The hotel can provide free delivery service! Be sure to contact the hotel in advance! The hotel is also quite far from the pier, and there is a flight of stairs to get there, but because of this, the room can see the big torii! One night and two meals are good, and the hot spring private bath is also good! When you leave, you can store your luggage, and then go to the pier to play, and ask the tourist center at the pier to call the hotel and ask them to send your luggage to the pier, free of charge!

BlueBulbInitially i wanted to book a hotel somewhere in the downtown. But the breakfast and the dinner here caught my eyes. Also the view of the inland islands.
I stayed 2 nights here, I came from Fukuoka where my plane landed. The taxi fare from hiroshima station to the hotel is about 3000-3500 yen.
There is free hotel shuttle bus but i did not take it. Also, there is public bus stopping right outside the hotel (which i found out later).
Though the hotel is old, it is well kept and clean.
The staff were very eager to assist the guests and there is always a smile on the face.
I was given the 17th floor facing east. But the morning sun was too bright. Though it didnt matter much to me.
Another reason i booked this hotel is they have speed boat counter for Miyajima island. I booked one way there as I have the JR pass for return and I have plans after.
One way ticket from hotel to Miyajima is 2400 yen and return is 4500 yen.
There is a convenience store in the hotel.
But I believe they closes at 2200.
Also, there is hot spring in the hotel.
There is a usage charge for it, but i do not recall the price as i did not use.
I went up to the bar on the 1st night. The view was great. Most importantly the price are reasonable too.
For both days, i ate at the chinese restaurant for breakfast.
1st day was Japanese breakfast set.
2nd day was Japanese buffet style breakfast.
They were delicious.
The western and Japanese buffet breakfast at the top floor were very crowded. But they had more selections.
For my return trip to Beppu, I used the concierge (bell desk) to send my big luggage to Fukuoka. The price was okay.
I took the hotel shuttle bus go Hiroshima station. It was a pleasant ride.
Do take note it is first come first serve and there’s a queue.
I will stay here again, should I come back to Hiroshima.
Thank you.

A nice but not great Ryoukan
This was a harder resort to measure, luggage drop off was awkward and the decor is not to the cleanliness id like
That said this ryoukan is on a small island so perhaps its to standard.
What i can say is the room was large enough and the facilities included free yukata rentals, ramen at night and the Onsen view was perfect.
Location wise you are an 8 minute walk to the Torii Shrine but its a small island so wherever you book you wont be far from it.
I think with a refresh of the decor this could go from good to great
But dont expect spotless levels of clean.

Our stay at Hotel Kikunoya on Miyajima was hands-down one of the best ryokan/hot spring hotel experiences we’ve ever had!
We arrived at this beautifully renovated, fully equipped property and were immediately greeted by incredibly warm and friendly staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, and very comfortable. The meals were absolutely delicious—fresh, seasonal, and beautifully presented.
They offer a thoughtful pick-up service between the Miyajima pier and the hotel, which made arrival and departure so easy.
The highlight was celebrating my birthday during dinner. The staff surprised me by gathering around our table, singing “Happy Birthday,” and presenting a sweet little souvenir gift. It felt so heartfelt and made us feel truly at home during our entire stay.
I can’t recommend Hotel Kikunoya (菊乃家) highly enough to anyone visiting Miyajima—whether you’re looking for stunning views, excellent onsen facilities, or just genuine Japanese hospitality. Thank you so much, Kikunoya!

Guest UserThe location is super convenient, just a 10-minute walk from Hiroshima Station. The hotel has a hot spring bath, which is so relaxing after a day of exploring. Across the street, there's a huge supermarket called Youme that's open until midnight. It's really good value for money, and they even discount food after 8 PM. Getting to Miyajima and the airport is easy, with buses and trams available right at Hiroshima Station. For shopping, it's just a three-stop bus ride to the main shopping district. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

小兔媽媽
I come to the island mainly to visit the rabbits and enjoy the quietness with the rabbits in semi nature! And this is the only hotel I can stay on this island. But everything is on average with friendly and helpful staff! The only thing I want to give a feedback is the smell of the room. After staying there for 2 nights, my clothes came with a strange smells from the bedding and its dated and damped smell in the room. Everything is clean but when the building got old, smells will just come along inevitably. So its better to offer air freshener or purifier in the room.

The location of the hotel is a bit remote, but it is a good place to rest on vacation. The hotel staff is attentive. As soon as the self-driving tour arrives, the staff will push the luggage cart to greet and help. It feels very good. The welcome products are distinctive and the check-in procedures are detailed and efficient.
The hotel lobby self-service bar, 24 hours coffee tea and savoury products, there is a red, white, sake test machine for experience, 10 pm more than an hour, a light supper Japanese curry rice.
The public hot spring environment and quality are not lost. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring pools. The hot spring dressing room supplies are slightly less intimate and complete. The dressing room environment is narrower than expected. The hot springs are not only available for hotel guests. When visiting, they are used as noon. Many local elderly people pay to use the hot springs together. Due to too many people's relationships, it affects the experience. It is too discolored. The whole journey has only gone to a public hot spring once.
Fortunately, the hotel has two paid private hot springs to choose from. The decoration style is black and white. The environment is better than the public hot spring bath area. The charge is 50 minutes as a one-time period. An appointment is required to make up for the shortcomings of the public hot spring.
Four people stayed in a special room type for three days and two nights. The room was very satisfied with the horizontal decoration, comfortable and spacious, with a terrace sea view and a must-have environment.
The hotel's stay package includes two meals in the morning and evening. In terms of meals, dinner only provides French dinner, high quality, unique taste, paid meal and wine selection and cost-effective, but the two-night dinner has been defaulted to French, there is no other or Japanese dinner choice, slightly lost choice and monotonous loss of color, As for the hotel's Japanese breakfast is not a buffet form, a single Japanese breakfast, no coffee bread, light and healthy taste, slightly inferior to the average Japanese hotel breakfast, this point is the most disappointing.
Overall, hotel services and environment are still a must. . I hope that the restaurant will provide more choices and it will be impeccable, and it is still highly recommended ☺️☺️

We had a wonderful time enjoying the onsen bath, recliner lounge, ocean terrace and beautiful view from our room (Note: trip.com booking of lowest priced room with sea view is not correct as the room is located at the lowest level and you only see trees before the ocean. We need to pay extra to upgrade the room to a better view). There's a private onsen bath tub in the room too. They also provide free coffee, popsicle sticks and yukata at the lobby. Dinner and breakfast has a reasonable spread but most food (especially the fried ones) are pre-cooked and cold. So they don't taste as good. The location is high up the hills. It's not possible to get a bus and then climb up with heavy luggages. The best way is to take a taxi, so be prepared to pay the price.

LuxiaoliThe hotel is located on Heiwa Boulevard, a 10-minute drive from Hiroshima Station, and offers a free shuttle bus service to the Shinkansen station in the morning. Public transport is also convenient, with a 7-Eleven convenience store diagonally opposite. The rooms are small but cozy. Like all Dormy Inn hotels, there's no bathtub in the room, but you can enjoy the public hot springs on the rooftop. Standard amenities include free late-night ramen, ice cream, and lactic acid drinks in the morning. Overall, I was very satisfied. There's a shopping street right behind the hotel with plenty of food and drink options, so you don't need to walk far to get to Hon-dori. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is also just a 20-minute walk away.

Natasha KretovaI really loved this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are comfortable. The staff is very friendly. They have a wonderful free Onsen, and I particularly enjoyed the shampoo bar. There's also a free drink bar on the first floor. A shuttle to Miyajima departs at 10 AM. The breakfasts are amazing. We'll definitely come back to this hotel again when we visit Miyajima.
