breakfast was sumptuous and needed to be booked as well. If you have more time, I would recommend to book and recharge for two or more nights instead. Will definitely visit again.

The dining environment in the lobby is clean and tidy, there is a heater for heating, it is close to the station, there is a parking lot with free parking, there is also a heater table in the lobby for heating, there is space in the room to open the luggage compartment, and the bath water is hot enough.

On the way to Aso Mountain by self-driving yesterday, there was a traffic accident in the barren mountains and wild mountains. Everyone was fine, but the car could no longer move. The car rental company arranged for a tow truck. I originally wanted to cancel the booked hotel, but the hotel actually said to pick us up🥹. As a result, the hotel took 1.5 hours to come and another 1.5 hours to go back. Originally one meal and two meals, they actually left dinner for us, very touched. In the morning of the second day, the hotel manager actually said that he could rent another car for us, and even drove us to pick up the car so that we could continue our journey. Their service is really good.

There are no private hot spring baths, there are open-air public baths. There are only two independent indoor hot spring baths for the use of the entire hotel. There are two keys during the period. Fengli, unfortunately there is no reservation service, so I don’t know when other guests will return their keys.

I want to say that the front desk boss is a super nice guy, an old man. The company should give him a 10-fold bonus. The service was so good, I felt so warm. I said I wanted to book a ticket, and he booked it for me at 8:00 in the morning. He came to my room twice and handed it to me personally. They also said they would postpone my check-out by half an hour because I was worried that there would be no car available early in the morning.

Ryokan Yumotoso is in a perfect location in the quaint town of Kurokawa. There are about 12 rooms only, hence its quite a quiet and small establishment. Service staff are all great, and the room view is fantastic looking over the beautiful river. The open onsen also overlooks nature, and private onsens are rustic. As per Ryokans, breakfasts and dinners are included, and so far, we have never been disappointed with food in Ryokans, including Yumotoso. Do note that parking lots are limited, and the lane leading to Yumotoso is rather narrow. Would recommend Yumotoso for its great location, fantastic room view and rustic environment.

We have a good experience in this Onsen hotel. A lady greeted us at the entrance and she served us very well in the dinner. The private outdoor onsen gave us an enjoyable experience. Moreover, she share many information with us, and she could explain clearly how we prepare to visit Mountain Ah So on next day, so that we finally could visit the cracker no 1. I highly recommended this hotel to anyone visit Minamiaso.

It is a location where you can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Tsuetate and was impressed by the sincere service of the staff. The buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner is made up of a variety of high-quality foods. The tableware was beautiful, the food was all delicious, and the staff were very friendly. It was a really happy time to enjoy a variety of hot springs, including two hot spring facilities in the hotel and a variety of hot springs, including Kisanoyu outdoor hot springs.
