Hot Springs Hotels in Yunnan, China

I booked a twin room at Zhulao, and the front desk upgraded me to a Kaleidoscope Twin Room in the main building, 3rd floor. The balcony offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the Dongfengyun Kaleidoscope architectural complex. Right outside the hotel is the iconic Red Wine Bottle building, and photos taken from the balcony turned out stunning. The stay included admission tickets to the scenic area and shuttle service, so I didn't have to pay extra, making it super convenient to enter and exit the park. The tickets could be used unlimited times. I also tried the hotel's photography service, and the photos were excellent. I had two Chinese meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was decent. The set menu was a bit average, but ordering à la carte seemed better. Breakfast was quite rich. The bell staff at the entrance were very proactive, helping with luggage, and taking me to the scenic spots for photos and sightseeing in an electric cart. They also enthusiastically introduced the attractions and routes along the way. I also want to specially thank the floor attendant, Yang Fen, who helped with several requests during my stay. My stay included a one-time use of the mini-bar: the drinks were quite good. The fruit platter on the first day had limited variety. Dongfengyun Characteristic Town admission tickets and sightseeing car tickets: Convenient for guests to explore. 5 retouched digital photos from the hotel's photography service (advance reservation required): I chose the package and was quite satisfied with the experience 👍.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent. However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward.

I sit by the window with a cup of coffee, watching Erhai Lake slowly awaken. The breeze is gentle, the water shimmers serenely, as if breathing for me~~ Breakfast 🍳 is a double delight for both sight and taste— Exquisite dishes transform in the play of light and shadow. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, clouds drift slowly, and people sit at leisure. 🏡 Some memorable glimpses: · Ground floor seaside garden: Green lawn, Cangshan mountains, and Erhai Lake, pristine like a newborn dream. · Swing lobby: 180-degree sea view. No need to compete with the scenery, it's already the perfect composition.

When traveling with my girlfriend, the most important thing is the hotel, followed by the food. I've been to Mile many times, and honestly, the hotels there are generally quite good. But this time, the Mountain Retreat was a truly delightful surprise. The service was on par with a five-star international hotel. From the welcome gift to the hotel's amenities, everything made for a wonderful stay. The lobby design is a wonderful blend of Chinese and Western elements. It's spacious, and the hand-drip coffee is excellent! The hot spring on the first floor has both public and private pools, and importantly, it's very well-ventilated—not stuffy at all! Since I drove there, I parked right next to the hotel, making it convenient to go out and explore. What surprised me most was the body lotion provided by the hotel; it smelled amazing! I only used half a bottle, but I took the rest home to find the same product online, haha. It wasn't cheap, but it was definitely worth the price. In my opinion, a truly good value experience is what I call value for money! I didn't take pictures of the room because we arrived too late and slept in a mess. You can see other people's pictures. Clean and luxurious!

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise and one of the highlights of our stay in Lijiang. The rooms are spacious and come with a private hot spring tub, which was the perfect way to relax after a long day exploring Lijiang Ancient Town. Both my children absolutely loved it, and it became something we looked forward to every evening. The service was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. At times, it felt like having a private concierge at our fingertips. We also appreciated the complimentary minibar, snacks, afternoon tea, and hotel transfers in a comfortable vehicle. As we were travelling with children, I requested rooms close to each other, and the hotel kindly upgraded one of our rooms to accommodate our request. The kids were also delighted by the buggy rides around the property. Some travelers may find the hotel slightly further from the old town, but for us, that was actually a plus. It provided a peaceful environment to relax and unwind away from the crowds. The private hot spring tub alone makes it worth staying here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Lijiang.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, particularly because of its quiet atmosphere and attention to detail. The room I stayed in featured an onsen-style bathtub combined with a shower area, and I appreciated that the hotel provided a bottle of sanitizing solution to enhance hygiene and guest comfort. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and well maintained. The hotel also offers self-service laundry facilities, including washing machines and dryers on the rooftop, which is very convenient for longer stays. Guests are also welcome to use the rooftop onsen pool, providing a relaxing experience after a day of sightseeing. Although the rooms do not come with a minibar, the hotel compensates by offering complimentary ice cream and additional bottled drinking water at the reception level. While the ice cream was not delicious, the extra refreshments were a thoughtful touch. It will be good if the hotel not to allow guests smoke in common area such as dining hall for breakfast. Overall, this hotel stands out for its peaceful environment, cleanliness, convenient access to food and park, and thoughtful amenities at very reasonable room rate. I would gladly stay here again.

My stay at Mile Holiday Hotel was extremely satisfying. The front desk service was warm and efficient, making check-in quick and seamless. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and both the lighting and soundproofing were excellent. The outdoor pool had refreshing water, offering a great recreational experience. The overall environment was comfortable and pleasant, and the service was consistently attentive. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Mile.

The room was very nice and comfortable. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 AM, and the receptionist was still waiting for us. The projector was great, the mattress was comfortable, and breakfast was provided, which was excellent. The service was also very warm and welcoming. As for the foot bath tub, we probably didn't see it because we checked in so late.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We originally booked a 60-square-meter hot spring king room with a terrace and breakfast. To our surprise and delight, the hotel kindly upgraded us to an even larger room free of charge. The upgraded room was incredibly spacious. Besides the bedroom, it featured a separate living room, a large balcony, an enormous bathroom, a jetted tub, and a private sauna. The moment we opened the door, we couldn't help but exclaim, ”This is huge!” The room's design heavily incorporated wood, complemented by high, distinctive ceilings, creating a strong resort vibe. Our favorite areas were the balcony and living room; they felt incredibly open and were perfect for simply relaxing, enjoying tea, or chatting. After a soak in the jetted tub in the evening, followed by a session in the sauna, all the day's fatigue just melted away. This setup far exceeded our initial expectations. The hotel's service also deserves praise. While a free upgrade isn't mandatory, it's these extra touches that make guests feel valued and cared for. The biggest takeaway from this stay is that we booked a hot spring room but unexpectedly enjoyed a suite-level experience. From the room size and facilities to overall comfort, everything was exceptionally satisfying. I would definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation.
