"This onsen is a popular place for Japanese tourists. We were nearly the only westerners there. It was a real cultural experience for us. The staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner. We went there to relax and experience the onsen. Our room was comfortable and clean with a great view of the forest valley. We were constantly surprised at the extras that were available. There is a well maintained games room, the teas available after bathing and drinks in the lobby area. We also made use of the free electric bikes to explore the area.
They bathing areas, male and female, has 3 baths, a cold bath and sauna. We are now big fans of onsen bathing.
If you are wanting a different experience to the city I would highly recommend this onsen."

This hotel is all twin room. Room size 32 square meters.The bed is 120 cm width.
"The hotel's location near the restaurant district means you'll never be short of dinner options.
While it might not be a full breakfast, they offered a nice perk: two pastries every morning and coffee from a nearby cafe, which was delicious.
Another great feature is access to the APA spa, a partner facility. It's in the building across the street and boasts a top-floor observation bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna. The indoor bath had perfectly hot water, ideal for relaxation, and the open-air bath was just the right temperature for a long, comfortable soak. The spa hours (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) were generous, allowing us to use it as often as we liked. The changing room had a single coin-operated laundry machine that cost 300 yen per cycle, with automatic detergent dispensing.
I had no complaints about the bed making or cleanliness.
We stayed in a room for four, but be aware that there's only enough workspace for one person if you need to use a PC. Each bed having its own reading light and power outlet was a very convenient touch.
The separate toilet, sink, and bath were a huge plus when staying with multiple people.
One unusual but welcome amenity was a microwave, in addition to the standard facilities."

Guest UserLocation: Right next to Omicho Market, about a 15-minute walk from Kanazawa Station, and easily accessible by bus. Kanazawa city center is quite small, and the hotel is about a 10-minute walk to Korinbo, the main shopping district.
Room Layout: Upon entering the hotel, you remove your shoes and walk barefoot, giving it a Japanese onsen hotel feel. The rooms are tatami style, and you switch to slippers when entering the restroom.
Surrounding Environment: I was assigned a room not facing the street, which was quite quiet. The hallway soundproofing, however, was average. One night after midnight, I could clearly hear some Hongkongers speaking loudly in their room.
Service: It was decent. The front desk staff's attitude was fine, but they enforce a policy of cleaning rooms only once every three days or more. If you request daily cleaning, there's an additional charge of 1500 JPY, which is a bit annoying.
Hot Spring Facilities: Pretty good! There's an outdoor onsen and a sauna. The onsen area is quite spacious. After soaking, you get free ice pops, and there's late-night ramen available. It was a very comfortable hot spring experience.

The hotel's service is meticulous and considerate, and the staff and driver are kind and kind throughout the whole process. Whether it is check-in reception and demand assistance, they are patient and thoughtful. They are considerate of the guests everywhere, making people feel at home instantly. In particular, free shuttle service is also provided, so that you don't have to worry about traffic problems, which saves a lot of trouble for the journey, and the caring degree is full.

R ToroHakuchoro is a classic in Kanzawa, the decor is very tastefully done and the overall atmosphere has character. It’s onsen is natural spring water and though the bath are relatively modest, it never gets crowded. They provide free bus shuttles to and from the Kanazawa station and is a very helpful feature. Rooms are large and well appointed and everything in the fridge - water, tea, orange juice and beers are free and topped up everyday. The stained glass in the lobby area and in the rooms are nice touched included the very nice pottery ware used for breakfast! Breakfast buffet spread is both western and Japanese and they even now have sparkling wine and sake for breakfast!
Definitely has character!
